Have you heard of Muscat Grapes? Well, we hadn’t! First of all, they’re HUGE! They are very sweet, delicious, and not sour at all. These are definitely a two-bite (or more) kind of grape, so you’re getting a lot more fruit than it may seem!
Would you give these grapes a try? Let us know in the comments!
I have had them. They are amazing!!!!!
I think I’m going to have to try them!
Chemically engineered, no thanks!
Too expensive!
These grapes are treated with high amounts of plant growth regulators to achieve the large berry size. She also forgot to mention that these grapes have hard seeds!!! These are not green seedless grapes!!! I know, I am a California grape grower.
Hi George! Shine Muscat grapes are typically seedless, that’s one of the reasons they’re so popular (crisp texture, very sweet, edible skin, and usually no seeds to deal with).
Very occasionally you might find a tiny soft seed in some imported batches, but they’re generally sold as seedless. I did double check with Stephanie and she did not notice any seeds in her pack. Hope this helps! 🥰
You are incorrect. Shine Muscat is green seeded grape, but when treat with gibberellic acid (GA3), a plant growth regulator at bloom, it induces seedless berry. This spray is not 100 percent, that is why you have shine muscat grapes in the market place with hard seeds.
That is the reason Costco does not offer them as green seedless grapes, just Shine Muscat. Costco is receiving many returns at store level due to fact people assume green grapes have no seeds.
