You’re not going to believe your eyes! 🤩

We tested the viral tights that look like real skin and help you stay warm in every outfit this winter. These fake translucent fleece-lined tights are game-changing! 🙌🏼

Have you heard of Belle at the Ball’s fake translucent fleece tights?

Belle at the Ball HeatTech Translucent Leggings $25.99 (regularly $54.99)

First-class shipping is $5.95

When I first saw these fake translucent fleece tights on TikTok I knew I needed to give them a try! What makes them so unique and unlike any other pair of tights is the fact they look like your skin peeking through the outside. But they’re actually warm and lined with thick, cozy fleece on the inside! 🤯

As you can see, it looks like my real skin under black tights, but what anyone looking at them doesn’t know is that they’re actually the most genius wardrobe hack ever! 😍

As a bonus, I also found them to be lifting in the back and thinning everywhere else despite the wide range of sizing. 🙌🏼 I also really love that thick waistband that makes them feel very secure.

Even when bending my legs, they look super deceiving! 😱 Plus, I cannot get over how soft they feel inside – they’re like a cozy cashmere sweater! I’m someone who is always cold, but when wearing these I feel no air making its way through. I’m warm from the time I put them on to the time I take them off.

I even sent a few pictures of me wearing these tights to my best friend to give these the real test on whether they look legit or not. After all, she’s always blatantly honest so if anyone was going to tell me these didn’t look legit, it’d be her. 😆

However, I’m pleased to share that the fleece-lined tights even passed the best friend test (just as I knew they would). 👏🏻 In fact, neither of us could get over how real they looked and agree they’re so innovative!

A wardrobe hack like this means the outfit possibilities in winter are endless. 🤩

There are many fleece tights on the market, but some of the other unique features that set this particular pair apart are that they come in two different sizes (XS-M and L-XL), a few different colors, two different heat levels, and the ability to choose full feet (like mine) or open feet.

The only downside to these tights is that the shipping takes about two to two and a half weeks which is definitely higher than the normal rate if you were ordering on other big retail websites. However, after comparing a bunch on the web and personally owning these, I have to say they’re worth the wait! 😍

Belle at the Ball also has fantastic customer service!

Unfortunately, I noticed a snag on my first pair of fake translucent fleece tights so I reached out to their customer service for a replacement. They happily issued a new pair almost immediately. The only difficult part was waiting another 2.5 weeks to get my second pair. But again…they were worth the wait! 🤩

“These fit well and look sheer but are actually warm! I was excited to show everyone that they were actually lined with fleece because I wore them to an outdoor wedding. I weigh 125 pounds and am 5’6″ and the size medium fits well.” Amazon Reviewer

Aren’t they clever?!? Why hasn’t anyone ever thought of that before? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Sarah, how do they feel? Like they’d be easy to get a run in or like your finger through? They’re pricey if they are fragile and can tear/run like regular stockings or tights.

    • Sara (Hip Sidekick)

Hey, CJ! I haven’t got a run in them, but the outside does feel similar to regular tights so I would imagine you’d want to act as if you’re wearing traditional ones. 🙂

      • CJ

        Thanks! I think I’ll get a pair!

        • Sara (Hip Sidekick)

Awesome! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

Temu has these even cheaper usually. Temu is one of my new favorites and new shoppers save so much. So fast too.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for sharing where you’ve spotted them, Jessica! Good to know! ❤️

    • riss

Yes! Temu is great. Fast shipping. Prices are cheap with discounts. The only thing is the item description is not enough, at least for me. And the reviews for an item are all over the place. Meaning the seller’s other items are mixed in with the reviews of the particular item you’re looking to purchase. That said, I returned a blouse that was too small for me, and it says on the return instructions that there’s “no need to return it. Feel free to give it away or donate it” and refund is on the way. 👍

Interestingly enough, I have a child with EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) which is a rare disease of the connective tissue all over the body and with a disease like that, you can actually pull the skin out like that. So when I saw it that was the first think I thought of, how it looks just like my kid’s skin! (Google it, it’s interesting for sure and yet so little is known by the medical field about it – yet the poor kid is in pain 24/7!)

    • Sara (Hip Sidekick)

WOW, CJ! I am so sorry your kiddo lives with such a painful disease. Sending a big hug your way!

    • SoCalLemon

I was just diagnosed with this, but the lesser version (hypermobile). I just came to say hi because it’s a rare community and also to share a couple things with you in case you need any additional info: 1. Compression clothing is a big win! 2. youtube has a wonderful lady for exercise, Jeannie Di Bon. 3. Here is a wonderful article that really helped me and might offer a bit more guidance http://www.dynainc.org/docs/hypermobility.pdf. Best of luck to your kiddo – this is not a fun world, but knowledge is key!!

