Plan on doing more traveling?

Traveling is a blast especially when you get to do it with your loved ones and make wonderful memories. If you’ve been traveling more lately or plan on doing so in the future, one cool way to commemorate your adventures is with a fun push-pin travel map that you can create yourself!

Hip2Save reader, Sara, did just that with a little inspiration from Lina and she did it without spending much money at all! Check out her DIY crafting story…

state stickers and cork board

I made my own version of one of the crafts featured here with all Dollar Tree materials. The map is a sticker set (similar map sticker set here). I used three sheets of adhesive cork (I could’ve only used two if I had planned better), one piece of foam board, and one piece of poster board.

I already had the frame from a photo collage that I no longer use but if I needed one I would’ve gone to Goodwill or another thrift store to find an ugly print with a good frame (all of those 90’s country blue geese prints are screaming for a new life!).

I can’t wait to add push pins of all of the places our family has visited!

Thank you, Sara, for sharing your awesome DIY push pin travel map! What a wonderful way to keep track of all the locations your family has visited throughout the years! This would be a super fun family crafting project and would look great displayed almost anywhere in your home. If you like to travel locally, you could even make a state map and pin all the road trips you’ve gone on. Happy travels!👋
