Let’s talk about cutting boards for a minute!

Cutting boards are an important kitchen tool, especially if you cook a lot as I do. They can be made from different materials such as wood, glass, and plastic. I tend to have a few options that I rotate between, but have recently found a new favorite!

This oversized 16 x 11 Gorilla Grip brand cutting board has quickly become my go-to cutting board for a couple of key reasons. The coating on the handles holds the board in place when cutting food, and it’s so easy to take care of compared to wood.

Gorilla cutting board in the dishwasher

I can just rinse my cutting board easily, or throw it in the dishwasher. I like that the size fits perfectly in my dishwasher, too. So far nothing has stained it and it’s really been a great purchase at an affordable price point — around $13 via Amazon.com

And it seems like I’m not alone in liking this cutting board because it’s highly rated on Amazon with lots of great reviews!

Keep in mind that I purchased this cutting board myself and have raved about it so much to family and friends that I thought I’d also share here with you all. I personally love helpful product reviews and recommendations. This is not a sponsored post.

Reasons to love Gorilla Grip cutting boards:

    • The durable coating on the handles helps board stay put when cutting.
    • It’s easy to wash, dishwasher safe, and made with a super high-quality BPA-free material.
    • The edge around the perimeter catches and keeps juices on the board.
    • It comes with a lifetime warranty.
    • Low maintenance! There’s no having to oil the surface as I do with wood cutting boards.

Any recommendation for good wooden cutting board?

    • Kathleen

I like bamboo, they last so long!

    • Wren

I bought a wood set from Costco that I’m really happy with, and wood is definitely preferable if you care about your knives 😜.

Thank you! I decided to get the 3 piece set which was $15.99 for the black and white set.

I’ve given up on cutting boards with silicone. They always dry rot. I found a small cutting board at Dollar Tree that I really like without silicone.

Do not put this on the bottom of the dishwasher as shown, it will warp. Also, the silicone will eventually dry rot.

And with wooden boards. Don’t put them in the dishwasher.
