I’m sure vacuum compression bags take a wee bit more air out, and with much less energy. They were what we were originally going to buy. But then we realized – we needed more space in our suitcase – not our storage. Even if we compress prior to leaving, how would we guarantee a vacuum when we were headed back home? So we bought these.
There’s an awful lot you can pack with 12 of these babies, and I ended up packing less because I was so amazed that I fit most of what I wanted in a carry-on as opposed to the max-size luggage.
Wow, I have used these bags several times now and they work great every time. They are especially useful when you have limited space on a trip, such as packing a week of clothing on a motorcycle! I have also packed them empty on vacations and used them on the return trip so I had space in my luggage for all the things I bought.
