“I love Sam’s Club rotisserie chicken. Anytime I buy it somewhere else I’m always super disappointed with the regular grocery store one and realize they’re half the size and twice the cost!” – Callie, Hip2Save reader
4. One of the reader favorites at Sam’s Club is ground beef.
Member’s Mark 93%/7% Ground Beef $4.88 per lb.

5. Member’s Mark Organic Maple Syrup gives your breakfast tons of bang for your buck.
Member’s Mark Organic Maple Syrup 32oz $12.98 (41¢ per ounce)
If you won’t settle for anything less than real maple syrup, Sam’s Club is going to be your best bet at scoring this sweet (and typically high-priced) grocery item for the best price! In fact, even Target’s cheapest maple syrup from their affordable Good & Gather line is still $4 more. ALDI, which is known for its low prices, still can’t even top this low price – and neither of them is organic!
When you score the Member’s Mark organic maple syrup, you’ll get the very best sap from wild maples made by 5th-generation master sugar makers. Plus, there are no preservatives or artificial anything!

We especially love the seasonal treats, like chocolate-covered strawberries, huge pumpkin pies, and much more.

You can find the Member’s Mark brand in various scents like Lavender & Fresh Clean or stick to the original unscented. Compared to Costco’s 200-pack of trash bags priced at $19.99 and Target’s Up & Up 120-pack priced at $16.79, we know you’re getting the best deal around! (And that’s no trash talk, it’s just real talk!) 😅
8. Member’s Mark Paper Plates are made in the USA & incredibly durable.
Member’s Mark Dessert/Snack Paper Plates 330-Count – 6.875″ $16.98 (5¢ per plate)

Member’s Mark Aller-itin Loratadine Tablets 10mg, 400-Count Antihistamine $12.23 (3¢ per pill)
Most of us would never put a price on our health, but if you or someone you love struggles with seasonal allergies daily, there are affordable options on the market. Even Hip2Save’s Liza said her doctor recommended that she get her allergy medicine from Sam’s!
At Sam’s Club, you can score their Member’s Mark Aller-itin Loratadine Tablets (400-count) for around 12 bucks! Compared to 2 packs of Target’s 200-count similar allergy tablets at regular price and sold by their affordable Up & Up brand, you’ll be saving around $28 – relief for you and your wallet. 😏
“I would keep the membership for the price of OTC meds alone. I buy for several family members. Generic Zyrtec and Generic Allegra, generic Prilosec, probiotics, huge bottles of Naproxen Sodium or Ibuprofen that we divide up. Savings are tremendous compared to regular Walmart, Dollar General, or places like CVS and Walgreens.” – Lesa, Hip2Save reader
Monica from the Hip2Save team also shops for Mucinex and most other meds at Sam’s. They’re so much cheaper and come in large quantities. This is great for families because usually when one person gets sick, it’s not too long until the rest of the house gets it too! 🙈
Hip Tip: While we think this product is great and comes highly recommended by many of our Hip2Save readers, we aren’t doctors, therefore, before buying and using any medications always consult with your doctor first.
11. Even the biggest Dawn fans are switching to Member’s Mark Liquid Dishwashing Soap.

Plus, compared to Target’s Up & Up Dawn knockoff soap, priced at $7.59 and with 25 fewer ounces, Sam’s Club dish soap is the biggest value to make life sparkly clean. It’s one of our favorite Sam’s Club products.
“A loyal Dawn customer for years. Not anymore. This dish soap is just as great for a fraction of the price. Cuts grease and plenty of suds. A great product!” – Kathy, Sam’s Club Member

14. Hip2Save readers love the price of Sam’s Club gasoline.
Some Sam’s Club locations offer gasoline and it’s a preferred place to stop when Hip2Save readers need to refill their tanks. Many readers mention it being considerably cheaper than other fuel stations in their area.
“I’m in a really big city so there is A LOT of competition and our Sam’s is always the lowest other than a Buccee’s that’s 45 minutes away – Michelle, Hip2Save reader
15. The Hip community often gets a steal of a deal when it comes to Sam’s Club apparel.

Are Sam’s club baby wipes comparable to Pampers or Huggies? I’d like to try them but I don’t like Pampers and would hate to buy a giant box full of those.
I buy Sam’s wipes, and I really like them. To me, Their texture is not as flimsy as pampers. But absolute fav is Costco Kirkland wipes but we live closer to Sams.
Very true, then all of an sudden the unscented wipes went away. Our only quotes we buy. The scented ones smelled horrible. Just this month the unscented ones came back and they are amazing. I tried Kirkland when I couldnt find Sam’s club and couldnt stand them. Glad Sam’s club came back again.
