With school out for the summer, many parents are looking for screen-free ways to keep their children busy and maybe even learning a thing or two before school starts up again in the fall!

If you’d like to give your kiddos a break from their screens, printable games and activity pages for kids are a great way to go! There are lots of screen-free kids worksheets that your kiddo can do with little or no help, and the ones on our list are all completely free to print!

Children’s Activity Pages for Preschoolers

  • Alphabet I Spy – Reinforce your child’s letter recognition skills with this printable I-Spy activity.
  • Color by Number – Practice colors, numbers, and fine motor skills with these free color by number printables. Enter your email at Education.com to get access to this and other free content during school closures.
  • Connect the Dots (1-20) – Dot-to-dot activities are a fun way to practice number recognition and counting, and they make great coloring pages after they’re completed too!
  • Indoor Scavenger Hunts – For free children’s activities, print several different and fun indoor scavenger hunts to keep the kiddos engaged.
  • Outdoor Scavenger Hunt – This is a simple printable list (with both pictures and words) of things your young child can look for in their own backyard. If you liked this printable, check out these other outdoor scavenger hunt worksheets for kids!
  • Movement Mat – Although you may have to help your preschooler with reading these activities, many of them can be done independently to burn off some energy. Have your child color in the boxes as they complete them!

  • Gratitude Log – In difficult times, writing down the good stuff can help. This free printable will get your middle schooler thinking about everything they have to be grateful for.
  • K12Reader – Printable kids worksheets are available for students in grades 6-8 with a focus on reading, writing, spelling, and vocabulary.
  • Vocabulous – These printables will help your middle-schooler to build up a fabulous vocabulary with the help of a dictionary.

  • Photo Scavenger Hunt – Have your teen practice their photography skills with this fun printable scavenger hunt. Although it was designed by a teacher to be completed at school, most of these items can be found around the home or backyard too.
