Easy DIY Gift: Make This Gorgeous Slow Cooker Gift Basket
Need a FUN & practical gift idea?
One of the best gifts I have EVER received is my slow cooker! It has been used for MANY years and has always helped my meal planning (and saved me money since I cook more at home). I think many can agree they’re a MUST for every kitchen.
A slow cooker can also make a great gift for many occasions including weddings, birthdays, Christmas, graduations, etc. Today I’m sharing how to gift a slow cooker in the cutest way – as an easy, unique slow cooker gift basket!
Grab some slow cooking related smaller items!
I had fun browsing stores like Target, Walmart, and TJ Maxx looking for goodies to put in my slow cooker gift basket. These items can be found at every price point (so check out Dollar Tree too as they have great kitchen finds). My favorite fillers were these “Hot Stuff” soup mugs, available in-store at Walmart, a Threshold kitchen towel, a Magnolia Hearth & Home hand towel, and Cravings by Chrissy Teigen kitchen tools!
Slow Cooker Gift Basket

- Soup Mug
- Kitchen Towels
- Hand Towels
- Kitchen Utensils & Gadgets (I used Cravings by Chrissy Teigen)
- Cooking Spices
- Oven Mitts
- Meat Shredder Claws
- Slow Cooker Recipe Book

Directions
1
Remove the slow cooker lid and lay towels in the slow cooker, leaving the kitchen towels partially out for decoration.
2
Arrange each filler item inside the slow cooker to create a cute gift basket.
3
Lean the slow cooker lid on the back, wrap with cellophane to hold it in place.
4
You’ll need a few layers of clear cellophane to completely wrap.
5
Gather wrapping at the top and add a bow.
The size of this gift basket might mean you’ll need a few layers of clear cellophane to completely wrap. It’s such an EASY and doable idea that’ll really WOW your recipient!
Unique, yet easy gift!
I love when creative ideas like this are actually simple to create! What a great gift! I think this slow cooking theme would also make a nice gift basket for PTA raffles and charity events, too! You can even put together a similar gift basket idea using an Instant Pot pressure cooker instead if desired. Fun!
This is such a great gift idea. My mother in law did this for us a few years ago and I loved it! On a side note, I want to say how wonderful crockpot’s customer service is. I was just on their website today looking for a replacement lid. My handle broke and I wasn’t exactly sure which to order. I used the chat and she said they didn’t have parts for that exact model so she would send a one time complementary replacement of a whole system similar in style. What?! Wow! I was ready to pay the $10 for a replacement lid but they went above and beyond! I can’t ask for more and will for sure make this the only brand to buy in the future when I need another! Just wanted to share my “hip” news! I know my fellow hipsters will be more excited than my husband was lol 😉
I love when companies have great customer service; thanks for sharing! (Your husband sounds like mine- he doesn’t get excited about great deals!!)
Wow! That is so awesome. Thanks for sharing a great customer service story. 👍
That’s not my experience at all. I contacted Crock Pot because I wiped my stainless steel crockpot with a damp cloth and the the settings literally wiped off. It was so bizarre that I figured it was an issue they were aware of and had a solution for (I mean, if I had a Cricut, I could *make* vinyl decals!). As soon as they determined my Crock Pot was no longer under warranty, they wanted nothing to do with me.
Oh no. That’s frustrating. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I do this idea every year for our family Christmas Ugly Sweater Gift Exchange Game. I always feel weird cutting the UPC off the bottom of the box for the mail in rebate to gift to someone else. This way I take the item out of the box and wrap it in a gift bag with other items and no one knows I spent less than $10 on the actually appliance! I do the griddle with pancake mix, spatula, and potholders etc. Always looks more expensive than I actually paid! So easy to throw together too!
Wow!! I agree. I love that idea for the griddle. How fun – thanks for sharing ❤️
I love this!!! I make gift baskets for everyone at Christmas and this will be perfect for my little elderly neighbor who still loves to cook. And because she LOVES Aldi, I’ll tuck an Aldi gift card inside. Thanks so much for the terrific idea!! 💕
Oh that is so sweet! I love that idea Adrienne. Thanks for sharing 🙌
Wow this is great ideas for the holidays I can’t wait to make my own
Perfect! Thanks Heidi!
Love this! Where do you get the cellophane from?
Thanks so much! I bought some from amazon a couple years ago and it’s lasted me a long time! ha – You can pick it up near the gift wrap section in most stores however.
