The Old Spice was a Black Friday deal, is it still going on? I did this on Saturday and used 2 $1/1 from the PG booklet.
I thought the Old Spice deal was just part of the Gilette deodorant deal.
Yes, this was paired with the Gillette deal last week and I noticed today when in the store that both Old Spice and Gillette deodorants have a shelf tag advertising $4 + 4ECBs. I got a Gillette because I still had a $2 coupon, but the ECB did not generate. I had a raincheck from last week when they were sold out of the Gillette, so I just used that and they forced my ECB, but thought I’d let you all know that YMMV, tag or no tag!
I just noticed that I did not get the extra bucks from the Gilette but it was advertised (and they had taken down all the other Black Friday deals) Guess I will have to eat that $4 since I only spent $1.02 out of pocket and I’m sure it would be a nightmare to try and return or to say I didn’t get my Extra Care Bucks. (and I did not buy this deal earlier so I could not have reached a limit)
That’s what happened to me today but I went right back in the store and they did give me my extra bucks.
Me too. The tags were there, and there was no date on them. The ECB didn’t print, but when I pointed it out they printed off a $4 ECB for me.
I got this deodorant on Thursday, does anyone know if it will work again if you got it “last week”??
The old spice was advertised in our black Friday flyer in San Diego. Don’t know anything about the EOS. Also, Sonicare marked down to $39.99-$10 coupon – $5 off purchase of $25 or more from CVS magic coupon machine -$10 rebate = $15+ tax. Not a bad deal at all! I bought all the freebies I could find in the first transaction and used those ecb’s on the toothbrush!!:)

EOS means Evolution of Smooth. its the name of the lip balm company. Its pretty damn good lip balm! 😀
I did this deal yesterday and used the BOGO Old Spice fresh collection invisible solid coupon from one of the P&G booklets from a while back for this. My store also had TONS of stuff on clearance. Olay facial care, Biore, Nivea everything was marked down to around $3.

I saw both of these last night at my store in Maryland. I picked up the Fiji Old Spice and it smells like the beach!
The EOS lip balm wasn’t advertised with ECB in my store, but I bought it and the $2.99 ECB printed. Also, the Old Spice d.o. had the $4 ECB displayed this week but I didn’t get the ECB for it. I assumd since it was for this week, it would work even though I bought it last week. Guess I will return it. 🙁
The BOGO Q is in the P&G rebate coupon booklet from earlier this year that you may have received in the mail if you participated in the promotion where you sent in receipts showing $50 worth of (pre-coupon) P&G purchases. Some of the Qs from that book are good through Jan./11, so they are still “live.”
Also, there’s a $5 off Olay Regenerist Q in that booklet that can be paired with one of Collin’s other deals this week.
Both of these deals were marked at my Detroit area CVS, however my Old Spice ECBs didn’t print. The cashier had to manually print it for me. Double check your reciepts before you leave.
The Old Spice ECB deal didn’t work today in Fargo, ND. I wanted to try the lip balm deal, too, but I didn’t find it with the chapstick, etc. Perhaps they have it in another area of the store, but I was in a hurry so didn’t have time to hunt.
Ughh. I’m out of town right now and it seems as though I wont be able to get the sunday paper today. 🙁
I really hate using clipping companies too, i just don’t like putting my credit card number online.

They have the signs up here in NY but the ECB didn’t generate but because the sign was up they forced it for me.

ON what isle do you find the EOS? I looked today only had a few minutes to get my deal and leave.
It was in a cardboard display hanging on the side endcap of one of the isles at my store.
They didn’t even have a display w/ the EOS lip balm, so no deal. No luck on the old spice either. Oh well. I did have to pick up hairspray and after buying that, got a 5 dollars off 15 dollars or more good for 3 days only coupon though:)! Used it right away so I wouldn’t forget about it. Yeah!
I got the EOS today in Goose Creek, SC. Sooooo excited since I rolled some of my ECBs from the “Black Friday” deals! 🙂
I work at a CVS in Orlando, FL and this must be just luck, as in someone forgot to take a sale sign down because this was part of our black friday sale and it ended yesterday. Those signs shouldn’t still be up.

The lip balm worked but the Old Spice did not however my cashier forced out a $4 ecb for the Old Spice. This is definitely a YMMV type deal but thanks for the heads up Collin. I love the lip balm.