      • CJ

Thank you for taking the time to respond. It’s not an easy thing to deal with and since they sublux constantly everything always hurts and almost never stops. I got compressions socks because of POTS (and MCAS – the “terrible trifecta”), but I’ve never gotten any other compression stuff (what do you recommend? I’ll have to see if they make something for hips that are constantly popping out of joint…maybe spanks would work 🤣) Thanks for the link, great article. It might help our parents to understand. Best of luck to you as you research it and learn more about it and find support in others! ❤️

        • CJ

Sorry, my phone said it didn’t post when I was on the train, so after I got to work I rewrote it only to post it and they both showed up! 🤦🏼‍♀️

      • CJ

Thank you so much for taking the come to comment. My kid also has the hEDS subtype. The dr said that it is just a severe case of it and subluxations happen all day long so the pain of popping hips back in over and over is really bad. I have bought compression socks (mostly bc of the POTS that goes along with it – and also included in the diagnosis is MCAS, as the dr calls it “the terrible trifecta” 😔) but I haven’t gotten them any other compression garments. I need to find something for the hips especially…maybe spanx – I always feel completely compressed wearing them, and nothing could pop out of anything with them on!!! 🤣). Thanks for the link, great info that I will pass along to my parents who are still trying to figure it out. Best of luck to you in learning about it and living more comfortably with it! Thanks again for sharing! ❤️

    • shelleybeaches

Hi, that’s a rough one. It runs in my family. I’ll share some things that have helped. 1) warmth. Heating pads, baths, fleece. (You can even get wireless heating pads.) Keeping warm will ease the pain – joints don’t hurt as much when they sublux, and after a pop out, it’s easier to pop the back in. 2) weight training. Especially shoulder and hip exercises. Strong muscles at the joints will reduce flexibility. Also, it tightens the skin which helps with the skin pain. 3) low salt. Anything that causes edema, causes pain. Hope any of this helps.

  4. Lindsay

WHAT?! This is genius!! I didn’t know something like this existed!

    • Sara (Hip Sidekick)

So genius, right?!! I hope you love them, Lindsay!

  5. Kelley

What heat level did you get? I want to get level 2 (because it’s cold here!) but I’m afraid they will look more fake. If you got leave 1, do you think they are warm enough?

    • Sara (Hip Sidekick)

Hey Kelley! I actually didn’t realize there were different heat levels until after I ordered mine. LOL! I have the heat level 1 and can’t feel any air through them while walking around the house. Right now it’s pretty cold where I live and I am comfortable wearing them in 30-degree weather. I would be curious to know the difference between the two heat levels though and don’t find the level 1 to look fake at all so I’d be willing to bet you can’t go wrong with either!

  6. angela

what is this magic?! This is genius! I wanted to wear a cute winter/sweatshirt dress to Disneyland this month but it didn’t look good with regular leggings. This is perfect – looking forward to trying it. Thank you!

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

You’re so welcome, angela! Hoping you love them too! Have a great Disney visit! 🤗❤️

  7. Marinova

Personally I think most dresses and skirts look just fine with regular leggings underneath. All this seems to do is make the outfit less modest. 🤷‍♀️

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for taking a moment to share about the style you prefer, Marinova! 💕

  8. Katie Doig

Or just go on SHEIN and get them for 8 always

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for mentioning that option, Katie! We do have that listed in the post at the bottom as an option. 🤗💕

    • Melanie

I bought some off shein, I’m not sure if it’s the exact one listed but there was something weird with the feet that make them quite uncomfortable to wear as it pulled my foot upwards. I will have to try cutting off the feet as they are not returnable or buy one of these listed

  9. jacky

was it true to size or did you size up?

    • Sara (Hip Sidekick)

Hey, Jacky! I’m wearing their “Size 1 (XS-M)”. I typically wear a women’s size 0 so I find these to be very true to size. In my opinion, there’s plenty of stretch left in them to fit up to a size medium and they still feel snug on me despite being at the lower end of the size range. I hope this helps!

  10. TS

    HEADS UP!!
I “quickly” ordered a pair of these as soon as I saw the post. Well, in my haste, I ordered the wrong size! I selected my color choice unbeknownst to me that the size was on the same line as the color. It wasn’t until I confirmed my order that I realized I didn’t select the size…tried in vain immediately to stop my order, but they didn’t respond for days, and of course by then, the “order had been processed”…I just received them and they are not going to work.
In order to get a refund, I have to send them back to China….on my dime…I’ve checked shipping options and it’s over $28.00 to return them!!! That should be made clear when you order these that you will have to pay for the return…
Anyhow…If anyone reading this wants a size XS-M….reach out, I’ll sell mine at a discount to you as it’s not worth the $$ to return to China, but would love to see someone have these..

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

So sorry to hear about your order experience, TS! Hoping you’re able to snag a new pair in your preferred size! ❤️
