    Thanks I got one!
Watch it be a really nice printer too!
My last expensive one lasted less than a year.

    • Heidi S

I picked this up on Black Friday and really like it!

  2. melissa

Make sure you have an extra USB cable (to connect the printer to your computer b/c it doesn’t come with one) Might have dh order me this as I can use it for scanning my rebates rather than him making copies at his job (he always messes my stuff up!)

  3. topchief1

Not wireless, and it’s not huge savings, plus HP printers are never that great. Office depot had last week an epson printer that was wireless and had printing/scanning/copying/fax that was normally $200, on sale for $60. That was a deal.

    • kidsallgone

Still cheaper than replacing a cartridge 🙂

      • topchief1

true. God knows I’ve been stuck buying expensive canon ink for a couple of years. Part of the reason why I bit on this epson was because theres a lot of cheaper generic ink online for it. Another thing to keep in mind that people are saying about this HP one, is that it comes with starter ink, and not full refills.

        • Pam

Epson ink is super expensive and the generics don’t always work for it. I had to return my last generic Epson inks as the little gold markers on the refills were not like the originals and my “all in one” would not accept the refills. Just a warning from someone who has an Epson. Epsons also literally “drink” their ink supply up quickly.

I also have an inexpensive HP deskjet which I love, so I guess it’s all personal opinion. The ink lasts much longer in printing coupons, etc. and my pictures come out beautiful.

  4. kidsallgone

    Got one 🙂
    Thanks Collin 🙂
Figured I’d go ahead and order it and if I started reading bad reviews on here (or online) then I could return it to Walmart and wouldn’t lose out (except for my time).
And figured I couldn’t go wrong since I have to replace my ink cartridges at 50 billion dollars each on my “nice” printer/scanner/copier that I have now. I STILL can’t believe that I have to replace any of the color cartridges in order to use just the black ink! Even when I’m just printing in all black, the customer service people told me that some of the color is also used. And I can’t take out the color cartridges because it won’t print w/out them in there! WTH!!
I was sooooo mad!!! But….now I’m happy! I actually should have bought like 6 of these printers, because that’s still cheaper than buying cartridges! In fact….I’m going to go back now and order some more 🙂
    Thanks Collin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Anyone have this printer?

    • skullsnbows

Is it a HP printer? I recently got an email from HP concerning a settlement about their ink. It mentioned using color ink to print black, and also how the cartridge would indicate no ink long before the cartridge was empty. HP ink is the equivalent of $8000 dollars a gallon, and they have made every attempt from allowing you to buy third party ink by embedding something into their cartridges so that their printers will recognize them, but not third party.

I might still get this printer, though – $20 is cheaper than an ink cartridge. I currently print everything off at work, but sometimes I need to print something *right now* and it would be easier than running by the office.

      • kidsallgone

Yes. My current printer that annoys me with their ink replacement issues is an HP 🙁
        grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

        • melissa

I have an HP printer too and the messages annoy the crap out of me. Seriously 2 days of printing and an error message comes up telling me that I need to replace the ink. The ink is WAY overpriced and if you try to use a generic one it rejects it! Mine won’t even print! If/when I get a ne printer it WON’T be an HP!!!

    • dawn w

my hp printer I have had about 5 yrs, still works fine, paid about $100 for it. The ink is cheap. it flashes error when i take out the color cartridge, but it will let me print coupons without it, even though it is flashing red. However it won’t let me make copies this way. I went ahead and bought this one because the in is only $13.50 (black) to replace

    • Fay

We got one for my son last year and other one for my daughter this year. My son says the printer is okay for printing his school work. This is the same printer they had for their Black Friday Ad because I bought it in the store for $20.00. You are right they do not come with the cord and do not buy one from WalMart. At my Wal Mart they wanted $29.97 for the cord and I ordered a Belkin cord from Amazon for $4.68. Big difference.

  5. Vonda

Sorry…$20 for a printer/COPIER! and the ink is an unbelievable deal! THANK YOU COLLIN!
Our HP has lasted over 5 years and we paid over $40 for it. AGAIN! THANK YOU COLLIN!!

  6. Kristy

That is a great deal! Too bad I dont need a new printer.. i do need ink tho haha

  7. Kelly

wow, what a great deal!!! I just got one. thanks collin! : ) Even if it isn’t the best printer, you got a printer and ink for less than the price of a combo pack of ink! amazing.

  8. kidsallgone

OK, so I went back to order 3 more and it would only let me order 1 more.
I think these would make great gifts for my 2 nephews and my sister.
I’ll just get the 2 and give 1 to me 🙂 and one to my sister 🙂
    Thanks again Collin 🙂

    • fran

Couldn’t you just have them ship the printers to your nephews while still using your credit card? I don’t know for sure, but it’s worth a try!

