Did you know that Staples rewards you for recycling? Right now, Easy Rewards members who recycle can score an offer for $10 off a $30+ purchase! This offer is available in-store only.

Not an Easy Rewards member? The loyalty program is FREE to join! Sign up to receive 1 reward point per $1 spent plus double points on categories you tend to shop the most and you’ll get $25 in savings every 5,000 points you rack up.

There are often special offers to help you accrue points faster. Plus, you’ll also get rewarded every time you recycle at Staples! To recycle an item, simply bring it up to the cashier and they will process your reward.

Other Staples Recycling Program rewards you can receive include:

  • Receive 1,000 points when you recycle tech or batteries for the first time. Valid once per account.
  • Score 500 points when you recycle tech or batteries. Valid once per month.
  • Get extra points when you recycle toner or ink.
  • Snag 25% off all Logitech products when you recycle at Staples. Valid in-store through October 27th. Limit 2.
  • Get $30 extra off a new printer when you recycle your old one. Valid in-store only through June 29th. Limit 1.
  • Receive 25% off batteries when you recycle batteries at Staples. Valid in-store only through September 14th. Limit 1.

What items can you recycle at Staples?

  • Tech Items: Headphones, fax machines, computers, laptops, tablets, laminators, calculators, video cameras, shredders, scanners, webcams, monitors, cables, GPS devices, flash drives, smart watches, and more!
  • Batteries: Rechargeable and single-use batteries.
  • School Supplies: Crayons, markers, folders, glue sticks, rulers, backpacks, and more! Sometimes crayons are recreated and gifted to children’s hospitals!
  • Other Items: Luggage, Sodastream cartridges, paper shredding, and more! See the full list of accepted items.

What items can you not recycle at Staples?

There are a few items Staples will not accept for recycling including air conditioners, large appliances, large electronics, scissors or blades, smoke detectors, televisions, vaporizers, and more. See the full list of exclusions.
