Looking to see if anyone has used this and is it really that good? I have a kid at the Air Force Academy and flying home to east coast so could be a big money saver if you can actually get on a flight but waiting until the last minute seems like a bad idea when everyone is trying to get out of town at the same time!
We purchased these in 2023. I worried I would get stranded so I came home one day early on one trip. They offered a few times a year to purchase flights a few months in advance so we did that. Knowing we had flights made it easier. If you have a flexible schedule and can fly out with 24 hours notice it would be good. Frontier has very uncomfortable seats, but it got us where we wanted to go. It was good for the flights we could make in advance but I wouldn’t do it again. It was stressful with the unknowns and the airplane is very tight. Hope that helps.
Thanks so much for sharing your experience, Jill! 💕 It’s super helpful to hear the pros and cons, especially for anyone considering this. Knowing the flexibility needed and your honest thoughts on the flights is much appreciated! 🤗
Thanks Jill – that helps! I wish it could work for a college kid but when breaks are set – not much flexibility and I definitely don’t want my daughter to be delayed getting home because she can’t find a flight.
You’re welcome. It’s a good price so it may work for their longer breaks from college. There were block out days during holidays but you could probably get more accurate info from their website. My experience was 2 years ago so they may have changed quite a bit. Good luck to you & I hope it works out whatever you decide.