      • dawn w

I bought 2, had to make seperate orders

  9. CindyaC

Thanks! Just had my two IT guys take a look at it and they said this was a good deal. Got it for my mom to print her coupons etc…

  10. JENNIFER S.

I purchased this on black friday, came home hooked it up to my desktop and my laptop. It has worked wonderfully for me, and the replacement cost is less than my old printer cartridges. Plus it copies and scans! I love it. Just wanted to let those of you that ordered or are thinking about it.

  11. Amanda

Wow this is great, I was just dreading buying new ink for my Lexmark. The ink is so expensive. I think hp ink is much cheaper and maybe it will actually print straight!!! Thanks Collin!

  12. Mandy M.

I also purchased this on black friday! I believe it was a great deal esp. with the ink included!
FYI…you will need a USB cord (not included) since it is not wireless.

    Great Buy!

  13. kidsallgone

Hope it doesn’t look like I’m stalking this comment section LOL!
But after ordering 2 of these, I clicked on the ITEM INFO (I think that’s what it was) and when reading the specs, did I read correctly that it does come w/black and color cartridges, but will only print up to 165 pages???????!!!!!???? OMG!
Can anyone else take a look and see if that’s all the pages that will print with the original cartridges? Thanks!

    • skullsnbows

The standard yield versions yield 190 pages (HP 61 CH561WN Black Ink Cartridge) and 165 pags (HP 61 CH562WN Color Ink Cartridge. The high yield cartridges yield 480 pages (HP 61XL CH563WN Black Ink Cartridge, High Yield) and 330 pages (HP 61XL CH564WN Color Ink Cartridge, High Yield).

      • kidsallgone

I read that on the specs info, but can you interpret? LOL…
Does it mean that when I get this printer home, hook it up, and start printing, that the cartridges won’t print more than 200 pages using the black ink? Sorry so dumb here 🙁

        • Kelly Alvarez

well, you can adjust your printer settings to do “draft” and it will use less ink and thus allow you more pages.

        • Amanda

Not exactly it will print more than 200 pages, but if your printer setting is set on high quality prints then you will only be able to print 165 full pages of text or coupons before you run out of ink.

Go into preferences and change your setting to fast draft quality, then you’ll be able to print many more pages than 165.

          • Amanda

Also remember to buy ink from ink recyclers or ebay, it alot cheaper.

  14. colzie08

Awesome! I just bought almost the same printer @ Target last week for $30 and it doesn’t come with a color cartridge. I didn’t open it yet so I ordered this one and I’m going to take the other one back. Thanks so much Collin!

  15. Andrea

We got one on black friday. I haven’t used it much yet, but it seems to be okay. I’m wondering whether to buy one now just for the replacement inks. As someone noted it does not come with a USB cord. Luckily we had one from the scanner it was replacing.

  16. kimberly

I really need ink, have been putting off buying it for weeks now because it’ll be $50. So I can get this and save $30. The only things I really print are coupons, so as long as it’s OK, I’m happy. And the printer I have is an old HP that my parents bought for me when I went off to college, 11 years ago!

  17. Amy Gull

Are these Walmart deals only a one day thing? The other day I bought two new ink cartridges and it cost me about $47! I’ve haven’t opened them yet so I’m totally going to return them and do this deal instead. I’m excited it has a scanner and can copy too! Thanks so much Collin for all your hard work!

    • Anonymous

Don’t buy your ink at Walmart, Amazon is MUCH cheaper or get your refills at Walgreens if they take the catridge model!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        Ebay

  18. Jennifer A.

Just ordered this! I love that there is free shipping…always a plus! My husband and I have been printing our coupons at work so this is going to be GREAT! Thanks Collin 🙂

  19. lisa

    THANKS!

    I picked one up!!!

  20. rebecca

I have an HP printer scanner copier that I got 5 years ago and it is still going strong. I haven’t had color in it for about three years and it still prints..but it doesn’t print the water marks on my coupons. Basically based in my experience with my own printer I would recommend it. And I always refill my cartridges at Walgreens for cheap.

  21. ranomayo

You can get 5% back from shopathome.com – the Cyber Monday deals. I got one for my mom to print coupons and saved the tax money with the cashback. Thanks Collin!

    • kidsallgone

      geez!
      4got again…as usual 🙁

    • anna

The replacement cartridge is only $13.50 at Walmart.com.

