As soon as I grabbed my first cup of coffee this morning, I wrote up a post about free Thanksgiving cards that you can snag over at TinyPrints.com. After reading the comments on this post, it was clear that many of you took advantage of this deal and even ordered as many as 33 or even 50 cards for free (or just the cost of a stamp)! For this reason, I thought that I would highlight this deal once more to point out that there does not appear to be any limit to the number of free Thanksgiving cards that you can order?!

* Enter the code FREETHX
* You can have the card sent directly to you at no charge or you can opt to have Tiny Prints mail the card directly to the recipient for $0.44 (just the cost of a stamp)!

Thank you so much Colin! I made 3 cards I agree people should not abuse these freebies to prevent others from missing out! We don’t want to discourage companies like tinyprints from these offers. I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night knowing I took advantage and ordered 90 cards!

I ordered a few as well and was not asked to enter my billing info…also got the order confirmation email a little bit later so I assume it went through just fine.
yes, that happened to me as well, I called and they made sure my promo code went through. Hopefully they get someone on that problem and get it fixed. I was freaked out as well

the code was valid when I was working on my cards. I did personalize some but by the time I spent hours on these (15 personalized, with their names & was going to have Tiny Prints send them directly to my family)…took awhile to enter all the addresses….the code was no longer valid!!! hours wasted =(
same here! i don’t think i could sleep anytime soon because as i’m so upset with all the good deals that ended yesterday like old navy, riteaid, borders, etc. so unfortunate that i dont have the ability to enjoy all this.
argh! I feel your pain ladies, I first entered the code 2 hrs ago and it was valid, but after personalizing 9 and then individually entering addresses, the deal had expired! boo. guess the early bird really does get the worm lol lol
Ya, waste of time. That’s the point. After all that work they expect you to go ahead and pay for them. I just wish I had realized that they would expire as soon as 11/19 arrived. I might have been able to get them done sooner.

Not that it matters now but I think the fine print said it expired at midnight on 11/19 which is why starting at around 3am EST it wasn’t working. 🙁 Sorry to those who missed it!
So what does mignight 11/19 mean to them, because midnight is actually a moment of time between two evenings. It could have been taken as being the midnight between 11/19 and 11/20, although they seem to have meant it to be the midnight between 11/18 and 11/19. They should have been more clear.
It was supposed to be midnight coming up later tonight, Friday. They pulled it early due to abuse.
So, I contacted the company and they said that the promotion was supposed to end at the end of today 11/19, but due to “abuse” of the promotion they ended it at the end of 11/18. They wouldn’t even honor their promotion. I wouldn’t recommend using tiny prints.

I was able to order 18 Thanksgiving cards using this code yesterday. After seeing others post about making Christmas cards, I thought I would try it today. According to the live chat person, they removed the code early due to abuse. I guess they really didn’t plan for people to order 50-100 cards. Thank you, Collin, for posting this code. It will be fun to give out Thanksgiving cards for something different.
I’m so glad I stayed up until 11:15 finishing those last night! I just did it on a whim. I was totally planning on doing it today, but I would have been out of luck. Yea! That exp. date IS very confusing!

i was so looking forward to making these! too bad i didnt read the comments first i just went through and created my card just to find out the code expired-i would have loved to get even just 1 card-oh well im sure there will be other deals

the same thing happened to me! spent like 2 hours trying to make a few nice cards to send to my family outta state for Thanksgiving….I called and i had to BEG them to let me have at least 3 cards so my troubles weren’t waisted! my suggestion is to call..the guy told me some people were ordering like 2000 cards so they cancelled the promo code! that makes me so angry that other people have to ruin it for the people who would just like to try to get a new deal!

They should cancel the orders for those tried to get that many cards, not for those of us that ordered acceptible amounts. I “ordered” 33. Shame on the company if they do not honor reasonable orders (and if they do not notify customers that orders are cancelled).
As of right now I still show my order as “printing” on the website. I guess we’ll see if they honor the deal or not within the next few days.
And now I have an email that says the order has been shipped. I am so pleased that the company appears to be honoring orders of a small(er) amount.
In the future, the company really needs to place limitations on free orders.
I knew this would happen. I didn’t even bother making mine when I saw people were abusing it. Not wort going through the effort for the order to get cancelled because people can’t just order a few cards. Greedy and sad 🙁
BTW Collin you are so awesome! I was watching your grocery sopping video. The one when you went to the commisary sp? and things didn’t work out quite as planned… I was so tearing up at the end. Sooo nice to see you actually care so much! Thanks for everything you do!

