This is my current favorite espresso. Set my Nespresso Creatista to ristretto level…. and watch the thick black roasted nutty chocolate sludge dribble down into the tiny clear glass, finishing with a dense crema. Spoon a dollop of foam organic half&half on top and let it cascade down without stirring. This is morning shock with birds singing and colors dancing. Lavazza Ristretto also happens to be the best value per capsule over all major brands… go figure.
After many searches looking for a strong coffee that I can use with my Nespresso, I found this one. It’s not cheap but coffee is delicious and strong for me. I purchase all the time.
Have tried many brands of Nespresso original compatible capsules. This is one of my favorites. Makes a great iced coffee when brewed as Lungo directly into a full 12 oz. glass of ice, then topped with one pump of mocha syrup and a small amount of half and half. When it is on sale at an average cost of 50 to 54 cents/capsule, you can’t beat the value. Highly recommended buy.