I work at cvs and we received an email today that the sale signs we received saying the gillette and old spice were free after extra bucks was a misprint. we were then directed to pull those signs and replace them with the correct deal @ $4 each…hth
Went to CVS this evening (before 6pm) and there was a $4 sign on the Old Spice deoderant, but nothing mentioned about ECBs. I didn’t have time to look for the lip balm.
Off topic here: Bought a $150 CVS gift card online for me and one for my mom last night.
Got an email asking me to call them to verify a few things.
I did and they said they would be emailing me the gift card, along with our $30 (each) “bonus” gift card 🙂
So when I went to CVS, I didn’t buy anything (!!!) cuz I forgot to print out the gift card(s)!! LOL!!
Hubby wants things (Breathe Right, Tresseme shampoo, Aleve, and Qtips) that aren’t on sale or don’t have ECBs if I buy them; so I’ll go back this week and get them with the $30 “bonus” card and some of the $25 ECBs I got back after buying all my Friday freebies 🙂

I have a CVS question. In the last month, I have gotten a total of 3 $25.00 gift card with new or transferred perscription.” These came out of the coupon machine. I have used one of these. DO these work like ECBS where I can only use one, or can I use them as long as I have them? The manager said only one, but he was unclear, and a little annoyed I had asked. Nothing has printed on my receipt like the limits reached with ECBs. Just checking if anyone else has ever used more than one??
As long as your prescription is new or transferred you can do again. I once did it 4 times over a 2 month period without any problems.
i actually had 3 of these at one time & used them for 3 different prescriptions at the same time. they split them into 3 seperate transactions & i actually used the gift card i earned from the first transaction to pay the copays on the other 2. Each has a different “code” on the bottom. there is no reason you shouldnt be able to use each one.
Here in Tennessee the ECB’s printed for me on two Old Spice. I also used the BOGO coupon others have spoke about. Love the deals and I am stocking up for Christmas. Thanks so much Collin for all your hard work to help us all save MONEY!!!!!
Went today, EOS was on for the deal however the Old Spice was not. I also couldn’t do the Energizer batteries because here it was $2 off not a Sale of $2.
I did get some great coupons out of the machine $1/2 hersheys matched with the same MQ $1/2 Made for kissess to be $1 a bag, Also, got $1/2 ritz crackerfulls on sale 2 for $5 and stacked a peelie tear pad coupon I grabbed $1/2 any nabisco crackers $1.50 each.

Seacoast, NH-The Old Spice mentioned is good here too. Didn’t look for the Eos though. Andy my CVS is now accepting RA coupons. Don’t know the detail on the latter though as far as limits.
Both worked for me at my CVS in Panama City, FL! The Old Spice deal was marked on the shelf but the ECBs didn’t print out, but they printed them out for me after I pointed out this mistake. The EOS lip balm was not marked, but when price checked it said $2.99 and the 2.99 in ECBs printed out automatically when I purchased it. Loving the deals the week!! 🙂 Thanks Collin!
i could not find the eos lip stuff anywhere in my store! Looked with the makeup and the chapsticks…no luck
I found it in my store hanging on the side of the end of an aisle.
Old Spice was marked $4 sale but no ECB was marked. I scanned also but only saw $4 sale price. Will the scanner show something if an ECB deal is on or any other way to know without trying at register since not marked?
The scanner here never tells if there’s an ECB or not. It only tells the price. So I wouldn’t use that as the determination.
I went this morning to get my Old Spice and the tag was there…however it did not give me my ECB’s. The manager was not happy about the deal and pulled the sign saying it was a mistake. Any thoughts???
What were the dates on the signs? Were they still from last week?
Just went into the cvs store here in ky today to check out this deal and the tags are still there as well as on the gillette….planning out my shopping trip tonight and going to get the deals tomorrow…thanks
EOS worked in MD.
In Fairfax VA, the Old Spice is on sale for $4, but there’s no ECB (and no sign either). When I asked about it, the cashier told me it was last week’s deal. So I guess we don’t have it here. He also didn’t let me return it because I used a $4 ECB to buy it. 🙁 I just wasted $4 ECB.
You can return it later. There is not reson not to return something like that – my cvs lets me do it – you may get a gift card – or return it without a receipt – you will get a gift card and you are doing anything wrong.
The EOS was marked and worked in Southaven, MS ( just south of Memphis, TN) but it was a no go on the Old Spice. It rang up $4 but no EBs and no signage, so I returned it promptly!
the eos did not work in northern CA. & I could not find the old spice on the shelf.
