As a barista, I am going to say NAY. I was excited to hear that we were going to be making charged lemonades and have the option for caffeine free refreshers. You would be surprised how many young kids get the refreshers with no water and no lemonade, only the base. YUCK. I tried the new formula with and without the green coffee extract and to me it was a huge let down. I got old school cough medicine flavor vibes. I am not sure why Starbucks feels the need to be making all of these changes with their formulas and then surprised that people don’t like it. Just like the new chai concentrate, its not as good as the original formula. We have had numerous complaints as to how the new unsweetened, then add classic, formula has changed in the flavor and the consistency. As for the mango syrup…where do I begin? Its nothing that I would write home about. To me it tastes too artificial and like kool-aid being added. The cold foam was the only part that I liked, but I added it to the banana cold foam which isn’t even an option except for baristas to experiment with. Maybe if they did a mango puree, I would enjoy it more but hey, you guys go ahead and try it, you might like or you might not. I just know that I was highly disappointed on my end.
