Rite Aid: FREE Contour USB Meter (Plus, $10 in Overage to go Towards Other Items?!)
I guess this week is definitely a week for Rite Aid shopping… I can’t believe all the deals I’ve already posted! And with that being said, here is yet another one. Just check out the email I received from reader, Diane, below:
Rite Aid has a $40.00 coupon on the video values site for a Contour USB meter. They are on sale this week for $29.99. When they scanned all my coupons, the extra $10.00 went towards my other purchases. Great gift for a diabetic friend or family member for FREE plus $10.00 in overage!!!!!!!!!
Now I cannot guarantee that these Contour USB Meters are priced the same at your local Rite Aid or that you’ll get the $10 in overage (to go towards other items in your transaction) if they are. So with that said, make sure to come back and let us know if this awesome deal works for you too!
(Thanks for passing this along, Diane!)

Hi Jennifer I went to my Rite Aid and the deal didn`t go in that store, The meter rang up at $74.00 I gave them $40.00 video coupon and the $4.00 video coupon for spending over $20.00 after copuons I spend $30.00 Ishould have use the $20.00 coupon that was in the Sunday paper . I`am taking it back Tuesday to get my money back thank you Phyllis
my store was ringing at 74.99 as well but they said it was an error. I had a raincheck so they adjusted it and they were fixing it in the store. but i scored $35.01 in overage after using a $5 off $25, $20 Manufacture coupon and $40 VV. Heck of a deal, stocked up on Advil and Tylenol for the family and we are donating our glucose meter to my daughters 10 yr old bff who is diabetic. Here parents will love the new meter.
Hi couponluver…..What do you mean error? You mean its really 29.99? i went to rite aid today and the meter rang up $75.99….bummer. I bought it anyways because it would be a great gift this Christmas for my sister who is diabetic. I used the $40vv and the $20 from sunday newspaper. So i paid $15.99 for it but it would be nicer if it was free! hehe =) If its really $29.99….what should i do?
yes, it is 29.99 until nov 25th….my store still had the 29.99 tag out and it even said so on the tag. The store will need to fix it in their system
My rite aid said that the employees all went to a “coupon class” recently and there are no overages given: it would be coupon fraud! Anyone else heard this?
Hello, Fellow Hip2Savers!! ๐ Over the past week, I have purchased a total of five (5) different gulcose monitors… I have one of each:
1. Bayer Contour USB
2. Bayer Contour ‘standard’
3. Accu-Chek Aviva
4. FreeStyle Freedom Lite
5. FreeStyle Lite
Each one has been opened (by me) and a couple of rebate cards have been pulled out out a couple of UPC codes have been cut off… other than that, all is intact, sealed and brand new. ๐
I would like to donate these to Hip2Save readers who have a need from themselves or a family member. I will pay the shipping costs, as well. ๐
Please email me at chillybear8@yahoo.com to let me know which monitor you would like first, second, third, fourth and fifth. (If someone else has claimed your first choice, I will send your second if I still have it, and so on). ๐
If I receive an email from you, I will email you to let you know if you should be expecting a monitor. ๐ I am planning on a ‘first come, first served’ approach, to be as fair as possible.
Once all five monitors have intended homes, I will post that information on this thread. ๐
Only the Bayer Contour USB monitor remains unclaimed! Please email me at chillybear8@yahoo.com if you are in need of this! ๐
All monitors have found homes. ๐
I have a brand new/unopened Bayer Contour USB as well if anyone is interested.
I am interested in the USB meter.
Well duh they wouldnt take it, you CANT accept a $40 coupon for a $29.99 item, that’s just common sense…I work at Rite Aid and it CAN be adjusted to the value of the product, but you’re NOT going to get that $10 back….
I just went to my local Rite Aid. The monitor Rang up as $74 even though it was on sale for $29.99. I questioned the price and infact it was $29.99. But like you said I wasn’t able to use my $40 off coupon for an item that is only $29.99 even though the site said you can. hmmm so I didn’t purchase the item.
