Thanks! I know these are supposed to work “fast,” but also seems to need repeated weekly and adds to un-recyclable waste. I partially fill my reservoir with white vinegar, push the button as to brew a cup of coffee (so it gets pulled up into the machine), let it sit anywhere from a couple hours to overnight, then fill the reservoir with clean water and run that through a couple times. The deep-clean lasts awhile. Common method, I believe, but may help somebody who isn’t aware. This is also great for dishwashers and washing machines!

Thank you so much for those tips, tipaye!

I looked at these in store and it didn’t seem like they clean as in descale but rather just clean out the needle tip from any coffee residue.

Wait, I’m supposed to clean my keurig?

I was thinking the same thing! Oops!

I bought these before. They don’t clean anything other than the section you put the pod in. Huge waste of money. There is a bottle of cleaner you can buy that you put in the water reservoir so it cleans the whole machine. I would use the vinegar method described by Tipaye though.

I use distilled water and never have the scaly or clogged machine issues. I think i read to use distilled water on my machines instruction manual so i have always done it. My machine is 6 years old and have had no issues.

How often do you clean yours?
