Our Hip Sidekick, Angela, and reviewers are loving these…

I take this brand of D3 & K2 every single day! There are so many added benefits, and it’s very important that you get your D3 & K2 in together, and this pill contains both. I also like that it is third party tested and easy to swallow! Hip Sidekick, Angela

I have struggled with vitamin D deficiency for 30 years. My numbers have always been in low teens. Nothing we did worked. When I saw these on TikTok, I thought, what do I have to lose? I just had blood work done since taking these and my numbers were normal. So happy I found this product!

After taking this for approximately three weeks, I have noticed less craving for sweets (which is a huge change for me) and the afternoon blahs have drastically diminished.

Hi this question is for sidekick Angela… you mentioned using this same brand of these same vitamins, do you also take the same increments?

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hey there! I checked with Angela, and here’s what she shared with me: “Yes! I’ve been taking it since April. There is a lower dose at 5,000 iu but I take the same 10,000iu that we have in the post. One each day.” Hope this helps! 🤗

It honestly depends where you live. Myself and others I know in Michigan regularly take between 4,000 -10,000 ius daily or 50,000 ius weekly in the winter. Vitamin D toxicity is extremely rare

This amount is very high to take for a long period of time. Get it checked often as this much can be toxic. I started out with 5,000 IU and after 6 months my Dr. cut the dose to 2,000 day, now I only take 1,000 day, and have for 3 years.

Lots of things factor into the correct dose of Vitamin D. As folks age the ability to manufacture Vitamin D on your own through your skin greatly decreases. The stomach is involved so some folks and in particular older people lose the ability to absorb Vitamin D through pills. There are some very common prescription drugs that will decrease your Vitamin D levels . There are other prescription drugs that should not be taken with Vitamin D as there is the possibility of increasing your blood calcium levels dangerously. All that being said everyone should insist on knowing your vitamin D levels. It is a cheap easy blood test. People with higher D levels survive serious illness better and have less cognitive decline. Osteoporosis is a terrible disease as well. Both my parents died of complications of hip fractures. It is a terrible way to go. After testing if you are low insist on seeing an endocrinologist who specializes in that problem and follow that advice. The vast vast majority of folks are going to fall into the too low category. I’m on the extreme of taking massive doses of Vitamin D because I have absorbency issues. A fair amount of folks will fall into that category as well. But you need a doctor to say so. Insist on knowing your levels and don’t accept—everyone is low on Vitamin D—I’ve heard that one several times from physicians. Get tested. Know what the levels mean. Insist on treatment. Monitor your levels throughout your life.
