Fans of Barbie have something new to be excited about! The Classic Barbie American Girl doll is being released for pre-order beginning November 30th. That’s just a few hours from now!

Inspired by the Number One Barbie released in 1959, this American Girl doll is a Barbie collector’s must-have. The doll’s outfit is a replica of Barbie’s iconic black and white striped bathing suit and it has been embellished with over 450 Swarovski crystals! 🤩

This Barbie is limited-edition only and we expect it to sell out quickly.

Here’s how to order this American Girl doll…

If you’re an AG Rewards Berry member or a Barbie Signature member, you can pre-order starting at 6 a.m. PST on November 30th. Note that while the AG Rewards program is FREE to join, you have to spend $500 to become a Berry member.

You’ll have a 24-hour head start to order over the general population which can order starting at 6 a.m. PST on December 1st. The sale window goes until December 14th at 11:59 p.m. PST or until supplies last.

You can preorder on the American Girl doll website, via phone at 800-845-0005, and at Mattel Creations.

There are a few important things to note before you purchase:

• The company is only making 5,000 dolls worldwide.
• Each doll will run you $300.
• There is a limit of 3 dolls per order.
• This is a FINAL SALE which means no returns, refunds, or exchanges.
• You may cancel your order during the pre-order sale window ONLY. Call customer service to cancel.
• Your credit card is charged at the time of pre-order.
• The company lists the expected ship by date as 2024 – a whole year away!
• The company is not shipping to Canada or anywhere outside the USA.

What comes with the Classic Barbie American Girl doll?

The Classic Barbie American Girl doll looks so much like the iconic original. She stands 18″ tall and comes with her recognizable black-and-white bathing suit. The suit, itself, features 455 black and clear Swarovski crystals.

Her outfit also includes fashionable cat-eye sunglasses with blue lenses, golden hoop earrings, and black peep-toe shoes. She has stunning blue eyes that open and close and her retro makeup includes black winged eyeliner, blue eyeshadow, red lips, and red nail polish. Blonde hair styled in a topknot ponytail with curled bangs completes her signature look.

Like other American Girl dolls, this one has a soft cotton body with a moveable vinyl head and limbs. She comes with her very own wooden and metal display stand and a pink wrist tag and certificate card that indicate she is an official replica of the very first Barbie doll.

Lastly, you’ll receive a mini replica Barbie® magazine with original pages!
