  1. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I was at Staples yesterday and found 6 rolls of Marcel paper towels for $5.40.

    • RM

they sell the single rolls of marcal paper towels for $1.00 at my staples so free after coupons.

  2. Frugal Librarian

FREE DELIVERY TO YOUR HOME! Wow. What a deal.

  3. Christine

The ones that come in the multi packs are not as bad as the ones they sell as single roll. The Marcal paper towels are pretty useless…we take the free rolls for little stuff in the garage (only because they are free). The multipacks of Marcal TP is not the best TP but not the worst…good to hold as a back up…definitely dont use the single rolls even as a back up! They are horrible!!!

    • Lolo

Geez, I have never tried the single rolls, I boutght the multipack a while back with a free coupon and I think it is HORRIBLE! I don’t even use it. It sits in my closet and I buy new tp whenever we run out. It might come in handy to tp someones house but not for use in the bathroom LOL.

  4. Ellen F

So I ordered it first @$4.99 then saw the post about getting it for $2.99. I called staples and canceled my order.. by the time I did that my sister called and I told her about it and then talked to my other sister and then Mom.. goodness. So I originally ordered 2 for $10.38 and canceled and reordered 6 for 19.30ish. That’s crazy! Thanks for the tip on the $2.99 online! yay!
Mean while I was searching my house for a staples coupon I thought I had that was $25 off an order of $75(business account).. I SO would have bought 2 more to get them all FREE.. too bad I lost this other coupon! 🙁

    • KellyJ

I did the same thing! I ordered 2 at the $4.99 price. then called and canceled mine also! lol.. Well… It was worth it though!

  5. Maggie

You can get the $2.99 price without messing with any insert or other coupons, or going to the store. I don’t know how or why this is happening but:
Go to staples.com and click the “order from catalog #” button. Click on it. Enter 593805-v6 and order one. (you can adjust the quantity later and order more if you’d like). It comes up as 10.99, but when you go to check out, it applies an $8 coupon, making it just 2.99. This is the same 24 pack. You can also use any Rewards you have online on this deal!

    • Rebekah

you are right! thank you so much for saving me that headache of going to the store with kids in tow!!!!

    • Thriftycatlady

Definately a much better deal! I ordered 5 @ $4.99 and was gonning get it sent to the store (which the nearest one is located in Williamsburg, I’m in Va Beach!). I now ordered 10 and get it shipped to my home! Yay!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

thanks… I didnt see this comment before my order so I cancelled it and ordered 2. I did ship to store bc I couldnt figure our how to get free shipping! LOL thanks

    • wende kelly

i went in and the mngr price matched their online special AND took my coupons AND it automatically took the $8 instant rebate thingy off!!! $3.22 for THREE 24 packs!!! even if it’s not great tp, you can’t beat 72 rolls of tp for $3.22!!!

  6. Charmaine

Thanks I ordered 10 for 29.90, and delivered FREE to my doorstep! Awesome deal!!!

  7. Nicole C.

Thanks for the tip Maggie! Awesome deal!!! Hope my hubby likes it!! 🙂 LOL

  8. KellyJ

Got six for$19 and some change to my door free!!!!!!!!!! thanks! I don’t care if these feel like Gas Station tp… This IS a great deal and can’t be passed up!

  9. Angie

I was able to sweeten this deal even further! I had a card from Staples for $25 off a $75 purchase, so I purchased 10 packages of the toilet paper and added some ink I needed to reach the $75 mark (was actually $82) – Only paid $58 w/free shipping to my house and I’ll get 2% back by ordering through Ebates!! Woo hoo! That’s a year’s worth of toilet paper us! Now I gotta figure out where to put it all when it arrives!

    • KellyJ

WTG! I love me some great deals like that. And I Was thinking the same thing… haha .. Where to put it all…. I need me a storage area for all the tp, toothpaste, bodywash, deodoarant, shampoo, tampons, cascade, dishsoaps, airwick sprays I have got for free or nearly nothing…… haha

  10. Angie

After seeing that others got it for $2.99, I called Staples and they credited my credit card another $20 off! So, I got 10 packages of toilet paper and 2 HP ink cartridges for $48 – with free shipping!

    • Angie

Correction – I only paid $38! So, I only paid $4.90 for 240 rolls of toilet paper!

  11. Chrissy

typing in the item # worked great! I got 10 of them for $9.16 (shipped free) because I had $21 in Staples rewards from the batteries deal! Now to clear out a storage spot…plus my kids use so much tp that I couldn’t pass this deal up.

    • Barbara

When I tried to order it said it couldn’t be added to my cart because of my delivery area?? I guess they are out of toilet paper!! Oh well.

