I work at a school and there’s a mom that has had every teacher sign this book for her daughter and then saves it for a graduation gift!
Each of my kiddos have a copy, they are 1st and 3rd grade. Since preschool at the end of the school year, we ask their teacher to write them a note inside the book.
I’ve given this book to my niece and nephew on their high school graduation and to my 2 boys – the older one on his college graduation and the younger one on his high school graduation. We passed it around during the party and let everybody write a little note! So neat!

Great book to give to teachers as your child goes thru school for them to write a little note or memory for your child to then receive at high school graduation
Very sweet! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, Cg! We really appreciate it!
My child’s Kindergarten teacher gave this book to each of her students as a gift.💖
I’ve been doing this for my 3 kids… Now that they are in middle and high school, it’s like being a detective – tracking the book with each teacher as they each sign it each year. But it’ll be worth it at graduation. 💚
i’ve been doing this as well. how do you handle middle school and high school since they start rotating and going to multiple teachers?
I give them out the week after spring break to give myself plenty of time and the teachers as well. I put them in an envelope with a checklist of the teachers on it. (It helps to keep the same envelope because the teachers can see how others have done it in years past. The idea being that they sign the book, check their name, and put it in the next person’s box. I put these instructions and my contact info on the outside of the envelope. Before I take it to the school, I email all the teachers and the school secretary and ask that when they have signed it, they ‘reply all’ so we can track it. This doesn’t always happen, but I can reply all asking for an update and we can normally track it down. It’s a lot of work, but I lost one once in middle school only for it to show up a year later at the high school. It was weird… So, now, I take extra precautions.
A teacher friend mentioned that so many people do these now that it is difficult to get them all filled out. She said many times people wait until the last week to bring them in and it can be a busy time for teachers. She teaches middle school.
