  1. Nichole

Dollar store has the shampoo brush. I had already bought enough it from Amazon.

    • dealzgurl

Does the shampoo brush at Dollar Tree use batteries?

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks, Nichole! We are going to look for that! Great find!

  2. Trim

In beauty stores for African American hair they sell one of those scalp managers for 1.00 and it’s blue. It’s so amazing my best friend bought mine.

  3. Alma

I’ve found the scalp massager for $1 at several Dollar Tree stores in the Chicagoland area.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      Wow, thanks!

  4. Erin

Yup. I had that shampoo massager in my cart for months on Amazon but couldn’t pull the trigger. Then I found one at Dollar Tree. Glad I waited–it’s worth a dollar to me but not too much more. I also saw those mini razors at Dollar Tree but haven’t purchased. I’d rather pluck than shave.

    • Laura

You can get the little facial razors at Walmart, Target, Walgreens, etc…
Do try them though!! You’ve never felt your skin so smooth!! And your skincare products absorb much better afre using them, too!

  5. Emily NYC

The scalp massager is amazing! My hair growth has improved and it literally gets my hair salon type clean! Get one- i started giving them to everyone even used as baby shower favors!

  6. Happy Aunt

The shampoo massager could possibly double as a great tool for getting pet hair off furniture. I have a silicone Zoom Groom brush for my cat. I use it to pull hair off the furniture before vacuuming and get excellent results. It’s rarely used to actually brush the cat, lol!

  7. Bunny

Bought the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer on a previous Hip2Save deal and love it. Makes my hair come out looking like I’ve been to the salon 🙂

It’s also nice just using one tool. Before was always wrangling with a hair dryer and a large brush. My arms would always get tired. The One-Step Hair Dryer makes it so easy now. If you’re on the fence, would definitely go with this one!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Awesome, Bunny! Our team absolutely loves this and we are glad you do as well!

  8. chesca

I bought the scalp massager previously and granted its my opinion only but what a waste of money. I expected at least something from it. All it did was knot the heck out of my roots and frizz my hair like crazy. My hair is only shoulder length therefore i thought it would be ok. Thought wrong. I tossed it after 2 or 3 embarrassing hair days. 💆‍♀️

    • Elaine

You’re probably using it wrong. I use a shampoo/ scalp brush to prevent tangles. You have to be careful how you brush with it though.

  9. Susan

Nizoral dandruff shampoo is also amazing for the white patches people get on their skin (cheeks, hairline or temples) sometimes from a fungal infection. My husband used to work construction and would get it from being in the sun all day and sweating. A doctor recommended he put this on the affected areas and leave it for a couple of minutes before rinsing off. He did this a few times and it never came back.

  10. jen13289

Actually, after reading everything I could in brushes, the best brush I’ve found is the Dry Bar Lemon Drop, it’s the same price everywhere, a bit pricey at $20, but we have gone from over 90 minutes of brushing hair to 5-10 minutes, literally!!!! It’s absolutely AMAZING!!!!!

  11. kiera

The brush is good for people with scalp problems, really breaks up the buildup. I recommend it in combination with the nizoral for scalp dermatitis. The key is to part the hair in sections and hold the ends of each section while you massage to really get at the roots.

  12. JenK

I would not take anything for my One step Hair dryer. That has been the best hair appliance I have every bought. Also My 12 year old can blow dry her own hair with no help and it looks great. The Silicone brush has been a great buy also, I myself do not use it but my 12 year old was having issues getting her hair/scalp clean and this has been a great fix for that. Mrs. Meyers products are amazing! I use them daily, smell great and do an awesome job. Try the room spray and dish soap awesome products

  13. Candace

That shampoo brush is awesome! I was worried it would tangle my hair, but it has never been a problem. It’s such a pleasant massage. It helps lather the shampoo and also helps remove dandruff patches. Also, the Nizoral is the only dandruff shampoo that works for me. It took me waaayyy to long to realize that different dandruff shampoo has different active ingredients. I had to use T-gel and head and shoulders every day, but I only use the Nizoral once a week to control flaking and itch.

  14. Jessica

After I saw this I went to my dollar tree and they had one of those scalp brushes left in stock! I didn’t want to pay $7 so I’m excited to try it for $1!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Yay! You are a savvy shopper!

  15. Kat9919

I tried the healing Indian clay mask you guys wrote about awhile ago, and honestly it’s amazing! My skin has never been smoother. I was dealing with horrible mask breakout around my chin and mouth and this drew them all out and cleared it up! I know it’s not on your list here, but I would definitely recommend it! Thanks for the post!
