Oculus Quest 2 VR System in display

The Oculus Quest 2 is one of the most advanced and immersive ways to experience gaming. You can play and experience various adventures while casting what you see on your devices so your friends can experience it with you!

On the fence? Here are some awesome reviews…

I bought this for my grandson. He just loves the Oculus Quest ll. He has been asking for this for a while. I am so happy that I was able to make him happy. He even had me put this on so I could see what he was seeing. I was very impressed with what I saw!

I have owned my share of gaming systems. This is the first time I’ve ventured off into the VR world. I’m glad to have also waited for the Oculus Quest 2 to have relaunched with higher storage. While there aren’t as many games as I’d like, and many of the games are shorter than average, it’s still incredible the type of immersive worlds that have been created for this system. I look forward to the evolution of this system and its games. I have definitely become a fan for life.

This is so fun and you burn so many calories playing. I love Vader’s dojo. It feels so real. I have played for hours straight and I am an out of shape, middle-aged woman. This is great exercise. I do, however, think it is very weird that you need to connect this to a Facebook account.

Thanks Hip2save for posting! A VR headset is the one thing my 12 year old is asking for Christmas, but I feel like a dinosaur, so please help me out here: 1. What else do I need to buy for a VR headset? 2. Has anyone have positive experiences with a cheaper brand/model? 3. Is it really worth the hype? Thank you in advance for any feedback!

You literally wrote exactly the same questions I have. Can I follow this post…?

My 14 & 10 year olds have been saving their own money to buy the Oculus 2 256 GB ($399 one). They told me it was the best one you can buy, but I went ahead & researched & asked around, & apparently it is one of the best out there. It does require a Facebook account to work, but the parents of kids who have them that I have spoke with just made a dummy account just for use with the Oculus. Once you buy it, it’s like a regular gaming system & you have to buy games to go with it. There are some free games, but most are $10-$40. This is also just like buying a gaming system in that it never goes on sale, you just see offers like this where you get a gift card with purchase (& this is the best deal I’ve seen). As far as accessories to go with it, there’s not too much else for this one, a case, & I think an add on battery pack for longer gaming sessions. I saw this deal a few days ago & told my boys. They’ve been saving every dime they’ve been given, birthday money, money from doing small odd jobs, etc… & they were about $30 away from having enough with what the total would be after my red card discount & the gift card so I’m loaning them the rest & they can just pay me back, that way they could get in on this rare savings. They went to bed so excited last night & hoping I’d be able to get it ordered before it sold out. This momma is tired this morning but I was able to get it ordered at 2am when the deal finally dropped on the website.

My 13 year old also has this on his list. Other accessories i am purchasing are a carrying case, and the elite strap for a more comfortable fit. I am debating the battery pack for extended play time. I kind of like the idea that the battery will die quick n it will need recharging often so he cant spend too much time on it, since i have heard others complain about headaches from too much play. Other than a bigger memory occulus that is more expensive there really isn’t anything else lower cost out there. Hope this helps

We’ve had an Oculus Quest 2 for a year. You only need to buy the games to go with the headset. Accessories are sold. However, the accessories aren’t necessary.

We’ve had one for a year and my kids still consistently play with it. The graphics are amazing…you literally feel like you’re in a different environment. You can cast to the TV so other people can watch you. We always bring it out when we have friends over…now they all want one. Also, it’s not just for kids. I have workouts on there and boxing games that make it really fun to workout. You can even watch Netflix and movies…and it looks like you’re inside a movie theater. You will not regret it!

Where can someone purchase gift cards? I cannot find them anywhere!!

    • Lori

Target, drug stores, amazon, Walgreens, Etc. What kind of gift card are you looking for?

  3. dulce-0

Gamestop also has the same gift card offer. It came out to be a better deal for me there because i already have a gift card and 15 dollars in points for purchasing the ps5 a couple of months ago.

Target is on it! I ordered my boys Oculus 2 at 2:00 am this morning (I told them they owed me for staying up to order it to save them money 🤣) 8 hours & 40 minutes later & I got a notification that it has already shipped! 📦 🚐 📫

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      LOL! That’s great to hear!

  8. heather_03

Woohoo I got it for this price at Best Buy with a $50 giftcard as well, plus I had a 10% off coupon for my card anniversary!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Nice score! 🙌

  9. mindi

Just in case anyone purchased an Oculus 2 before knowing this deal was coming, I hopped on target chat and they’re giving me a $50 gift card even though I purchased a couple weeks ago. 🙂

    • Rachel

I chatted with them last week and they told me they would not honor the price match since it is a gift card. 🙁 I also purchased it a few weeks ago! I just ordered another one and will return my original purchase. It’s annoying but worth it for $50 savings. I’m glad it worked out for you but wanted to post to let others know that it may not work for them.

If anyone is military, the PX will have The same gift card deal for their Black Friday sale. They ran it for Veterans Day, too, I grabbed it then. Shopping their saves you tax, too!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Thanks for sharing, Leah!
