CLEAR+ is a paid airport membership that helps you speed through security at participating airports nationwide. Instead of waiting in the standard TSA line, CLEAR+ members use dedicated CLEAR lanes and verify their identity using biometrics at a CLEAR pod. From there, you’ll head straight to bag screening, so there is less waiting and a smoother airport experience.
Who Can Sign Up?
CLEAR is available to U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents age 18+ with a valid government-issued photo ID and citizens of select international countries with a valid passport.

Do you know how long the free trial is for? I am traveling in May. So if you sign up is it for 1 person only? Do you need to sign up for each person traveling? Never used this before. Thank you.
Hey there, Anna! The free trial is 3 months long so it should work well for your May travel. Just remember that it automatically renews into a paid annual membership unless you cancel before the trial ends.
The membership is for one adult (18+), so each adult who wants to use CLEAR typically needs their own membership. The good news is kids 17 and under can go through the CLEAR lane with you for free, so they don’t need to sign up. Hope that helps, and have a great trip!
Do I need to register my kids at all? Or do I just go there and they walk through? They don’t need any biometrics checked?

Just to clarify it looks like this is same as tsa precheck, is that correct?
They’re actually a little different. 😊 CLEAR+ helps you skip the ID check line by verifying your identity with biometrics, while TSA PreCheck gives you a faster screening lane (so you can usually keep shoes and laptops in your bag).
You don’t need TSA PreCheck to use CLEAR+, but if you happen to have both, they can work together – CLEAR gets you to the front of the screening line faster, and PreCheck makes the screening part easier.

I just had to take a photo of myself on my phone and a photo of my passport and scan it. I don’t have to do anything else
I have knee replacements so have to go through the Leidos scanner even though I have TSA Pre-check. Will that still be necessary?

Great question! It seems the Free/reimbursed TSA PreCheck is only offered as a bundle for new CLEAR+ members. You could always double check with customer service to see if there might be a similar offer on that for your current membership. ❤️
