Woohoo! Thanks for posting this deal! I will be taking advantage of this…hopefully, multiple times!
Another amazing deal for nurses, teachers, firefighters, and police officers that is year round is at New York & Company… With ID, you get 15% off of your purchases. Just thought I’d pass this along, although I think I may have learned this from your website… Great job!

Stella,
My best friend is having a hard time finding a job here in Texas, too… Internships are very competitive and they are having hundreds of new grads apply for just a handful of positions. Once you get your foot in the door and have experience, it doesn’t seem to be so difficult, but I suppose the economy has affected the hospitals’ hiring practice, too. Good luck to you!
Andrea says:
That’s awful—yet they keep saying there is such a dire shortage of nurses—and around here the waiting list to get into a nursing school is pretty darn long. It doesn’t make sense, does it? The only thing I can figure is that they’re still doing what a nurse acquaintance of mine said—they are understaffing.

The Walgreen’s near our hospital gives 15% off, as well as Wendy’s. My husband works at SIUH here in Staten Island and their union has special offers at various companies, such as Verizon Wireless, Dolphin Gym, etc.

This offer for DD is valid only in NY tri states……no luck here on IL I just call to confirm this.

I graduated from nursing school in October and had a heck of a time ever finding a job. No one would touch me with a 10 foot pole. I lucked into a part time job in assisted living and have picked up every available shift possible. At 7 1/2 months pregnant I worked 80 hours in 8 days. It is all understaffing and a bad economy, employers can pick from the cream of the crop now.
