Hip Sidekick Lina, LOVES this ice cream mix! Check out her thoughts…
What a delicious soft-serve mix! It’s so convenient, too. Just add milk plus the mix to any ice cream maker. And since the mix itself is lactose-free, you can also add water instead of milk for a lactose-free treat!
I love using my Ninja Creami, so I was interested in trying this mix after seeing so many recommendations from Creami owners. I added two cups milk and 1/2 cup powder mix to my container and froze it overnight. Then I was able to mix up creamy fluffy vanilla ice cream that tasted super similar to McDonald’s soft serve!
One thing about me is I love a good soft serve cone once in a while and this tasted great! I love that the per serving cost is just $0.17 too. You can add candy or fruit for more of a DQ Blizzard vibe. You can also make this in most other ice cream makers.

What is the lovely Lina doing to look so great these days!?! Always beautiful, now absolutely glowing!
Oh thanks for the sweet comment Amy! <3 I have been focusing on health and weight loss the last year and feeling great.
lactose free?!?!?!?! I didn’t know this existed, game changer. Maybe the hubs could have this, we usually buy ben and jerry’s dairy free ice cream or lactaid which are both expensive. Wouldn’t I be saving money buying a ninja? (girl math)
You’re so welcome, Ashley! 💕 Love that this lactose free mix option is available for your husband to enjoy – and you’d definitely be saving some cash in the long run with a Ninja Creami (girl math always checks out! 😉). Plus, you can get creative with flavors and toppings at home! 🍦💖
does anyone know if you can add protein powder to this to make it a protein ice cream treat?
Great idea to add protein powder, Amanda! 🙌 It looks like you’ll need 1 cup of liquid for every 1/4 cup of mix, so you may need to adjust depending on how much protein powder you are using. Let us know how it turns out if you decide to give it a try! ❤️
