I’ve learned my lesson- I used to through away my dental bills thinking “I’ve already paid them, I don’t need the statement” One day I opened it and there was a refund check from me overpaying due to insurance payment!!!
Another time I opened a junk item and it was a survey with a $5 bill inside!! I open EVERYTHING now!!!

I got something from my insurance and it said refund and I’m looking through it for the check…$137! Apparently there must have been an audit…dated back to 2014/15.

I’m glad I saw this because my Valpak usually goes from the mailbox straight to the recycling bin! If not, my husband goes through it and I end up with little flyers allllll overrrrr my kitchen counters 🙄. But I’ll definitely check the next one!

I have never gotten one of these Valpak envelopes. I went to their website to “Request Envelope”. I got the message:
Thank you for your request! We will review your mailing information to determine if you reside in an area where our envelope is distributed.

There is no Sam’s Club nearby so I’m sure that the area where I live will not be receiving any of the Instant Win inserts. It seems that we only get coupons for smog checks and attic cleaning.

The direct mail and digital marketing company announced in a news release that it’s randomly placing $100 checks in Valpak envelopes every month in 2018 in all 150 of its U.S. markets.
