Oh my Collin did you roll over the turkey on the table on the page for the Walmart sample? It dances and cracked my 3 year old daughter and I up!!!
I hope you realize this medication is not supposed to be for one-time use. Just because you have one instance of heartburn at Thanksgiving does not mean you should take Prilosec. It’s intended for people who have frequent heartburn or acid reflux, as a typical course is one pill a day for 14 days. It basically stops excessive acid being pumped into your stomach, which is a little bit extreme if you don’t have a serious problem. It is NOT intended for immediate relief. If you do end up eating too much turkey (like I do every year) your best bet if you experience heartburn is an antacid like Tums, which I’m sure we all have because of coupons!

I never really understand why they have free samples of Prilosec. I take it every day for reflux issues, unfortunately, but what I was told is that when you start taking it, it takes a few days before you feel relief because it needs to build up in your system. It’s not something you can really just take two of and get any benefit from. On the other hand if you are buying this stuff anyway, why not get a few free samples.
Thank you – my husband is an every day Prilosec user, and keeping samples stashed in his desk at work and in his briefcase ensures he doesn’t get caught without. I noticed CVS has a good ECB on Prilosec 42 ct this week, and I think there’s a $4 IPQ floating around, so it comes out about the same as the generic.