Yes the ones that burned were the scented kind when i couldn’t see any option to buy the unscented ones.
Doesn’t Sams sell adult wipes?
Yes.
Samsclub wipes are the best. I used to use target but I recently bought these as it was like $0.002 cheaper per wipe, and these were just as good if not better. One thing no one explains is the target and sam’sclub wipes are a cloth type wipe, not those paper ones from brands like pampers. If you pull on. Pampers wipe it rips. If you pull on a target or samsclub one it stretches like cloth. It’s much more durable and high quality.
We liked the huggies natural wipes and just tried sams. We love the sams better. Same quality wipe and the packaging is better. The huggies open area would be hard to rip open.
I don’t like pampers either lol I thought I was the only one.
The Sam’s are the best wipes imo. But Sam’s has a policy that if you buy one of their brands and aren’t satisfied you can return for store credit. Even if it’s used. I have done this twice and had no hassle. Just an fyi for any members mark products you’d like to try 🙂
Also keep in mind if you really don’t like them they will take them back.
I still buy sams wipes and my kids are in middle school. I clean with them and keep a pack in the car. Great for baseboards!!
My daughter swears by these wipes and diapers, she use to be a diaper snob and use only pampers and huggies. She has a 4 yr old, 3 yr old and 2 yr old and is 7 months pregnant. So she had 3 kids in diapers at one time. And has bought this brand for the new baby as well , Hope this helps.
remember you can always return anything u aren’t satisfied with at sams. even food.
Another thing that is dirt cheap if you use a lot of it (I do) is YEAST! It is so much cheaper than buying the 3-packs or a jar of it in store. I cannot remember exactly but it was like $6 for 2 big foiled bags. I would never have thought of buying yeast at Sam’s Club, but it is literally pennies every time I bake my bread.
Oh cool! Thanks for the helpful suggestion, Lisa! Good to know!
Yes! A 3 pack is like over $2 now. I have been using my first bag of yeast for so long and it still works great. We make a lot of pizza dough and cinnamon rolls. So much cheaper. Even if you only use half of it.
Gramma, so glad I’m not the only one who likes the price of the yeast. Yes, sadly, even if you don’t use it all. It’s dirt cheap yeast!
Store it in the frreezer it lasts forever!
We have aseptic tank so we run old yeast down the drain to feed the beasties in there.
And you can keep your yeast in the freezer to keep it indefinitely.
Noticed last week when I was shopping through the app that they had bundles of the paper goods that saved a good chunk of money. I got a bundle that had toilet paper, trash bags, and paper towels at a very reasonable price!
“Bundles.” Now that is new (for me anyway) at Sam’s Club. But is that available in store or just online (via the app)?
Oh cool! Thanks for the heads up! We’ll be sure to look for those!
We have used the Members Mark brand paper products for years and I would never use anything else. I prefer Members Mark over any brand. They are amazing.
Sam’s brownie bites are my absolute favorite. I don’t know if they’re necessarily a frugal deal since I haven’t purchased in a while, but they are delicious.
Two bites!!!!! So yummy!
Yes! Those are the best. Their chocolate chunk cookies are so good too!
I buy over the counter Allegra. A 90 day supply seems to be the cost of about a 45 day supply everwhere else.
The one by up and up at Target is superior. Works better than any other I have tried and I have terrible allergies.
We buy Monster drinks by the case, huge bottles of Kraft Parmesan cheese that we put in the smaller bottles, Romaine lettuce and bananas regularly. I supply snacks for my department and am always purchasing their instant savings items – I have a 40 pack of the Lance crackers right now. Another great deal is Klondike bars. Not to mention gas – usually lower than the stations in town.
Diphenhydramine (brand name Benadryl) is really cheap, under $5 for 500 pills. Those of you who take a “PM” medicine, this is what is used to aid in sleep.
I don’t want to be a Debbie downer, but I recently learned Sam’s Club and Walmart both use an ingredient in their rotisserie chickens to make them cook faster. This was confirmed by a former employee of Walmart. I know they are cheaper to buy at those stores than other grocery chains, but I will gladly pay a little more to not have additional chemicals on or in my chicken that is not necessary. The very few times I purchased them from either place prior to learning that, the meat always did not seem as juicy as other stores. (Probably due to the “quick cooking additive”.)
Diphenhydramine is correlated with increased risk of dementia and Alzheimers, with even sporadic use. It is an anti-cholinergetic. Look up the medical studies.
