It looks like the only option is the black one. The other colors are sold out.

Bummer! But thanks for the heads up… I just updated the post.

Is this the cheapest it goes or should I wait for a better deal?

    • Melanie Couzens

If I were you I would snatch it up. You would be hard pressed to get it cheaper than this. I mean there is always a chance but this is an excellent deal.

OT: anyone seen where the best deal for iPhone watch ⌚️ is this year? TIA🙏🏼

    • Kathryn

If you’re ok with the original, B & H Photo has great deals

This code also works on the 16 gb Fire HD 6. On sale for 89.99 , so it brings it to $69.99.

  5. Jacky

Does anyone have one? Wondering why I would get this version over the regular Fire. I understand this has HD but the screen is smaller and it doesn’t have an option for adding additional memory. Thanks

    • April

I have it it may be smaller but the HD is awesome. I have the 16gb.

Hi, I’m only finding 1 tablet for $170 on QVC.

      • Gregg

You go Qvc and search amazon

    • Grace Face

Thank you for the QVC deal! My mom wants to buy these of my nephews!

  7. Jess

    Great deal on QVC!

  8. Andrea

7 inch 8gb is in many Black Friday ads for $33

  9. Barb

How does this compare to the Fire Hd 7″? What is the difference? Would this be as good as the older verson Nexus 7 table, and good for a 6 year old? Anyone know? Thanks in advance!

    • lily

This is Not as good as the Nexus 7 was for it’s time. If rooted the Nexus 7 still remains one of the best rated tablets. Fire is a good starter tablet with decent overall performance. It won’t give you great multitasking. However, for a child it is great. It will play YouTube and it will play low taxing games. If all you want to do is browse the internet, read, play minor games, or catch a video on YouTube then it’s a fine tablet. For the price it performs very well and has minimal delay
You can find deals on the regular 7in for $30 range. The HD has a better picture.

We got two of these for the kids last year for Christmas (and paid more). I hate them. There is no way to add extra storage, it came with “special offers” which means there are ads on the home screen at all times (some not appropriate for children) and they don’t have very much storage space. There is only 4.5G of space you can actually use. The rest is used up by the programs running it and can’t be deleted. Waste of money for my family.

    • Mel

      Thanks for the feedback!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh darn 🙁 Sorry to hear that Jennie! Thanks for your feedback on these!

I got one last year for my 6 year old daughter. But it’s not the HD. On black Friday they were only $35. It does have ads but I never notice them. And I can easily go on amazon and pay the couple dollars to take them off. It doesn’t come with a memory card so I do still need to get one for extra storage. She’s had it a year and still works perfectly. They have a kids one but it cost way more and doesn’t connect to the Internet like this one. And it’s 2 years no questions asked return for any damages. I paid over 200 for her leap pad and when it stopped working 6 months later for no reason they refused to cover it under the warranty so I will never purchase a leap pad again. But the amazon tablet is amazing and I don’t have to worry about her messing it up. I actually want one for myself now. And I’ll probably get one if they drop to $35 again. She also has the amazon kids thing where it’s only like $2 a month and she’s gets all the kids apps she wants and constantly plays great games that she loves!

I second the recommendation of this over kids version. Got one for my 4 year old GD for her birthday because she wouldn’t leave mine alone. I found lots of free educational apps and “book” apps and moved them all into Amazon Free Time where her mom can set parental controls on time she can use it. Deleted almost everything else. Putting the apps in Free Time also saves memory on the tablet. You can also set a password so they can’t buy anything. The special offers are only on the lock screen and you can set filters so there is nothing inappropriate; I find them unobtrusive. The tablet is extremely durable, kids would have to be deliberately abusive to damage it and is a nice size and weight for small hands.

If you have the Amazon photo $20 off tablet promo code it makes this only $29.99!

    • Anija

      Please clarify

    • Anija

      Amazon Photo? Clarify pls.

      • Rose

Collin posted awhile back if you sign up and upload image on Amazon Photo They give you codes in return. I got 3 different codes to use on certain products. But even so the 20 off 40 or more Tablet purchase doesnt apply to kindles. I did score a Fuji Mini 8 for 20.49 after buying it for 50.49 and using the 2nd code 30 off 40 or more. So I got the Fuji camera for 20.49

    • Nicole

      Laura the offer excludes kindles

    • Rose

      Doesnt work on kindles
