Totally Tubular 80s in a Box Gift Idea (Free Printable Included)
Know an 80s fan?
Consider putting together a unique gift basket full of everything dedicated to the best decade – the 80s! 💃
During the 80s, I could be found happily roller skating in my acid washed L.A. Gear jean jacket, collecting Lisa Frank stickers on my Trapper Keeper, or watching my favorite show, Punky Brewster. Being an 80s kid ROCKED!
I love that things seem to be coming back again – including most recently, Caboodles! So fun!
P.S. I know Collin is an 80s kid, too, and she can relate to my excitement about this decade! ha!
Crimped hair don’t care!
If you love 80s nostalgia like me, this is such a fun and thoughtful gift to consider! It could be for Christmas, a birthday, or any special occasion really. Plus, you can create this with just a few things or make a larger box like mine and fill with lots of goodies. 80s inspired gifts seem to be popular lately, so it wasn’t very difficult to collect some cute gifts for my 80s box.
After you’ve collected some nostalgic goodies, just print THIS printable tag I designed, and place everything in a box or basket. Such an easy idea!

I love this easy idea. Let us know in the comments what you would put in your 80s gift basket!
Obviously, you can pick a different decade and fill a basket or box with those items instead. This would also be a super fun stocking theme instead, too. I love giving my kids 80s stuff so then I can play!
Cute idea! I love 80’s stuff.
THANKS! So fun ❤️
Don’t forget Lisa Frank colorful stickers too ; )
Yes I love those!!
Harlow! That was my first thought as well! 😂 Also, anyone remember the trapper keepers? OMGosh that was the only thing that got me excited about going back to school after summer break. And yes!! The garbage pail cards from the ice cream truck! I found some at Dollar Tree not to long ago- the hubs and I were so pumped about that find. Took us back to our childhood!
Also what would complete it for me would be Garbage PAil Kids trading sticker cards ; )
Haha I remember those – so funny!
my husband has a complete set he won’t let me get rid of lol such a nerd
What a cool idea! I think I might do this for my husband for Christmas.
Ah yay! So fun!
Planning an 80s themed birthday party for a friend at the end of this month! This gives me some great ideas! Anyone have any other party ideas?
Oh that’s a fun party theme!
If you live close to a cracker barrel check their shop out. They have little boxes of candy for each decade. They are filled with candies popular from that decade. It would make for a great insert.
Oh I love that idea, so cute! Thanks for sharing!
Tang is not 80’s
Oh darn- leave that out then. Thanks!
Hair Scrunchies are pretty popular again! I found some “vintage” lol ones I had at my parents house and my teen took them from me!
Yes I agree! My daughter loves them too 🙂
I could be wrong but I remember my daughters playing with polly pockets back then
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off DVD
Cute idea. Target has retro My Little Ponies from the 80s – the one pictured is too current.
Great idea – thanks for sharing!
My mom did something similar last year for Christmas and bought everyone items from their childhood. All of the guys got Red Ryder BB guns, other gifts included Pac-Man Atari games, Strawberry Shortcake dolls, Stretch Armstrong, etc. It was super fun and she had such a good time buying all of the gifts and taking us back to our childhood years!
Oh that sounds super fun! What a great mom!