Ridiculous waste of time! Tiny prints should have put a limit on these cards in the first place, like 20. then people wouldn’t have abused it.

Greg: I do apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused you. Unfortunately due to the mass abuse of this promotion code by the public we were forced to turn it off, and are unable to honor it. At this time we are already so behind that we are not able to accept any more orders regardless of size. Again I and tinyprints do personally apologize.

SO sad I missed this. Created a card put in the code and it eas expired.;( only a day after the post. ;( that was fast.
In my opinion, Tiny Prints abused the code. They are a huge company and understand that many coupon people or people getting a free deal would be excited to do it. Tiny Prints left it up to every customer to decide what was abuse and what wasn’t. So, if someone ordered only 1, that would be ok, but 2,000 maybe not. But, it left every person to decide what was ok to order, 2, or 10 or 50. That isn’t a good way to do business and then to tell every one who calls customer service that people abused it. If they wanted to give a free card away, they shoud have just done it like Shutterfly or Kodak does all the time. Limit it to one per account. Instead they are saying that everyone abused a code that they didn’t limit. You can’t abuse a code that says free. The website even said free cards on it on the top of the page and Collin even called to verify. It said free and allowed you to put in any amount you wanted. I am sure they will be smarter next time instead of having all of the angry people they have now to pull a code and blame it on all the “greedy” people out there, instead of saying…it was our first time with a free code and we didn’t realize the response and had to pull it. I really like Tiny Prints, but they didn’t think this one through and now have tons of people mad after they spent hours creating “free” cards that aren’t free.
I agree completely with your comments. I only decided to go with a higher number of cards after reading that Collin and a couple other people who left comments on this blog had verified with Tiny Prints that 50 cards would be ok. It is Tiny Prints own customer service department that said that 50 cards was fine and set the wheels in motion for large orders by giving such permission and failing to put a limit on the promotion.
Let’s also practice kindness in our comments and remember that everyone’s personal circumstances are different, and not all large orders are driven by greed.
I agree with the fact that Tinyprints cannot tell the public they “abused” a code when there were no limitations attached to it. I hate greed, and there are a lot of greedy people who took advantage of this deal…but it seems pretty elementary to put an offer limit on a coupon code. Poor tinyprints, I am sure that is the last time they will be doing anything like this again.
I think they should def cancel excessive orders… so sad 🙁

Yesterday afternoon.
Vista Prints often has special deals….sometimes free on cards, etc. They limit theirs to a certain amount. I wondered how Tiny Prints could possibly handle all the orders. Too bad they didn’t set a limit and then lots of people could have enjoyed the offer.
i took the kids to the park yesterday afternoon, to take pictures to create my cards, then the code didn’t go through. . . 🙁 Maybe they will have another promotional? Otherwise, my card will just be sitting there! I think the grandparents & aunts & uncles would have liked it!
I despise greediness! People ordering 90 cards in my opinion is absolutely ridiculous! Do you even know 90 people to send Thanksgiving cards to?? When others do this, it messes up the discount or even freebie for others… just wanted to put my 2 cents in there about that…
on the other hand, Im stoked that I was able to use the code yesterday before they took the deal down. Sorry to everyone who is unable to take advantage of the great offer due to others ordering excessive amounts!!
Sadly I agree..Erin.:-( I was so tired with my baby last night, so I couldn’t work on my Thanksgiving cards. It is going to be Joey’s first Thanksgiving, and wanted to put his pictures to show my family,in-laws and friends…well today I’m too late for this deal. 🙁 I only needed like 20.