Our family regularly buys seven of the items on this list, love Sam’s Club! We don’t get the chicken and we’re not a big sports drink family. But, I need to try out the bacon one of these times!
When are the Same Club one day sales? How do I get notified of them?
Hi Sandra! We’ll be sure to keep an eye out and post when they pop up!
https://hip2save.com/save-money-with/sams-club/
You can also sign up to get their email updates when you scroll to the bottom of their site. Hope this helps!
Would like to know about sales!
You can find the February deals here!
HP laserjetpro,8600 plus, 950 black 951 color cartages
I buy many things at Sam’s and have lately been buying more online that they deliver. I’m a plus member so my delivery is free. Also certain prescriptions are available for Plus members at little or no cost. I get bullion, soup base and certain spices they’re at a very low cost. Bacon is a must! Plus they have great deals on pre-cooked bacon for those of us who don’t cook that much anymore! There are great deals on cleaners, Electronics and tires! I’ve used them for tires for probably 25 years or so and they have specials that can’t be beat plus all the advantages of no extra costs and road hazard
I would like to check out the store before I buy a memership do you have option to buy a one day pass?
Hi there! I did just check on that with customer service to be certain. They do not currently offer a one day shopping pass.

Call ahead but it used to be that if you had a Walmart gift card you were allowed in to use it; nonmembers do have an up charge though. Also if you get a membership and don’t like it you get your money back no questions asked. The easiest is just to go with a friend or relative and look around.
yes you can use walmart gift cards there.
I have Walmart gift card.
I can use it without being a Sam’s member?
Don’t ave to pay 10 %?
That would be cool.
No upcharge in SC. It is against state law.
By law in some states if a club sells alcohol they have to allow you in, so you can at least go look and see if it’s worth while for you. Pharmacy prescriptions are another way to get into the store, just tell them you’re going to the pharmacy. Another way is if someone you know that has a membership ask them to buy you a shopping card, then you can show them that and buy what you want.
I would check out BJ’s wholesale too. I regularly get the equivalent of these items cheaper because they offer coupons in their app! You can search for $25 yearly memberships as well
Thanks for the helpful suggestion, Valerie!
I have been buying members mark toilet paper for years. Always was my favorite but over a year ago I noticed it had changed. I noticed there was a lot more lint/particles on my bathroom floor….as well as myself, it reminded me of using the old Charmin. After talking with my sister and friend they also had similar lint problems in their bathrooms. I didn’t think it could possible be the toilet paper but I switched it up with a different brand and it went away. Just throwing they out there in case anyone else has noticed the same issues but not connected it to the TP.
Thanks for the heads-up on the lint mess with this toilet paper. I hate that!
What toilet paper would you recommend?
Yes!!! I have noticed that lately!
For those that don’t like Members Mark TP, I love Kroger’s brand Soft & Strong TP. It’s the only TP we buy. The 18 triple roll pack comes out cheaper per square foot than the Sam’s Club TP. It’s not “linty” and is soft without being “so” soft that it falls apart. Usually $9.99 for 800 sq ft double ply but I often get e-coupons to make it even cheaper. (For price comparison Members Mark is $19.99 foot 1254 sq ft of paper)
Yes, same for us. We’ve used their tp for years. The rolls are wider than the name brands, and it didn’t have the lint issue. Now, yep, we’ve been noticing the lint. It’s annoying.
I’ve been out of school for a bit so please correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn’t the toilet paper be $.018 per sheet?
Whoops! Thanks, Julebay! That has been updated.
Almost…$.018, not $.18.
Thanks again!
TP clogs. So many clogs I’m super Mario 😑
Free flat tire fix is great.
I agree with everything except the dish soap. I try to purchase store brands and generally love the Members Mark but the dish soap to me is not worth it. It is cheaper but i found myself needing more to do my dishes. I watch out for the sale, usually Dawn will be on sale a few times a year and I stock up.
I love Members Mark products, but I agree about the dish soap. I tried the Members Mark soap and hated it. I didn’t even finish half the bottle, before going back to Dawn. I just wish that Sams would stock the regular blue Dawn again. I love the smell of the original Dawn.
Wait… Charmin makes paper towels?!? I’ve been missing out! I’ve only ever used their toilet paper.
No, I think they meant bounty lol
Whoops! Got that updated – it’s Bounty!
In addition to the rotisserie chickens, our Sam’s Club also sells a cooked rack of barbequed baby back ribs for $11.98. They are delicious!
You just made my day. Now I know what we’re having for dinner tonight.
Honestly, we’ve started buying most of our clothes from Sam’s and they are cute!! Can’t beat the price either.
