Yippee! Toys R Us has a hot new deal available through October 16th. Trade in ANY used board game and receive 30% off the price of one Hasbro Board Game. Here’s the best part… you can trade in as many board games as you want! Keep in mind that you only receive one discount coupon per game traded in and the discount is only valid on the day of trade-in. So clean out those closets, gather up those old games, and head to Toys R Us (if you’re in need of old games for trade-in, hit the thrift store).

Wanna make this deal even sweeter?!
Purchase $15 or more of any Hasbro game(s) and get a $5 Dunkin Donuts gift card! You know how I love my coffee, so of course I’m excited about this promo!

Deal Scenario:
Buy 2 of the following games: Monopoly, Sorry or Clue on sale for $7.99 each
Total = $15.98
Trade in 2 board games to give you 30% off each game
Total now = $5.59 per game which = $11.18 for bothwill now cost $5.59
Use 2 $4/1 coupons from the USA Weekend Magazine (not sure what issue?)
Pay $3.18
Get a $5 Dunkin Donuts gift card*
Final Cost FREE + $1.72 moneymaker (when you take into account the gift card!)

*Keep in mind that I am assuming that you will receive the Dunkin Donuts gift card with any $15 game purchase before the 30% off discount and/or coupons. However, I have not actually done the deal scenario, so I cannot confirm this.

And don’t forget the video sale, buy 2 get 1 free. This is when I stock up on the expensive DS and Wii cartridges, it works out to 33% off, no one has a sale like that.

Is that about the lowest the games go for the season? I am buying my son a DS for Christmas and am not sure when is a great deal and when it is not. You are so right—they are EXPENSIVE!!

Wish I had those $4 off coupons. I didn’t receive those:( If anyone has extras they are not going to use, I would be more than happy to take them off your hands;)

I’m thinking the $15 is after the 30% off coupon, since it’s a TRU coupon. So you would need to spend $21.45 on games before the 30% off to have $15 after the discount. I’m guessing the mfg coupons would not count against the $15, assuming the register calculates the $15 and awards the gift card, rather than an over-zealous employee!

When you trade in, you do it at CS and get the coupon (at least thats how it was for my SIL with the baby stuff trade in) Then the coupon took the % off each item (like at BBB) not off the total, so like pp said, you’ll more than likely need 3 games. Not sure on how the GC offer works, I”m assuming its before MQ (and even using MQ at my TRU is more of a pain than WM!!) While it might be a good deal in theory, might not work out as planned 😉

If you need Monopoly coupons email me at roturner@acosta.com. I have 5 sets of 2.

    Thanks!

I was at Toy R Us this weekend and they had TONS of toys and clothes “Take an extra 25% off” which made them around 50-75% off. I am in Austin, TX.

I got the buy one get one free little tikes toys and the nice cashier said let me find you a coupon and took 20% off the total 🙂

The game I turned is was missing a piece or 2. All the clerk did was open the box and briefly (VERY briefly) glanced inside to see there was a game inside. They must expect pieces missing here and there since they know you are turning in a used game.

Anyone know if all the pieces have to be included for this deal on the games ? Thanks

I only had 1 game to trade in, so I got a Clue game for $1.59!
      reg price $17.99
      on sale for $7.99
less 30% off for trade in $5.59
      less $4/1 coupon $1.59!

Wish I had more games to trade in so I could grab some games for Toys for Tots.

Also check boxes of Frosted Flakes cereal! I found coupons for $5 off your total purchase of any combination of hasbro games over 19.99! The box is specially marked on the front and is the 27.5 oz. size.

Collin, I saw this last night in the ad and I’m laughing to myself cause I know how you love your coffee! So, I was just waiting for you to post about this! Thank kiddo! We love you and your coffee addiction! (ok I have one too, so we’re not alone!)

I did this deal today. I bought Clue, Life, and Candyland. Clue and Life were $5.59 each with the trade in of two games. Candyland was $4.99 on sale. I used $4 coupon for Clue. I paid $13.14 and got the $5 Dunkin Donuts gift card. I thought that I could use another $4 coupon for the game Life, but the coupon was only for the 50th anniversary edition. Still, it was a good deal. I could have traded in one more game and got Candyland for less, but my total would have been under $15 and not able to get the gift card.

I just did the deal. I had a toy to return for 24.99, so i returned that i got the B1G1 little tikes toys ( i got 2 toys for $24.99 each). I used a 20% off coupon for one baby item and then i got 2 board games. I didn’t trade anything in but i saved $5 from my 20% off coupon. I used 2 of the $4 off coupons for the games. I had them left over from the printables ones that were available a few weeks back. The register must prompt the cashier to give the DD gift card, because i forgot about it but she gave it to me. So, i paid $3.17 and got a $5 DD card! Win for me!!! Thanks so much!!

Did anyone else but $15 worth of hasbro games and NOT get a DD gift card?? I got a Sorry!, Monopoly & a Clue for a total of 23.97. Used 3 $4 MF coupons and my total was 11.97. It was my last stop of the night and I did not think anything of it until I got driving down the road. 🙁 Would this be something I could call the 800 number for or do I need to go to the store? Thanks for your help 🙂
