- First, buy the Costco Membership on Groupon
- Then check the email account you used on Groupon to purchase this offer
- Look in your inbox or spam/trash folder for a confirmation email from Costco with the subject line: “Thank You for your New Costco Membership” from the email address no-reply@costco.com. Keep in mind that you’ll need to allow up to 2 hours to receive this confirmation email.
- Within 2 weeks after signing up, look for the $45 Costco Shop Card to arrive via email
- The free $45 Shop Card offer is only valid for new members or those whose previous memberships have been expired for at least 18 months or more.
To receive a physical Costco membership card, head to the membership counter at your local Costco and show your photo ID and a copy of your Costco or Groupon confirmation email. You do not need to have a physical membership card in order to receive the free $45 Shop Card.

I have never received my shop card as promised after purchasing a membership. Drove over an hour one way to handle in store with no help. Heads up! You may not ever get your shop cards like me. I tried customer service and in store and failed to get any help.

I never received mine either. Waited MONTHS for it. Checked spam folder. Drove to Costco. Called Costco. Called Groupon. Messaged Hip2Save. Noone wants to help.

Costco does have an online chat feature to reach out to. You could also check to see if your email has a Promotions folder, for if it might have landed there instead. In addition, maybe look to see if you might have signed up with a different email address and it was sent to another possible inbox that you could check! And last, sometimes reaching out again over the phone can do the trick if you speak to someone who might have more information! 1-800-774-2678 Hoping one of thes options is most helpful! 💞🤗
I have yet to receive my digital $ from purchasing on Groupon either….Costco says to talk to Groupon, Groupon says to talk to Costco….

Just know they only accept Visa credit cards. I joined through Groupon, we drove down, got our cards in store. We shopped and shopped and shopped… went to pay and we only have Mastercard 🥴 I happen to have an Apple cash app that I never use and somehow I had $6.94 on it- so I bought one pumpkin pie and had a few cents left over! Lol
