The coupon for the reeses says limit 3, so how will it work on all 7 packages?
I was just coming to say the same thing. I don’t think it’ll work, but I could be wrong.
Yep, I was gonna post the same thing… it won’t work because the coupon limits 3 packages.
Jello limit is 4. Hmmm.
Yeah, my Walgreens is super friendly and won’t enforce the limits unless you are a shelf-clearer. I just happen to buy 6 because I had 3 BOGO coupons, and they had like a hundred on the shelf. You can of course do less than that, but beware that they ring at 1.19 each if you buy less than 3, and the BOGO coupon has a limit of 1.09. Oh, my store has tons of the reeses and kit kat 8 pks too, so buying 7 wasn’t a problem either. I will admit that I bought 6 neutrogena soaps yesterday, though, because they finally restocked and the RR is printing again. I left 4, but if they are still there on Saturday, they are mine. 🙂
Walgreens still let you buy more than 3 but it depends on the cashier.
Hi guys,
My Walgreens manager does not have a problem when customers purchase more than the limit stated (as long as there is enough in stock). He says that the limit is just a guideline. Also, the in ad coupon will deduct the correct amount (even if you go over the limit stated). So if you buy 7 packages of Reese’s the correct amount will be deducted from each package purchased and the coupon ONLY needs to be scanned once.
I hope that makes sense.
Thanks for the clarification Collin!
This is a great deal, but not so good for my diet 😉
WOOHOO…didn’t know that! THANKS!!
Crum! I just looked in my 6/6 SS and there were no Jell-O coupons. Odd.
My Jello coupon was a $1/4. Still not a bad deal.
Mine is .50/2, but still a good deal @ .25/box, esp since I make a double batch a week of sugar free for dh & the kids to snack on.
So would the Kit Kat be working too? You could buy 3 Reeses and 3 Kit Kat and 1 of whichever so you are only buying 3 of a certain kind. Don’t know if that would work for some or not?!
worked fine -chicago suburb. there is a sign on both the kit kat and reece cups so tried both and it worked fine. I have a $6 RR to roll into the deal which was nice.
In regards to coupon limits, I’ve had it explained that because a lot of times (especially with back to school items) the coupon price is below typical wholesale prices, they must have that limit. Otherwise, other retailers could come and wipe out all their supplies and sell it themselves. So I’m only rarely seen this as a problem. Only rare occasions when a customer will want like a few hundred of an item and we don’t have enough in stock. So buying 6 jellos instead of the limit of 4 won’t be a big deal.
Very well said Bill….
Not sure if posted yet but last week my mom found the following: Fisher House: Helping military families coupon book contains 9 coupons for bars, syrup, bags. (Locationsto find maybe?: Deca, MCX, NEX, VA Canteen, US Coast Guard, Hershey’s logos below on the front with a father and daughter on the cover). Manufacter coupon for [exp 7/30/10]: Buy 4 Hershey’s or Reese’s 8-packs GET ONE FREE
can you buy the hershey’s kit kat or only Hershey’s Reese’s …
I did it tonight with 4 Reese and 3 Kit Kat, no problems.
Did not work for me in northern VA. RR didn’t print but they had no problem with the in ad coupon limit being 3 and purchasing 7.
The 5RR printed here in NY.
Just did the reese’s deal no problem getting 7 and got $5 RR back, KS
does anyone know how long these things keep? can i stock up for halloween and freeze them or something?
Kit Kats have an expiration date printed on the back of the package…don’t know aout the Reese’s.
Dont freeze them, they will turn white and will melt faster after you take them out. Just keep them in a cool, dry place and they will be fine. Manufactures have already made this years halloween candy, so thats just sitting in a warehouse waiting for October too.
Is this only in certain parts of the country? It was not listed in our Sunday’s ad and the manager of the store didn’t know about it either. They were out of the Reese’s anyways, so I won’t be able to get until they restock. I would like to go back only if it’s here in Ohio. Anyone bought in Ohio?
Another Jello option (which, by the way, my cashier was SO awesome today and did this intentionally for me without me having to hand over the coupons in a certain order)… buy 2 (1.19 each), use BOGO Q first (will deduct 1.09), use in-ad coupon (will deduct .69 for each = 1.39)… so it ends up giving you 20 cents of overage 🙂
does the Jell-o deal include pudding?
Does anyone know if this deal will work since you have to spend $10. If you only buy 7 and use the coupon making your total $6.93 then you didnt meet the $10 amount. Just curious.
RR dollar requirements are always before coupons. If you buy 7 packages at 1.50 each it is 10.50, then the in-ad Q takes it down to 6.93. As far as the catalina machine is concerned, you spent 10.50, so it gives you the 5.00 RR.This is why I love couponing 🙂
