Work From Home Opportunity: American Express Hiring At-Home Workers in Customer Service
Wanting to work from home?
American Express has both full and part-time Travel Consultant/Customer Service positions available with paid training!
This work-from-home opportunity includes an 11-week, paid training and mentoring program and involves researching and planning to handle travel requests in Amex’s virtual contact center. Duties may include helping customers book flights, car and hotel travel arrangements for their vacations and more.
In order to apply, you must have excellent communication skills, customer service experience, sufficient geography knowledge as well as time management and multi-tasking skills. You will also need to provide a quiet work environment or home office, free from noise and distraction for your full shift. Travel reservation experience is a plus.
Note that shifts are varied and may include evenings, holidays and weekends.
I have interviewed twice. I told them I didn’t want 2 work evenings most of the time because I have young children. They said I had to. I have years & years of related experience & perfect credit. I told them once I can have a balance of not to many evening hours I will work there. Just like apple. Apple through kelly services pay you great than $20 a hours but they own you & you have 2 work a million hours per week & it’s primarily evenings.
Is is telephone communication or strictly online chat ?
@lisa what did you do for Apple?

Harlow, did you do work from home with this company? If not, do you mind sharing what company also? I am looking for something temporary and thinking about applying for this and any other work from home places that others would recommend. TIA!
Hi Pam I can’t say the name of them because they asked us not too for various reasons but I went through a training session of 3 weeks had a landline etc it was awesome to work at home but there are responsibilities still with any job you just really have to please the customer on the phone and know how to get the job done and at times training isn’t sufficient nor upper level assistance so beware at times I didn’t understand how to appease the problem at hand and got laid out on several occasions but the pay was good and I had to work nights and early mornings but was cool to work in pjs with a hot cup of coffee if those benefits outway the mean customers at times it’s good fit best of luck to u in this matter : )
Thank you Hilger for the info!
