On the Kleenex from Walgreen, I am new at this basically but see the in-store coupon says limit 3. Can you get more than 3 then? Do we only have to use a couple or 3 of the walgreen ad coupons to do this? I’m lost! Thanks for your help

    • melissa

The coupon says limit 3 but in my experience it will take off the difference no matter how many you buy.

    • Heather

I bought six boxes yesterday, and by giving the cashier just one of the in-ad coupons, it took off the full amount for six boxes. The computer doesn’t seem to be imposing a limit, so it may just be up to the cashier. In my experience, unless you are buying in large excess, I’ve never had a Walgreens in-ad coupon limit enforced. Good luck to you!

      • Stephanie

I bought 3 200 count and 3 100 count to make me feel better about it 🙂

  2. Traci

Would Deal Scenario #1 have to be two transactions? The coupon says limit 3, so is that 3 boxes? Sounds like a great deal!!

  3. Amanda

I was thinking the same thing it says limit 3 and at my local Walgreens after the limit is reached the items ring up normal price, and dont deduct anything off 🙁

  4. Barb in Michigan

Sadly, in Metro Detroit, our Walgreens ad says “Limit 3” so the deal is not so sweet here! 🙁

  5. Brandi

If the limit is three at the $1.09 price but you have to buy 4 or more in one transaction to recieve the RR help me understand how this deal works?

  6. Collin

    Hi All,

The in ad coupon above does state limit 3, however, I’ve never had a problem purchasing more than the limit stated on the in ad coupons… I just make sure not to clear the shelves. Also, if you buy 8 packages of Kleenex, you’ll ONLY need to use one in ad coupon–which will deduct the correct amount off each package purchased (regardless of the limit stated). I hope that helps.

    • Britt

Collin, In the first deal scenario coudn’t you also use two $0.50/3 coupons for the three you are paying for?? Making it an even sweeter deal?!! Thanks!

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It only says there is a limit so people won’t try to get tons of the item that is on sale. You only need 1 coupon and it will take off the price for every item you get over the limit as well.

I have a print out (like a coupon) from Walgreens that states:
Buy Kleenex tissure (60 ct or larger) between 11/1/10 & 11/28/10 and save up to $3.00 on a future order with a coupon. Buy 4 & get $1.00 or buy 5 & get $2.00 or buy 6 or more & get $3.00 coupon off your next shopping order. Offer expires 11/28/10.

  9. Qpon Saving Mommas

There are also $1/2 Coupons out. Which is the same price as deal #1 Those coupons came from Walmart

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I think the #1 scenario is incorrect.
If you purchase 8 boxes, with 2 freebies, it would be:
    6 x $1.09 = $6.54 – $3 RR = $.44 each box, which is still good. Is this correct?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You would divide the final cost by 8 boxes not by 6 to get to .22 cents.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

$6.54- $3 RR = $3.54/8 = 44 cent. I was dividing the final cost by 8 boxes. Colin, you might wish to check this scenario out again.

        • Britt

It is because the way its figured in scenario 1 is different from what you calculated, you would hand over the buy 3 get one free coupons first, so they would take off 1.99 (or whatever the regular price is) twice, then you hand over the wags coupon and it will take off for all 8 boxes even the free ones! Hope this helps!

  11. Jessica a

The coupon says limit 3 so can we use more than 1 coupon?

    • Jana

No, like previously mentioned above its YMMV. Some Walgreens will reinforce the limit others will not. USUALLY if you use the one in-ad coupon it deducts the amount for all of the items. HTH 🙂

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

all of the walgreens in my surrounding area will only take off the sale price for the coupon.

  13. klink

My Wags never has more than a few of any item in stock. 🙁 If they have it at all.

  14. KRR

This might be a silly question, but can you use the “buy 3 get one free” coupons WITH the “.50/3” coupon? Since the “free” coupon is for the one box you are getting for free and the other is for the 3 you are buying? I always thought that was how the “free” coupons worked…

    • Britt

I think that would work as well! I posted it above to ask Collin that same question! Usually if you have buy one get one free coupons you can use a money off coupon as well for the item you are not getting free so it should work the same in the scenario! I sure hope so that means Kleenex for $0.09 each! WOO HOO!!

