I haven’t tried pantry boy but I’m very intrigued by the idea of everything being chopped, measured, and marinated. I currently do hello fresh and have done blue apron in the past but I really hate chopping veggies and mincing garlic. It takes up soooo much time. This would be nice on nights where I need to have dinner done asap, like when my oldest has practice or a game. I would love to hear from others who have tried this particular service. TIA
Gobble is very similar with all the prep done for you already. The meal types and selection is excellent and we’ve been really pleased with them. My friends who have tried it, love it too. They also serve a limited area, but you can check 🙂 here’s my referral link which gives you a free dinner kit for 2 https://www.gobble.com/invites/G0BmtsBEU
I’ve tried Gobble through a Groupon deal. I’ve also tried Marley Spoon, Home Chef, and Hello Fresh. Gooble is the only one I noticed that will have some items pre-cooked, and some items, like green onions and veggies, didn’t look fresh upon arrival. That was also a major complaint by reviewers on Groupon who tried out the Gobble deal. I personally have been least impressed with how Gooble’s meals taste. Their recipe cards are way too small also. Trying to finish using my Groupon credit up so it won’t be a total waste. I’m trying out Sun Basket at the moment.
Code REV80 takes almost $50 off your first box
Off which service
Thank you!
I was able to get this to work so I got 3 meals for 2 people for $12 something shipped!
How? I clicked through and at checkout, the $30 code was entered. so i “x” it out and tried entering “Rev80”, but it just said “Unable to find a valid discount matching the code entered”.. 🙁
Also, do you not get to pick or even see your meals? I just picked the meat box and it just kept giving me options to continue to checkout. Thx!
I got it! 🙂 I logged out and back in. Then my cart emptied, but I just selected my box, then checkout and input the code. and it worked! Carnivore box (6 meals) for $12.47 shipped!
Not supported in my area, dang.
Bummer! 🙁 Hopefully they will be in your area soon!
I tried Pantry Boy recently after getting a Groupon. The meals were good and it was nice to have the veggies prepared and the meats marinated. The downside is that there aren’t a lot of choices with the meals.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks a ton for your review Kitty! Glad your meals were good!
This sounds brilliant! I hope they have some meals my family will enjoy.
I hope so too!
Pantry boy is located basically in my back yard, they are a local family and their food is very good. We tried temporarily but we have some picky eaters and couldn’t please everyone. It’s fresh and easy to make. It’s crazy comparable to blue apron and all those others.
If you haven’t tried sunbasket.com yet here is $40 off your first order. As a foodie I love all the new and different meals and there are tons of choices on meals.

Sweet! I’ve never heard of them but I like Hello Fresh!

Darn, not in my area yet and I live in one of the largest cities in the US lol.
I didn’t like Gobble – ordered twice and both times the items in the box seemed not fresh. With other mail delivery meal kits like Hello Fresh and Blue Apron, the food was fresh and the meat was frozen. With Gobble, the meat was still cold-ish but it made me nervous. And I am home to grab the box the moment it’s delivered. I just ordered the Pantry Boy 4-person omnivore box with 3 meals – it was less than $24 using the code REV80.
Would love to do this but we’re super picky and I see one meal over three weeks that I’d even consider. No way I could pick three a week. Too bad, I loved Marley Spoon when I tried it from H2S so I hope these new meal service deals keep coming!
I currently use Home Chef, that I signed up for through TMobile Tuesday. I love it. The portions are huge and feed my family of 4 (if I add a bit of my own chicken and veggies). The produce arrived very fresh and they send almost everything you need to complete a meal, plus the recipe cards are large and extremely step by step. I ended up getting it an extra week even though my free subscription ended. It is pricey but if you consider going out to eat at a diner for 4 people is $40+, it isn’t bad at all. I paid $29.99 for 3 meals for 2 people (that I expanded to 4 people) and got $5 back through Coupon Cabin. If you are interested in trying them out, here is my referral link

I’m so impressed they offer this in my state of VT. We often miss out on deals like this.
Been wanting to try this. Thanks!
Our favorite is Hello Fresh! Even my husband has commented on how yummy the meals have been. If you’d like to try them for $40 off the first box, use my promo code LHROMA. You will get 6 meals for $19.99! (3 meals x 2 people). That’s hard to beat!!
Hello fresh turned me off, my neighbor gets it and was on vacation last week so gave us their box. The salmon that was received was expired by a month!! The other meats didn’t have a date on them so we didn’t even want to try the rest. Not worth it! Not sure what the resolution was because it was my neighbors account.
Wow! We’ve never had any issues at all…with over 25 boxes! That’s too bad 😓
Can you request dietary restrictions? We do Paleo at my house.
I’ve tried Pantry Boy (along with Home Chef, Sunbasket, Blue Apron and Plated) and it was the least favorite boxed meal delivery service in my household. The meals were very bland and while it gave you the option of cooking it in your slow cooker or the stove top, some of the slow cooker meals were over cooked with the recommended times. If you like bland foods or are a very beginner level cook, you might like Pantry Boy. IMO, any of the other meal services are better by leaps and bounds.
Thanks to the person who recommended code Rev80, which takes 80% off. May not stack codes so I used this one instead. Couldn’t get $30 off code to work anyway. Ordered carnivore for 2 ppl 3 meals only $12.47 shipped. Can’t wait to try. First time using a service like this.
There r more codes on RetailMeNot, like BOGO.
So, can you can choose or even see the meal options before you checkout?? Or am I somehow missing it? Anyone know what the 3 meat meals are? TIA
Hi there! You will be able to select which type of box you would like to receive, carnivore, omnivore or vegetarian. Be sure to click on the menu tab at the top of the site after you click through the link above to see what meals are offered each week. Hope that helps!
I have always love Hello Fresh! Easy recipes to follow and yummy food. It’s 59.95 for three meals for two people and at first I thought it was pricy but then when I would go shopping to make three meals I was spending close to that anyway! This got me trying new food too! If you use my link below you get 40.00 OFF your box making it under 20.00 to try. I’ll also receive 20.00credit so thanks ahead if you use it and try 💃🏻

I got it! and with Rev80, got 3 meals for 2 people (carnivore box), for $12.47 shipped!! 😀 YAY! Not a bad price to try out a new service. 😉 I’ve only done Home Chef before – on a hot promo – and it was good! but I couldn’t continue for that price. Thanks for posting!
Ohh I am tempted to try this. I have tried Hello Fresh, Gobble, Home Chef and Sun Basket. I liked Hello Fresh and Gobble but now that I have tried Sun Basket, they are in the lead with great food, quality, amazing sauces and the most recyclable contents. Here is a link if you want $40 off your first order making it around $20 to try. https://sunbasket.com/invite/Julie1303847
I signed up and used your link but with $40 off it was $31 something. Didn’t order because that’s not a price I want to try them with. Thanks anyway.