Do they still offer the wipes 4 pack? Our store only sells them individually and told us that they have been told not to sell the 4 packs from corporate.
Has anyone purchased eye glasses at Sam’s and what are your thoughts , thanks .
I have not, but my sister has and I was shocked at the price she paid for progressive lenses!! She paid outright for hers what I paid with double vision coverage! Of course my frames are designer but still! And I just got back from Sam’s and while waiting in the return line I noticed the vision associate assisting a customer near me with sunglasses. Think maybe she was being the sale sunglasses and getting prescription lenses? Anyway, the customer seemed super happy with the service she was receiving!
I did this. Bought designer sunglasses at Sam’s then had them put Rx lenses in. I think it was $50-$75 for the lenses. I’m very happy with them.
I did and hated them. They refunded my money in full.
I always get the sushi too! So yummy, affordable, and made right there
The plates are cheaper at Walmart for the 300 count
I noticed that too but they are not as thick or supportive so I had to use 2 instead of 1 for many things so I went back to the Sam’s plates because for me I used less of them which made them a better deal because they are better quality. I guess it depends on what you use them for and if you could only use one or if you need a heavier plate and would have to double up!
I just got home from Sam’s and bought #s 1, 2, 3 and 6!! I also bought the dishwasher pods, not the liquid, but will next time! 🙂
And as most of you know, you just cannot beat the rotisserie chicken! First thing I do is debone all the meat, eating some as I go, then make chicken stock with the carcass for later use.
I use the meat all week (it’s just me, hub is vegetarian) for sandwiches, tacos, casseroles, salads or just a quick bite of protein.
I’m curious what others do with their rotisserie chickens??? Maybe H2S can make a post?
We do have a post on this, Lydia! Head here for a post on easy rotisserie chicken dinner ideas!
Buffalo chicken wing dip. Easy peasy.
I make chicken enchiladas.
I take the leg quarters off and put them n a covered casserole dish. Then slather with BBQ sauce. Then when I want it for dinner I just put it on a 350degree oven for 30-40 minutes and they are delicious. I slice one breast for sandwiches and make chicken salad or a casserole with the rest of the meat.
I like and use many items on this list, but their kitchen trash bags have not been good for us. We struggled to stretch them around the top of the trash can without them tearing. If your kitchen trash can is a bit of a tight fit, you might want to look elsewhere (there are like 500 bags, so using them all up will take forever).
And honestly, they have really stepped up their game in the meds/vitamin aisle. Lots of supplements and generic medications, and they are much cheaper than anywhere else I’ve found. Heartburn and allergy meds are particularly inexpensive, as are the protein shakes. We recently found generic flonase nasal spray for like $30 for a 6 pack, and it works great. I feel like my membership pays for itself just in that aisle.
I love the members mark dish soap
Can anyone compare these to Costco?
We have both memberships, and for pretty much every item listed above it is either cheaper at Sam’s, better quality, or both, IMO. Also can’t beat using the scanning app to check yourself out instead of waiting in the long costco lines.
Same we have both memberships shopping at Sams is so much more enjoyable my Costco is always a madhouse. I like that Sams is consistent on what they carry so u can always get it again.
We recently bought 4 tires and learned that when you buy all 4 you will get free roadside assistance. It includes changing tires, bringing you gas (you pay for the fuel), towing…I know I am leaving somethings out. I was told it is for 100 miles from my local Sam’s club, but it is supposed to be a national service according to the paperwork I received.
A trip to Sams Club is not overwhelming when you order through their app for curbside pickup. You just pull up and they load it all in your car in 5 minutes while you wait. You can get groceries. Its not powered by instacart so there are no tips, no fees, and stock is very accurate. You can order most things, though not the chicken. You can get take home pizza, fruit, etc.
I love their curbside!
Has anyone else noticed that the maple syrup seems watery? My husband went to pour it out and it dumped a river onto his pancake 🤔 it is our first time using that brand so idk if it’s just the bottle we got or all of them..?
Real maple syrup is usually a more watery consistency.
Bowen, Members Mark maple syrup is the only syrup my spouse uses (I only use the fake stuff!). He has not noted any difference.
Thank you. I will have to check these out. I would never use paper plates or trash bags. I use store grocery bags for my trash as most of our trash gets recycled. I can’t see any use for the plastic silverware either. These are some great deals though. I can’t remember the last time I have been inside a Sam’s though I do have an account with my daughter. LOL
You’re so welcome! Happy shopping!
The Member’s Mark Disinfecting Wipes are not less than 2¢ per wipe. They’re actually closer to 3¢ (0.02878).