And to the person worried about getting so FEW pages from the cartridge that comes with the printer, ALL PRINT CARTRIDGES THAT SHIP WITH YOUR NEW PRINTER (regardless of the brand), HAVE A PROTO-TYPE CARTRIDGE. Proto-type cartridges contain less ink that the replacement cartridges you will buy in the future. That’s why people sell them on Ebay for the same price as the replacement ones … but they do NOT tell you that is what you are buying. They are usually listed as “no box”, just the plastic packaging…. because that’s how they arrive with your new printer. Just packaging … no box.

Collin, you should add this info with the printer post so people will be aware. Also, the part about it does NOT come with a USB cable.

Good printer though. I have 2 of these.

  22. Amanda S.

Yay! I just picked up one. I went thru Upromise and will be getting 1% back, not much but anything helps. I also checked on the ink prices and the black ink is listed for $13.97 which is $1 cheaper than what I currently use, and we all know how far $1 will go with Collin’s help. 🙂

  23. Sandra

Although this may look like a great deal, I wouldn’t recommend getting an HP printer. The quality is terrible and not worth any amount of money.

    • anna

I disagree. I own 5 HP printers and they’re great. One is 8 years old and still spittin’ out the pages like a champ!

    • Krystal

I’ve had my HP for probably close to 5-6 years, still works great and I don’t want to replace it, but $20 for a printer with ink…I know my b/f is mad with his Lexmark b/c it eats up the ink like crazy.

  24. Lydia R.

WOO HOO! Thanks for posting this Collin. My brother needs a printer so what a great Christmas gift for him. He just needs it for printing out airline confirmations and other random things, so this is perfect for him. You rock! 🙂

  25. Anika

I just ordered one too. I bought a HP printer/copier/scanner 2 years ago at Walmart for $30 and it still works great. But this one is such a great deal, that I couldn’t resist it 🙂 Thanks Collin!

  26. BuddysPal

I can only tell you my experience with a similar HP printer — the Deskjet F2430. I was soooo excited that the printer was so cheap ($30 through Walmart) and came with a black cartridge & a tri-color cartridge. The printer works very well for an inexpensive printer — no complaints there. But, wow, the cartridges went reeeal fast! And they are not refillable at Walgreen’s. (Uses #60 cartridges.) I only print coupons and the occasional rebate form. I was CRUSHED that I had to replace the cartridges so soon — I think I only got 150 pages of coupons — average may have been two coupons per page. (It may be a stretch to say I got 200 pages… but no more.) I “broke the budget” to get a deal on 60XL cartridges — they are supposed to print 3 times the “regular” cartridge. One did — and I was OK with that. (It printed about 600 pages with average two coupons per page.) The second — same size — did not. I only got about 150 pages! I complained to HP and they replaced it. BUT, that one (replacement) only printed about 150 pages — maybe 200 — pages, but so many of those pages only had one coupon on them.

So, now I am sitting here with the “low ink” light on and wondering what to do next. I’m thinking I would have been better off to sink that original $30 into repairing my old All-in-One HP printer that uses bigger cartridges and lasted so much longer — and are refillable at Wag’s!

In my frantic searching to buy those cartridges, I learned HP has become a company that manufactures cheap printers and then stays afloat selling expensive ink for them. Not unlike other companies, no doubt.

I don’t know if I can refill these cartridges myself — that’s the option I am going to explore now… Then, I will see about fixing my old PSC (All-in-One)…

I wish I had been a part of that lawsuit someone mentioned above. !!!

    Again, not the same printer……

    • anna

All printers come with “STARTER” cartridges. This is NOT the same thing as a replacement cartridge!!!!!!!

    • Heidi Leigh

I have one that uses 60 as well. =(. I hate forking over money for a new cartridge but the one I have now has lasted a while because I have stopped printing so many coupons because lots started going to waste. I bought the 60 XL and that was about 5 months ago and I’m just now getting low on ink. Do you cancel the print job after the coupon so that all that extra junk is not printed on it? (the extra messages, etc. that print with some coupons). That has saved me a LOT of ink!

  27. TINA STEVENS

Sorry off this topic, I need help with Target deal, Does anyone have a printable coupon for furniture at target, they have a gaming chair on sale for 120 and I would like to save some more if I could.

Would much appreciate any help with this or ideas, Thank you for your time,
Have a happy holiday season 🙂

  28. Pamela

I bought this in store at Walmart during Black Friday for 20 dollars and this will be for my MIL’s Christmas. Plus I have this same printer at my home and am liking this printer with two cartridge. Thanks for head up on this good deal! 🙂

  29. Sam

I need a cheap printer with cheap ink! I have an Epson and that sucks up ink like no other!!!! I just wish, I could just buy a black and white printer with no colors, so I can just print off my coupons!

