So chaga mushroom coffee is really a thing?
It absolutely is. But don’t worry, you wouldn’t even know that’s what you’re drinking when you mix up a Renude Chagaccino! There’s no chalky, earthy flavor like you would expect from chaga mushroom coffee, thank goodness. 😋 It just tastes like a slightly sweet, warm, delicious cinnamon cappuccino.
I know it sounds weird to the uninitiated because it definitely was to me, but it looks like mushroom coffee is a trend that’s here to stay!
But why would I want to drink it?
That’s where the health benefits of chaga mushrooms come into play! These mysterious little fungi, in particular, have a long history of medicinal use.
Some of the potential benefits of Chaga include:
- Boosting immunity & reducing inflammation. Some studies have shown that Chaga mushrooms can stimulate white blood cells and assist them in fighting off infections.
- Promoting a healthy gut biome. A healthy digestive system makes all the difference in how we feel, and studies have demonstrated that chaga mushrooms can help create the perfect environment for those good microbes to flourish!
- Reducing cholesterol levels. We don’t have enough evidence to 100% confirm that Chaga has the ability to lower cholesterol, but some studies have shown that it definitely has potential.
Even though chaga mushrooms have been used in health tinctures and alternative medicine for centuries all over the world, scientists are still discovering and testing their health-boosting properties!
Luckily, everyone can enjoy those health benefits since Renude’s Chagaccinos can fit in almost every diet and lifestyle.
Whether you’re keto, paleo, vegan, gluten-free, or none of the above, you can easily add Chagaccinos into your daily routine. That’s because they’re made with very few ingredients, and all of them are the best possible quality. 🙌
Each Chagaccino packet contains wild-foraged chaga, organic Peruvian cacao, organic Ceylon cinnamon, and monk fruit. That’s it!
Zero calories with no added sugars or mystery ingredients? Yes please, I’ll take another cup of that!
Here’s the simple way I’ve been making + enjoying my chaga mushroom coffee in the morning.
I like to keep my coffee as low-maintenance as possible when I’m half asleep, and I’m sure the early risers are with me on that. 😉 Luckily, all ya need to make a delicious Chagaccino is a coffee or espresso maker, your favorite type of milk, and one of Renude’s Chagaccino packets.
First up, brew up your coffee.
You can stick with a pour-over coffee maker like the Chemex brewer I used, but drip coffee and espresso are just as good. I know Collin loves her Breville Espresso maker, so pouring a shot over ice for a cold Chagaccino would be yummy as well!
Although I love making hot coffee using Chagaccino, I enjoy a nice iced beverage on these warmer days, so I’ve been keeping my chaga coffee iced. In fact, I think I like it even better over ice so if you’ve tried it both ways, I’d love to know what you think!
Next, blend your Chagaccino packet mix into your coffee.
For hot coffee, I typically froth my milk first then pour coffee in. For iced coffee, I actually add the Chagaccino first then froth the coffee to combine the flavor directly.
I use Zulay milk frother to make everything nice and foamy. You can skip this step if you don’t have a milk frother, but trust me, whether you’re frothing milk or coffee, it really takes a Chagaccino to the next level.
Hip Tip: When you purchase a Renude Chagaccino Gift Box, you’ll get a milk frother included in the package! 🙌
Then, just pour your milk into the frothed coffee and enjoy!
Unsweetened almond milk is my favorite since I think it really compliments the subtle cinnamon flavor, and sometimes I’ll toss in a splash of half and half to thicken it up as well. A little steamed heavy cream also makes it super rich and smooth!
It could be a placebo effect, but I do honestly feel great on the days I have them! I’m someone whose mind can get very scattered through my day managing loads of projects and tasks, but when I have a Chagaccino in the morning, I feel like I’m much more focused.
Chagaccinos are a fun & healthy way to change up my morning coffee, and they end up being even cheaper than a trip to Starbucks!
Each packet comes out to about $3 (even less with our current promo code!) which, let’s be honest, is cheaper than the vast majority of the ‘Bucks menu. 😆 Plus, you’ll be able to customize it exactly how you like & enjoy those health benefits while you’re at it!
So WTF = what the Fungus right? đ
âŹď¸ comment of the year. đ
Lol đ
đđ¤Łđ I second kgâs response lol
HmmmâŚdoes it have a taste like coffee? If so, Iâm out. I hate the taste of coffee. I love tea though. My DH gifted me a tea box subscription to sample different varieties of tea. I enjoyed most flavorsâŚexcept the ones that tried to taste like coffee! I just said âŚWHY? If I wanted my tea to taste like coffee, I would just drink coffeeâŚLOL! Anyway Iâm curious if itâs more coffee like in flavor or tea?
Hi there Ella! It actually tastes more like sweetened cinnamon — the coffee flavor only comes from the coffee added. You could likely add the Chagaccino packet to some hot or steamed milk, and then combine with chai tea for more of a chaga-infused chai tea latte. Or I bet this would be amazing in some hot cocoa too. I haven’t tried either yet but just typing them out, I might give one a go right now! đ
So long story short, the Chagaccino mix has no coffee or coffee flavor â it’s monk fruit, cinnamon, cacao, and chaga powder. Hope that helps!