Thanks so much! Just updated!
Most Non-Organic maple syrup is also made without any chemicals or pesticides. It’s all the same process with just one bit of paperwork different. Sam’s maple syrup is good; just no reason to pay a lot more for organic. It’s almost like “Non GMO water.”
Free membership these days, do it , $45 and get $45 gift card. You won’t regret it
Can anyone chime in on how the Members Mark household items compare to the Kirkland items from Costco (tp, paper towels, etc)? I just grabbed the membership for Sam’s and have been a Costco member forever.
Heather, my DIL is a diehard Costco member (she grew up on it and no convincing her otherwise). There are perks to both. For me, Sam’s Club is closer and we utilize the gas discount, and through the link H2S posted, 45 for the membership and 45 back in giftcard is a no brainer. Again, for me, it’s a convenience issue. I’ve tried the Costco TP, paper towels, and all else that comes with a Costco membership (when visiting DIL) and honestly, it is all the same to me. Again, for me, convenience and can’t beat the price. I’d say the same thing about Costco if they were convenient, but geez, the lines both in store and at the pump at Costco, well, that’s for the birds.
I belong to both Sams and Costco. The rotisserie chickens are better at Sams! Thanks for the heads up about the dish soap. I’ve never tried theirs.
No rotisserie chickens at our store yesterday. Warmer not even lit so that means no chickens at all.
The price you have listed on the paper plates is for a 6 inch dessert size. I do love their paper plates but they run over $20 for 300 of the 8 1/2 inch ones now (a year and a half ago they were around $15). They are probably still cheaper than anywhere else at this point but they have gone up like everything else with this terrible inflation.
Thanks, Jennifer! I did add the plate size to make it more clear.🤗
Don’t forget about scan and go – game changer!!
Yes! Thanks for the reminder, Anne! 🙌 https://hip2save.com/deals/sams-club-scan-and-go/
Also the Members Mark nasal spray (Aller-nose)!
Thanks, Sara! Good to know what stays on your Sam’s Club list! 🙌
I’ve been a member for over 6 months, have never received a flyer. Tried viewing it online, just too much paging down to view everything. Do you think if I contact them they would actually mail them to me?
Hey Pat! I found a help article on how to request a flyer to be sent via mail here. Hoping this is helpful! 💕
I’m a member at both Costco and Sam’s. I buy from both. Recently just randomly purchased costco TP instead of Sam’s. My 10 year old daughter wondering what happened to the toilet paper. She wasn’t happy. Lol.
I agree. Costco toilet paper has a new “formula”. Won’t buy it anymore. Love Sam’s brand
While I don’t have a Sams membership, I do have a Costco. And man, I can’t stop buying things. 🤣 I don’t think I ever left under $400. 🥴
I totally understand! 🙌 I actually have a BJ’s and I want all of the things in there too! 😆💕
I love their chicken parmesan kit. The chicken is cooked and breaded. Has packs of sauce and cheese. Just put it together and heat. It is really good.
YUM! Glad to hear you’ve enjoyed that one! Thanks for sharing, Heather! 🙌
I have the Sams membership and the husband has Costco. I love to check the prices and for most things Sams is usually a better buy but when Costco has a sale it can be better. Sams rotisserie chickens are so much better than Costcos. Their dish soap is also a really good buy but Costco has a biodegradable one that is also fantastic. I have not tried any of the toilet paper because I have used Scott’s for years and years. I’m also a Huggies fan but will try the Sams next time I need replacements. Sams Greek yogurt is also the only one I have ever found that I can feed to my dogs (lower amount of sugar). I feed the feral cats in our neighborhood and Sams has such a better price and bigger bag that I don’t have to buy as often. Sams also has the Ginger ale with the Blackberry and Cranberry flavors that I can’t find elsewhere. And there are more that I’m just not thinking about right now.
Thanks so much for taking the time to share your comparisons, Mary! Awesome that you shop at both Sam’s and Costco. 🙌
We really like the rotisserie chicken from Sams, but now they are almost always out of them. They hardly ever have the chicken when I go into the store. :/
DARN! How disappointing. Hoping they begin to have more available for you at your location, Cindy B. 🤞❤️
I love Sam’s. They take back anything- no questions asked. Their customer service is number 1. Free delivery & curbside with plus membership. I can get work out gear as low as $7. I’ve bought some great winter plush blankets for my bed. I have no complaints!
Thanks for sharing some of your favorite things about Sam’s Club, Rebecca! Happy to hear you’re loving it! 🥰
