New ALDI Stores are Coming to the Gulf Coast This Year
ALDI is introducing its fast and affordable groceries to the Gulf Coast!
ALDI has announced its Gulf Coast expansion of 22 new stores located throughout the region. Two of these stores are opening before March, which is a part of ALDI’s plan to open 150 new stores in 2022. With this expansion, ALDI is on track to predictably become the third-largest US grocery retailer by the end of this year.
ALDI also plans to broaden online shopping options. ALDI is hoping to expand Curbside Grocery Pickup to 300 more stores by the end of 2022, aiming at a total of more than 1,500 stores. ALDI also offers grocery delivery via Instacart in almost all of its stores.
On February 10th, Louisianna will officially be the 38th state of operation for ALDI as a part of the Southeast expansion. Later this year, the company also plans to add a 564,000-square-foot regional distribution center in Loxley, Alabama, which will support about 100 new stores throughout Alabama, Louisianna, Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle.
“There is nothing like watching shoppers discover ALDI for the first time. There’s a moment of surprise when they realize just how much they can save by shopping with us. We can’t wait to share that experience with more customers as we add new stores across the Southeast.” – Jason Hart, CEO, ALDI U.S.
With this expansion comes approximately 500 jobs both in-store associates and warehouse associates, and you can find more information at careers.aldi.us.
Don’t miss out on these ALDI Deals!
We are getting one in Navarre and Pace Florida
Can’t wait to visit the Navarre store! It’s across the street from Emerald Beach RV Park where we stay for the month of May and October. Don’t have any close to me in TX.
Woohoo! SO exciting! 🙌
I love ALDI
ME TOO! 💖
Price have gone up significantly in Florida. I only buy a few items there each week whereas before shortages and ridiculous inflation, the bulk of my purchases came from them. BJ’s and Walmart have lower prices and I have found an overstock grocery store which helps significantly.
I have a brand new Aldi. I am very disappointed how poorly the shelves are stocked. It is a high traffic store. Half store is always empty. Their prices are right in line with my Kroger. So I prefer Kroger.
Thanks for sharing with us! Sorry to hear your store hasn’t had much in stock.
Is Trader Joe’s expanding? I wish we had one.
We’ll keep an eye out! 👀
I like Aldi’s, but you have to be careful to eat the produce within a day or two, or it goes bad. Just been my experience. Also, if you find something you like there, i.e., salad dressing, mustard, etc., purchase more than one because it may not be there the next time you go into the store or it may be gone forever.
Thanks for the warning and the tip, Renee! Good to know!
I too am reconsidering my shopping at Aldi right now… Here in Midwest, the produce is still competitively priced compared to Target, Walmart or especially Hyvee but I noticed lot of other items went up significantly. Orange juice (I buy the not from concentrate) that was $2.29 in December went up to $2.99, so I told myself, well, there’s that orange shortage I was reading about. But then within like a week or too it goes up again to $3.49? That’s ridiculous as I don’t see that kind of increase (yet) with other stores… And I actually haven’t even seen it in weeks as the shelves with orange juice are almost always empty. Organic milk, deli meats, bakery items and so on are also more expensive… It kind of makes me sad as I really like shopping there and always loved how much cheaper they were.
We do love their seasonal items and the limited time “here today, gone tomorrow” stuff and their European chocolates are the best.