  12. Adele

I hope this doesn’t cause a backorder! Crossing my fingers for a delivery email soon!

  13. Felicia

I got a 24pk for .99 each. Rachel at mashupmom.com said she heard if you go into Staples and place the order at the kiosk, you can use paper coupons. I decided to try it out. I went to Staples, entered 593805-v6 at the kiosk and ordered (6) 24pks, then printed the order form, brought it up to the register, it rang up as $2.99 per 24pk then handed them (6) $2 coupons. My total including tax and delivery was $7.38. I will be sending them with my daughter when she goes to New Orleans for a mission trip with church. Awesome deal!

  14. CJ

    all gone 🙁

  15. nancy

Yep. All gone. I guess that will happen when people order ten at a time!

  16. Rachael

back-ordered for me too, I was doing Relay For Life all evening into today… I guess I miss this AWESOME deal this time around!!

  17. Adele

Mine is showing “PROCESSING ORDER” Hopefully these get shipped!

  18. Dana

I just received an email from Staples saying that the item I ordered is not available for purchase at this time and that my card was not charged. Very disappointing.

  19. Adele

Mine is now saying “OUT OF STOCK”

I ordered at 4am too…I am so bummed!

  20. Michele

I really hate it when companies don’t keep enough stock. Remove the link if you are getting low.

At this time, the item listed below is not available for purchase.

    • Kristie

I agree with you Michele. I know a whole bunch of us were super excited to be getting such an awesome deal. Maybe a whole bunch of us need to contact Staples and let them know how upset we are. The way they should have handled it is by having a limit on the number you could purchase and also by taking the deal down once the quantity had been reached. I know this wasn’t the best toilet paper in the whole world, but for our family of 6 this would have been awesome to have. If they were a stand-up company, they would at least fill all of the orders once they get more in stock. My e-mail just said it was “out of stock”. Normally a company will say, “we will fill your order once this items is back in stock.”

  21. Jennifer

I successfully ordered some TP on Saturday. I just now received an e-mail from Staples saying that my order was cancelled due to being out of stock. I called Staples Customer Service and the gal that answered the phone stated that when the deal went live they only had 1 case in stock. WTF?? Seriously!! As far as I am concerned that’s false advertising!!

  22. mb

    i am sooo pissed
like u all i got the email canceling my order but i had sent an email about them takin coupons and i was told they dont take coupons (manu) at all so after what u guyus said i sent an email as to weather they do or not this is theyre response
I appreciate the time you have taken to contact Staples, Mandy.
As our coupon policy states, we do not take manufacturer coupons for any order placed on Staples.com through our catalogue or for prepaid orders placed at the kiosks in the store.

If the store has put through a manufacturers coupon for the toilet tissue I do not know how they would have done it.

The stores will take manufacturers coupons in store for an in store purchase but they should never be taking coupons for any online purchases.

We have had numerous customers inquiring about a coupon that they have from the manufacturer of the toilet tissue and this coupon states on it that there is only 1 per customer.

Thank you for this opportunity to respond to your inquiry. I hope you will continue to look to Staples with confidence and satisfaction for all of your office supply needs.
well wtf sorry but this is ridiculous so now thell get an email not a kind 1 lol about being out of stock i agree thats false advertisement and will give office depot more of my money i wont pay more to go there but if theyre the same price i will i have a cousin thats a manger at staples and ill let her know that they just made a lotta couponers unhappy and that we are the shoppers so they screwd up have a good day all

  23. Jennifer

Looks like I wasn’t the only one. Just got an email canceling my order. I’ve sent customer service an email about what poor customer service this is. This was my first and last time ordering from Staples online.

  24. Maria

My order was cancelled as well. That’s so not cool! But, it was too good to be true.

  25. Barb

I just got an email cancelling the order too!

  26. KellyJ

Yeah I just sent them a not so nice order…. That was a joke.. .first of all I stayed up for hrs to try to get it at midnight.. then hours after.. still wasnt posting.. then I get it in morning… talk with customer service, get a conformation email and then days later get an email saying this… They should of let me of known when I was ordering it. Well.. too bad for them.. The money I spend on ink alone in a year for my coupons is quite a bit… I will find someone else that doesn’t suck.

    • KellyJ

On a Brighter note… Where some good deals go sour… There are always New good deals to take over!

  27. Angie

I got the same cancelled email.

  28. Jennifer

I got my email yesterday canceling my order as well…they should fill them once they have more in stock. I know for my family of 5 I wouldn’t mind waiting for such a great deal…

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE STAPLES!!! 🙁

  29. Rhonda

I too got the cancellation. Whats really BS is that some of you ordered it around midnight…..and they STILL couldnt fullfill the orders WTF did they fullfill any orders then??? I ordered 5 about 11 in the morning it should never of even let me order then it should of said out of stock then. This isnt the first time Ive run into BS with Staples.

