When I first started using this site along with many others, I used to find deals, freebies and great sales. I am so disappointed that it has become literally an Amazon ad and sponsored posts of things “the team loves” which in turn is just free stuff you guys get in addition to money to say how great these items are. I get it has turned into more of a following blog than click on this deal and save but come on… I’d love to see a team member opening a free box and telling us how it didn’t live up to the hype. But then I guess you couldn’t use your “exclusive promo codes”. To each his own. People are persuaded to buy the stuff they gift you. I skip that stuff typically and click on items I’m interested in anyway.
Same here. I usually skip the “deals” that say “team favorite” because I know someone is getting paid to promote those items and how do I really know it’s a good product worth purchasing anyway when there was an incentive to promote it. I just skip it. I still like coming on this website to check out deals and see
If there’s anything up my ally. To each there own 🙂
Thanks so much for your feedback both GretaM and SilverRose72. It’s very important to us and we want you to know how much it means to us. A lot of us who work at Hip2Save (over 40 of us) own LOTS of the products called “team faves” – in fact, that’s why we came up with that tag because so many of us do love and own the products that we buy with our own money. BUT, we are not minimizing anything you are saying and would love you to read this post that addresses your concerns: https://hip2save.com/is-hip2save-legit/ You are valuable and we’d hate to lose you here at Hip2Save.💖💖
I agree with you.
I’ve also been disappointed when I noticed one of my ‘negative’ comments of a sponsored post had been deleted. The post was about the $99 Great Wolf Lodge stay. I commented something about how there was the cost of the room ($99) but also the unexpected $100+ fee of additional services that was tacked on at checkout.
I question if my comment was deleted because hip2save didn’t want me to draw attention to that big hidden fee and therefore lose clicks and money. I truly hope it was accidentally removed, but if not please choose to keep innocent, truthful comments up in the future. Thank you.
Hey Laura, we try to rarely delete comments as we love our community and reader feedback, even if negative. We thought leaving old comments would make it confusing when posting a new deal on existing posts, but we listened to you all and recently changed that to leave comments if the deal is still valid.
Thank you for your response.
The post was originally from early spring 2020, but has resurfaced multiple times since then. I commented on it within this last month and it was removed sometime that same week. I saw another poster said their comment from the same post had also been deleted.
Know that I do appreciate your gesture going forward to keep all the comments. I always like seeing other readers experiences and tips. 😊
It’s probably because readers like me asked for really old comments to be deleted. I hate reading things like, “Oh, you can get it here cheaper!” Only to discover that the comment was from 2019 and the store has gone out of business or doesn’t even carry the item anymore or the price is no longer accurate. Scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll to the bottom to find relevant comments for 2022. Just like yours may have been accurate in 2020, but that was 2 years ago; it may not be relevant anymore. Who knows? Places change policies. 🤷🏼♀️
The prices on the items actually doesn’t look too bad. Some actually are pretty good, but too bad it’s hard to know where to send items to especially for those who will be new students in the fall as some of them have either just heard back from colleges or are hearing back from colleges and so will have to still figure out their housing. My niece is one of those as well as a daughter of a friend. Too bad as they would have made great gifts especially since they will likely be out of state. Seems like a great option though for those that are upperclassmen who already know or have their apartments set and/or those starting their careers and moving into their own first apartment 🙂
Don’t bother purchasing dorm bedding from this companey. The sheets, towls, comforters (everything) is cheaply made, thin and not a bargain. We ended sending everything back.
So far a terrible experience with this company. A week passed after my order was placed with no shipping confirmation e-mail. Finally, after following up with them it turns out 5 out of the 8 items I ordered are out of stock. They will also not ship the 3 items they do have since they “do not do” partial shipments.
