Unfortunately, it doesn’t work. When clicked on the given link, it pops up redeem window and asks to provide a code. I tried to enter VLMJK59MLD&code, VLMJK59MLD, VLMJK59MLD& but nothing worked
How strange, as I am not finding that. Are you using a mobile device? If not, maybe check again in a different browser. Hoping that helps!
Can these be unlocked to use with other carriers?
AT&T – it’s in the details
Yes, I know this is for At&t, but some phones can be unlocked and used with other cell carriers when you put in a code.
My son needs a new phone to replace his broken one. What does pre-paid mean? We have ATT service with unlimited data use, so can he buy this and use this with our current plan? If anyone can help with this I would appreciate any advice. I
It just means that the phones can be used with their prepaid service which used to be called GoPhone. You can usually just take the SIM card out of your current phone (prepaid or plan phone) and pop it into the new phone then use it with no problems.
We bought a prepaid iPhone 6 and took it to the ATT store and had them add a line to our plan and it worked just fine. I’ve heard you’ll need to go to the store and have them switch out the SIM card rather than doing it yourself because the phone won’t work.
Thank You so much Cara and GB you both answered my question.
We purchased this phone today and took it into the AT&T store to try to get them to activate it on a post-paid plan (regular plan) and they wouldn’t do it. They said it would work for a month but then every month it would have to be re-activated on the plan and to return the phone.
Big bummer
Online support says something different though, would love to hear if it worked for you!
I’m tempted to try and see if it’s possible to use with a regular plan. If I do, I’ll post my results.