  30. Lisa

Just got my email as well. They should definitely honor it. Why keep the post up if it is OOS?

  31. nicole

GET THIS!!! I ordered three of these NEVER got a confirmation email so I called them b/c I was supposed to pick this up in store today. They tell me that I ordered NAPKINS! I know I wouldn’t order napkins, I ordered TP with the order number above and have a print out of the receipt. HE proceeds to tell me that it’s my fault and I ordered the napkins. HE refused to credit my account and argued with me for five minutes. So, I called my local store and took in my confirmation, they cancelled my order and sent back the napkins which BTW weren’t even MARCAL!!!

  32. Michelle

staples online has been a huge dissappointment for me. I will never put myself through this again. I got a confirmation email. My CC was even charged! Ridiculous that their system would continue to let people purchase and get charged when they didn’t even have the product in the first place.

  33. Tammy

After writing to Staples customer services and informing them how poorly this was handled, this was the cookie cutter response I received:

I appreciate the time you have taken to contact Staples, Tammy
We understand that it is a tremendous inconvenience for our customers to place an order and then find out it’s out of stock. Unfortunately this was a “While Supplies Last” offer and we no longer have the items requested. It is never Staples’ intention to mislead its customers in any way. Be assured that every effort is being made to make certain that we are always in stock whenever we advertise our merchandise.
I have forwarded your experience to both our product buyers and replenishment group. Also be assured much attention will be given to the way our stores are merchandised for future specials.
Again, please accept our apologies. I do hope you will remain a valued Staples customer and look forward to serving all of your future office supply needs.
If you would like to contact one of our representatives, please reply to this email or call us at 800-333-3330.

  34. Dawn

Has anyone actually received confirmation that their order has gone through? Everyone I’ve spoken with has had their order “canceled”.

    • Nathan

Dawn, I just received an email that my order is ready for pickup from the local store. It also says that I ordered a pack of napkins. =| I’m generally pretty mindful of what I order, so I’m kind of suspicious/peeved about that.

But then again, I need napkins.

  35. Laura

Now I’m upset at Staples incompetence. 1st for having a huge special one day sale and not being prepared and 2cd…who ever heard of an inventory system that doesn’t count backwards as orders are placed, therefore, informing us when item is out of stock.
I went Saturday to a Staples store and ordered 3 pks t.p. and used the mc and I paid cash.
Today I got a voice message stating my order had been canceled because it was while supplies last and cr. card would not be charged. They owe me cash.
Furthermore, for the recent posters that showed Staples response to coupons and that they don’t take them online…we should look back to Collins original post to see where the idea came from in the first place. None of us have time to waste chasing down deals that will not work. I’ll call to complain to them Wednesday.

  36. Laura

Just a follow-up to MB’s posting where Staples.com wrote back stating they don’t take mc coupons. The person that wrote you doesn’t know what they are talking about/not trained.
I found the info on Staples.com (below) and it clearly states they do take mc coupons. I’m asking for my cash back and refund for my mc’s that they took.

Very Frustrating:-( That was the first time I ever shopped at Staples. I ordered right in the store @ 2:30pm, ordered 3, and printer ink , and paid for it right there. Called customer service, I was very kind (knowing it wasnt the lady on the other lines fault) and she said, well it states while supplies last. And she wasnt sure why (paraphrasing) everyone seemed to be frustrated over toilet paper! It was my first online order ever, and Im pretty sure, my last. (and she told me most stores dont give rainchecks?) I guess Im not much of a shopper. 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I returned to the Staples store where I paid for my order, and the manager was very nice. He kindly apologized, refunded my money, and gave me a $10.00 gift cert. for staples for my coupons. I was thankful. 🙂 And I learned something new about ordering online.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        The reply was mine 🙂

  38. muser

Hmmm…I ordered five within minutes after midnight the night of the sale. Staples charged my card. And then sent me this email many days later, and removed the charge from my card.

    Thank you for choosing Staples.

We regret to inform you that item 593805, Marcal Bath Tissue, on the order number referenced above was unable to be shipped with your order. This item was part of a one-day deal on Saturday, 5/22/10 while supplies lasted and the offer is sold out.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. You have not been billed for this item.

If we can be of further assistance, please contact us by either calling 800-333-3330 or by emailing support@orders.staples.com.

    Sincerely,

    Staples Customer Service

  39. Erin Smith

My staples wouldn’t take the office depot coupon. Spoke to the manager… Bummer.
