Amazon Prime Settlement Refunds Are Hitting Accounts Now – Check Your Email
You may be entitled to a refund from an Amazon settlement.

Through December 24th, keep an eye on your Amazon account and email because refunds of up to $51 are now being issued as part of a $2.5 billion settlement.
Who qualifies?
Customers who tried to cancel Prime between June 23, 2019, and June 23, 2025, or who signed up through one of Amazon’s disputed signup flows and have used four or fewer Prime benefits (like, fast and free shipping, access to entertainment platforms like Prime Video and Music, discounts on groceries and fuel, and tools like free photo storage and the Amazon Pharmacy savings program).
How do you know if you are getting a refund?
Eligible Prime customers will receive instructions directly from Amazon by email or through their account. Customers must accept their refund within 15 days of receiving the notice.
What is the lawsuit about?
The lawsuit claims Amazon tricked users into unintentionally signing up for Prime and made canceling overly difficult. Amazon agreed to the $2.5 billion settlement ($1 billion in penalties and $1.5 billion in customer payouts) and to overhaul its Prime signup and cancellation processes.
More information about the claims process will be communicated directly from Amazon. You can also bookmark this post, where we will continue to share all the latest information on the claims process as we receive official updates!
