Yay! Mercury Magazines is offering up yet another magazine freebie! Just head on over here to score a FREE 1 year Subscription to Ladies Home Journal! When asked about your “Industry”, you’ll have the option to choose homemaker (if you ARE in fact a stay at home mom).

Update: I just posted the option to choose Homemaker because lots of you have asked how to go about answering the industry question when you are a stay at home mom. However, I know I have lots of readers that aren’t, so you’ll be able to pick from the other options that are available.

(Thanks, KrazyCouponLady!)

Ummmm…assuming that your readers are all SAHMs.

    • Wendi

I don’t think she assuming that at all. There are just certain ways to score these deals and she is giving you the inside scoop. Glad to be a SAHM!!!

    • Anonymous

I think she’s just letting SAHMs know that they can qualify, too. People have known to get “creative” with job titles to score freebies.

  2. Lisa

    Thanks Colin!

  3. Kathi

Thanks Collin! – Even as a full-time working-outside-the-home mom, I am enjoying all these free magazines – including this one! Thanks again!

  4. Sarah

Sweet I got it. I used Business Services/ HR.

  5. Tara

you don’t have to put homemaker, it works for other jobs listed as well.

  6. Christie

I can’t ever get these to work. It always says that I did not complete the required surveys and does not give anywhere for me to enter my address. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

    • Aliya

      I had the same problem.

    • Julie

It says I didnt complete my address but did not give me a place to put it in. I tried twice.

    • Janet

I too have had problems getting the last two free magazines from Mercury. I never had problems before. It just wouldn’t let me enter in my address. I even tried a different e-mail address. Hmm I wonder what the problem could be?

    • pami

i had the same problem with using Homemaker. I tried it again using the line of work I do when I am working and it went through fine.

  7. Lynne W

Don’t use SAHM if you want the magazine, you won’t get it – after putting in all the information it basically said that I didn’t qualify. I also sell online so I used retail. If you are SAHM, use your spouse to get the mag instead.

  8. michelle

Are these totally free as in i dont have to cancel it at anytime…and it wont renew on its own.

  9. Kimns

I’m filling this out but not sure what a SAHM is?? I chose “other” and “homeaker” … but not sure where to go from there???

    • Leah

      SAHM= stay at home mom.

    • Bev

SAHM stands for Stay At Home Mom. 😉

  10. Janet

Yes Michelle. Totally free. No need to do anything else.

  11. Christi

I always choose homemaker and always am able to get the magazine. Got this for myself and my mom Thanks

  12. anne

  13. Leah

    SAHM=stay at home mom

  15. mommy308

    Thanks Collin!

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I made it through to checkout, filled in all the info, but it won’t allow me to submit the form. I’m not getting an error message, but it’s as if the submit button isn’t active. 🙁

  17. Kimns

Always says my zipcode and city don’t match. I don’t know what is up with that? I do know where I live!

    • fran

My city is Mt. Laurel, and I have to type in Mount…maybe this applies to you.

      • Anabel

last time I wrote Tx instead of TX for Texas and it wouldn’t go through until I capitalized both letters.

  18. Kellie

It worked fine for me. I used other/homemaker for the industry and general management/general management/general manager for the job function. Thanks, Colin!

    • Mo Keaton

Thanks so much, did exactly what you did, and it worked great. 🙂

  19. fran

    Thanks Collin…got it.

  20. Elizabeth

Thanks Collin. You could always say you are a teacher because if you have kids at home you are always teaching them.

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The system was really slow, but got it!

  22. Mo Keaton

I have tried retail, SAHM, Healthcare ( which is like impossible to find, and still nothing. It still says that I didn’t fill out a survey.

  23. Lindy

Thanks! I missed out on the last Mercury magazine you posted.

  24. Shell

If it says you didn’t fill out the survey, you aren’t qualifying. Go back and change your selections until it works. For me, there are several answers that fit the company we own. Some answers get me nothing, some get the magazine. None are lying though, so it is all good 🙂

  25. Catherine

I am a stay at home mom and when I fill these out I always say I’m in the food/lodging industry focusing on nutrition with a job function in management. This always works for me and believe me….it’s true!

  26. Betsy

They are out of stock now. Bummer!

  27. Betsy

    Out of stock 🙁

  28. Jane

Out of stock… guess I was too late!

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Missed this one too! Hopefully next time I’ll have better luck!

  30. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have a question for those who have magazine subscriptions. I have enough points at My Coke Rewards to order a one-year subscription for a number of magazines. Can anyone tell me which one is best for coupons — Redbook, Good Housekeeping, or Ladies Home Journal?

    • Sheyanne

Cindy, I had a Redbook subscription a year or two ago. I didn’t think it had that many coupons it. I have not had the other magazines you mentioned so I dont know how they would compare.

    • Joy

Cindy, I would say Good Housekeeping out of those 3 choices as far as coupons go. Usually there is a small monthly coupon insert for various brands. This past month I believe the insert was for Minute Rice, Stayfree, Dole canned pineapple and New York frozen garlic bread. Plus, sometimes there are other coupons on a couple of ad pages. Of course, no magazine has as many as All You does.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks! I’ll have to double-check for the All You magazine.

  31. Lora

    Deal is dead

  32. Melanie

Definitely not working anymore. They said they had overwhelming response and there aren’t any subscriptions left.

  33. Ruth Verkaik

    Yep… disappointingly true

  34. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

This mag. is out of stock.

  35. Anonymous

    out of stock. bummer.

  36. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    out of stock…

  37. Susan Harris

    Out of Stock…Bummed!!
    🙁

  38. Amy

darn out of stock…thanks though! love all my free mags!!!