    • kidsallgone

The Brother #???? printer that Collin (?) posted about last week was $50 at Staples, regular price $120. I waited too long to snag that one up 🙁 It just had black ink. I’ll probably try to get it when I see it that price again.

  30. Kimberly Harris

Got one for my daughter that is in college, she is out of ink and I figured this was better then replaceing her ink cartridge. Thanks so much for the post!!!

  31. Kate

Thanks I got one! I was searching for info on cartridge replacement and on ebay you can get them cheaper for the HP 61XL black. Much better than my Epson printer that I am buying small black ink cartridges at $12.99 @ Target (can’t really find it cheaper elsewhere) . So I think I will give the other printer to my son and I will use this one for coupon printing. And draft printing on the Epson is barely readable—I had a HP before and liked it but it broke down and I went cheap with the Epson and have regretted for a few months now. I was just waiting for a wonderful deal to be posted. I hope this is it! 🙂

  32. Jacquelyn

Laser Printer, ladies!! Get a laser printer! So much more efficient in the long run!! Will pay for itself in the first month of use and print coupons on the same cartridge for a year.

  33. Jennie

Thanks Collin…I have had HP printers in the past and have been very pleased!!!! I can’t believe the printer comes with ink included…..luckily, I have a USB cord on hand!

  34. Mona

I have had an HP Deskjet for about two years and it is still running and has been great. I buy Office Depot’s generic refills and they work just great. I bought this one because it scans and I would like this feature. Thanks for the information on this dea.. When printing coupons I do try to bail out of the print before all the advertising matter starts to print and it really saves on the ink because a lot of this is in heavy color. Thanks again.

  35. Amy White

I also bought this same printer at the black friday sale. I like it! I have had no problems with it so far. As for the ink, I will try to refill it myself to save some money. That’s what I did with my previous printer. Only thing is you cant refill them but about 3 or 4 times before having to replace the whole cartridge.

  36. A_Bailey

Anyone know if this deal is just for today?

  37. Susan

just got mine!! thanks ! 🙂

  38. Catherine

Ordered 2 they made me do it separately though. Thanks. Another Christmas present taken care of and a back up printer for me, because mine is acting funky! 😀

  39. Agnes

OMG! I was just going to look for some inexpensive printer for my cusin to print me more coupons YAY! I immidietly ordered one and I have a christmas gift problem solved and some more coupons for my deals in the future YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!

  40. Meg0608

I was in dire need of a printer because I could not print any coupons on my old one, so I ordered this online on Black Friday and received it last Tuesday. I’ve been printing every day and it works great. I even printed some pictures for some frames I got on Black Friday and they turned out surprisingly well.

  41. A_Bailey

Just updating that they are now out of stock

  42. Emily

Sad, I missed this one and we really need a new printer, too! I wonder if this deal will come around again? Let us know if it does, please Collin! 🙂

  43. Krystal

Fedex just dropped mine off…now…what to do with it. 😛

  44. Stephanie

I got my printer today and I’m a little disappointed because it WON’T PRINT!! I installed the software and did everything I was supposed to do and it’s printing the alignment page but it won’t print anything else. I’m a little frustrated. I tried printing the coupon for the smart ones and nothing happened so I tried again and still nothing happened and now it’s saying I’ve reached my print limit. Is anyone else having this problem?

    • Sara

Are you sure the printer is set as the default printer? Go do Start> Control Panel> Printer then right click on the printer icon and select “default printer.” Not sure if that’s the problem, but that’s what happened with me recently.

      • Stephanie

I tried just about everything I can think. I even installed the software to my laptop and tried that way to see if maybe it was just my desktop that was having a problem and still nothing. I’m thinking it may have just gotten damaged during shipping so I’m going to return it and get another. It’s a really nice looking printer so hopefully the next one works.

        • Stephanie

Nevermind! My husband got it to work. I still have no idea what I was doing wrong. Anyways, it’s awesome. I’ve been printing coupons all morning 🙂

  45. Rose

Do not buy this printer. The cartridge is not refillable. Even if you fill it until the ink pours out, it still will not print. Buying a new cartridge, for 12-15$ does not work either. You’ll only get about 100 pages before it stops working. It comes out to about .10-.15 cents a page. I have found no way to re-set the ink level or disable the ink level warning.
Lexmark never gave me 1% of the trouble this hp 2050 did.

Im going to look into the class action lawsuit.

  46. Diane D

Love this new $20.00 printer!!! Had so much fun scanning some old photos into the computer! Thank you so much for sharing this deal!!!
