Check Your Freezer! 58 MILLION Pounds of Corn Dogs & Sausages Have Been Recalled
Here’s everything you need to know about the Hillshire Brands recall!

Attention, snack lovers! Hillshire Brands just announced a massive recall on State Fair Corn Dogs and Jimmy Dean Sausage-on-a-Stick products because some may contain pieces of wood baked right into the batter. Yikes!
Here’s what you need to know…
Affected products: Made between March 17th and Sept 26th, 2025
Packaging codes: Look for EST-582 or P-894
Where they went: Pretty much everywhere — retail stores, online, food service, even schools (though not the USDA school lunch program), and Department of Defense facilities.
Why it matters: So far, there have been multiple complaints and 5 injuries reported.
What to do: If you’ve got these in your freezer, don’t eat them — toss them or take them back to the store for a refund.
👉 You can check the full product list here and see the labels here. FSIS will also be updating with store distribution lists on their recall site.

For questions, call Hillshire’s customer care line at 888-747-7611 or the USDA’s Meat & Poultry Hotline at 888-674-6854.
