As a service dog handler myself, I knew I had to get this Barbie! She is absolutely gorgeous.
One downside however is it isn’t entirely realistic. First of all, a service dog handler wouldn’t really use a retractable leash, especially while using a wheelchair- we typically use hands-free leashes and the retractable leash makes play sort of difficult. I also had the retractable leash break so now I just act like the dog is off leash and find that more enjoyable and honestly more realistic.
Would recommend this toy for ANY child to teach service dog etiquette and respect. Every kid needs this!!

We bought a few of the original Barbie friends that were in a wheelchair ( I think she was a photographer) . We donated them to the local Children’s Specialized Hospital. They were a big hit and so appreciative