  15. Kathi D.

I avoid our Walgreens like the plague!!! All the cashiers are coupon Naiz’s!! lol. Oh well, I can spend more $$ at Ride-Aid:)

  16. Barb in Michigan

Following up on my earlier post, I just got back from WAGS and the manager told me I could not buy 6 boxes because there was a limit of 3. I asked him if I could buy 3 at the sale price and 3 at the regular price and the answer was no! 🙁

    • Leah

Then how do they expect you to get the RR where you have to buy 4 or more?? Craziness!

  17. Wendy

This is awesome plus through my husbands job I have a discount card which saves another 15% or something.

  18. Ella

So according to the example, my transaction should be cheaper:

    Purchase 8 boxes of Kleenex, 200 ct $2.49 each = $19.92
Use 2 Buy 3 boxes, get 1 free coupons from 11/7 SS (regional coupon)
Use the in-ad coupon which will make each box $1.09 (will deduct $11.20)
    Pay $3.74
    Get back a $3 RR
    Final cost ONLY $0.09 each

Is that correct? So a higher original cost would make a cheaper overall cost?

    • Rachel Durfee

      8 times 1.09 is 8.72 not 11.90

  19. Marsha Ruzicka

    I am soooooo confused

    • louisa

      me too! 🙂

  20. Susan

Anyone know if this happens to be rolling?

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How does one find out the MONTHLY register rewards? Is there a list somewhere, or do you have to look in the store?

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My area didn’t get the buy 3 get one free coupons, so the only ones I have are the 50cents off of 3 coupons. I did the math and it works out to be 59cents each box. Is this a good price or should I hold onto my coupons? Thanks.

    • Shirley

The Kleenex is a national catalina so maybe your grocery store particpates too. My grocery store has it for $1 (110 ct) so $0.33/box after MQ and CAT.

  23. Susan

I live in the Portland area so you can’t present the in-ad coupon (it comes off automatically when you use your Register card). I just bought 6 boxes and it took off $5.40 – sale for ALL 6. $3 RR printed no problem. $1.09 x 6 = $6.54 – (2) $0.50/3 MFQ = $5.54 – $3RR = $2.54 for 6 boxes or 43-cents each! A good price in this season since my house is going through it like crazy.

  24. Debra

I just got back from Wags and bought 6 boxes of Kleenex. When my RR printed (which it did no problem) a coupon for a FREE box of Walgreens Brand Ibuprofen 24 ct or Acetaminophen 24 ct also printed! Yea! Free drugs! I live near Detroit.

    • Aud

      Debra you made me laugh!!

    • Stephanie

Ug! I’m in metro Detroit and my rr did not print. i wonder if i should go back up to the store…

    • Emma

shhhhh Debra… u made us sounds like we’re drug addicts in the detroit area… j/k… just thought i’d send out a hello from w. bloomfield

  25. Emma

wow.. my hubby’s a mgr.. it’s going to be a MM… it seems like u can never have enough kleenexs

  26. Alison

Can someone explain the monthly register rewards to me? I never see anything about it in the ad-nor does it seem to be marked that way at the store. I bought 6 boxes of kleenex today and everything worked except I didn’t get any register rewards. I should have gotten $3 according to this post. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t feel I had any proof of this monthly deal. Where do they come from?

  27. CASSANDRA

I bought 6, the $3 RR printed, but the in-ad discount didn’t come off…of course I didn’t notice that while I was there, so it’s back again tomorrow. gak! ;(

  28. Angela

I didn’t get any RR when I bought my 6 boxes this morning!

  29. Barbie

Just purchased 6 but my store would only give me the $1.09 price on 3 of them–bummer!

  30. ranomayo

I bought 6 but no RR printed. Is there a website or documentation for this Catalina deal. I want to try to get it from the company. Thx!