Ok so my sister just called Customer service, those that ordered the 1 card orders are not getting cancelled…thank goodness!!! the promotion is indeed over, they had one order for 5,000 cards!!! OMG! Anyway they are going to cancel all excessive orders and honor the deal for the nonexcessive orders…what is excessive and what is not she did not detail, however she did indeed confirm I would be getting my thanksgiving card. Yay!!
Really wish I would have read this before I wasted an hour (after having been sick all day) working on these cards…I wanted to order 5, but no way will I now pay $22 for them. Definitely won’t be using Tiny Prints in the future. They should have put restrictions on the code if they weren’t prepared for the inevitable “abuse”.
I can’t believe someone ordered 5000?!?!? I got a shipping conf last night. I assume to keep people happy and no bad PR they will honor most if not all of the orders (except for the crazy ones like 5000–lol)

I was one of the unlucky ones who was doing my order as they were cancelling the promotion. I called the company and was surprised they didn’t offer me at least one free card so that I could at least have a copy of the one Thanksgiving card I spent hours making. I went to Wal Mart and made some unsatisfactory cards and a much less than unsatisfactory experience (it took an hour just to get the “instant” card printed and get someone to ring me up). I emailed Tiny Prints and told them my experience and they are going to reimburse me for one card. I am happy. At least I get one card.
I came back on here just to see if anyone ordered an excessive amount of cards and I see some people did. I ordered 2 because I thought it would be great for the grandparents and I saw it as a special opportunity to send a new photo of the baby. Normally I tell people to STFU when they complain about people being greedy, but 5,000 cards is ridiculous…it did make me laugh though. I hope they offer this again for Xmas, so I can make another card.
Got my order today and the quality of the cards are awesome! very thick card stock. I will definitely use them again because of the nice quality. I’m guessing that they are honoring the code for most people who placed orders that aren’t excessive.

Well, I got SOME of my cards today. I ordered a few of 3 different styles and they sent me one of them. I called them to ask and they don’t know anything where the rest might be…. She did mention the abuse of the promotion which is a real bummer for them. I bet they put limits on them next time. The styIes I didn’t get were for the two sets of Grandparents but luckily my daughter’s teachers will get some because the one style that I did get are ADORABLE and the quality is amazing! I am very impressed and will probably use this company again!
I only ordered 2 to be shipped and 1 to be sent directly to me. I didn’t get mine, which is fine. The other 2 arrived and they were beautiful or so I heard. I’m definitely ordering from this company come Xmas time. Thanks Collin.
i think they are cancelling orders of mroe than one…and duplicate orders because of all the people who orderd a ton of cards …not sure…i ordered one and just got e-mail that it is shipped but not sure how they are going about cancelling orders or even if they are cancelling orders.
Wow, I placed my order on Nov 18, and was shopped to learn that only 1 of my orders is shipping to them today and said that it would be to them in 1 to 5 days.. It said it would be delivered on Nov 22… I guess that read that WRONG. I hope they get them before thanksgiving!

I received half of my order but the envelopes are the wrong size! The cards won’t fit in the envelopes! I feel bad complaining since everything is free but I did e-mail customer service. I haven’t heard back yet. The quality of the cards and envelopes is very nice 🙂
Update: Spoke with customer service today and they will be mailing me the correct envelopes! Wow. So thankful for this freebie. Also received the second part of my order today and they turned out great! 🙂
I received my BEAUTIFUL cards today. They are of a quality that I would pay 1.99 each (esp if they have my daughter’s picture on it. Everyone is going to love their cards tomorrow (I’m handing them out at church).
Collin, I wanted to say THANK YOU for posting this deal! I was able to “adapt” one of the designs and am planning on sending them out as my Christmas cards this year. I just received them today and they are AWESOME! I am so excited to send them out & even more thrilled that they were 100% free! THANKS AGAIN!
Was so excited to send out Thanksgiving cards…. saw that I would receive them Nov 23 and that’s what it showed still today. Did live chat customer service to see what the deal was since it said printing but had a receipt date of Nov 23; they didn’t know what the deal was but later received a confirmation email of shipment and an email stating that they were held up in the Thanksgiving Rush on cards. I’ll receive them Nov 29th… Now I may not end up using 4 cards that I ordered for co-workers, but I’ll still send out the ones I ordered for family since they have photos of the kids on them. Still very grateful for the freebies and will definitely look into using their services again.
Just received the Thanksgiving cards I ordered for the grandparents. They were supposed to be delivered on the 23rd. Oh well . . .they were free, so I can’t complain. They also sent me more cards than I ordered, but less envelopes than I ordered. My order was all messed up!
Mine were guaranteed to arrive by Tuesday but came on Friday. 🙁
I used current photos of my kids, so I can’t just save them for next year. I know it was no OOP, but it was a big chunk of my time.
Got my cards {I had adapted one for Christmas cards} and they are beautiful! Fantastic quality. Thanks so much. I usually don’t do Christmas cards because of the expense, so this has been fun.
