    thanks!

  2. Eunsil

I know it might be sort of dumb to ask, but can I use a coupon that has higher value than the product’s price? I mean the coupon value is $5 and that game is $4.99,that is less than $5.. Sorry I’m still new to couponing. ๐Ÿ˜€

    • Jana

Target’s policy is that they are supposed to adjust the coupon down ๐Ÿ™‚ HTH

    • tgebbeken

Printout the policy and take it with you should any problems arise. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • melissa

yes. At Target, their registers will auto-adjust to the price of the item. I know for a while, they had some issues, but seems the kinks have been fixed, at least at my local store. (for instance, if you had a $1 off 3 coupon and each item was .88, the computer would deduct .88, not recognizing the total value of the 3 items were $2.64)

      • Eunsil

Wow, thank you so much ladies! ๐Ÿ˜€ Looks like my friend’s daughter is getting more gift this X-mas! ๐Ÿ˜€ (it’s going to be my baby boy’s first X-mas, so he’s too young to play with this) I’m going to Target this afternoon, to get Suave shampoo, it is 99cents now, and I have $1 off coupon..I’m a little nervous though, unfortunately our local Target cashiers are NOT aware of their coupon policy…have a wonderful weekend everyone!! ๐Ÿ˜€

        • Latasha

My Target cashier today told me that there is a new policy that says they can’t adjust the price of the coupons because they aren’t getting reimbursed for the coupons. I told the cashier that I hadn’t heard this and showed her my freshly printed out copy of the policy (I couldn’t find the one I had so I printed one out last night). She refused to accept a $1.00 coupon for my $.97 item.
          Anyone else heard this?

          • Eunsil

Latasha..that’s just strange! I’m just back from Target. I got one Suave shampoo 15oz, and it was on sale for 92 cents. With $1 off Target coupon, I could snag it for free. However, they only allowed me to use one coupon…By the way, I do not like my local target. When I give them bunch of coupons, they seem frustrated. I love CVS most..they’re always super friendly.

          • paulemay

The cashier is making things up!!!!! Hubbie works for Target and he would be one of the first (at store level) to know if there was a change to the coupon policy. And with me being the coupon shopper that I am, he would tell me as soon as he got word ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Angel

Does anyone know if walmart sales these?

  4. TD

I am loving all these free stocking stuffer for my niece and nephew.

  5. Geraldine

    thanks! must go to target!

  6. Jaime

    thanks

  7. Stephanie M

I think these are like .50 more at walmart if my memory serves me right. I remember getting some last christmas for almost nothing.

  8. Darlene

The coupon is not in the SS in Georgia.

    • CJ

Not here in St Louis MO either.

    • audrey

Not listed on any of the inserts i looked at.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        Not in South Florida

        • Jennifer

          not in NH either!

    • Alicia

      Not in Texas either ๐Ÿ™

  9. kara

I went to Walmart last night and they have these coupons and a $3 off of a Bop It and 2 other games on tear pads. You could go get the coupons and then use at target and score tons of these free ones and good deals on the others.

    • Tiffany martinez

Where at walmart did you find the tear pads? TIA

  10. Emily

There’s also a coupon for 5 off any Pictureka game, which makes the pictureka card games free! ๐Ÿ™‚
Aww, I just went to CVS, and a fellow couponer bought diapers, and other p&g items for the p&g deal, and after she got her EB, she saw a lady buying really cheap diapers, and she said “Oh, I don’t even have a baby, I don’t need these diapers.” and gave the Pampers to the lady behind her! That just broke my heart, it was so nice. I really want to start doing that now! I buy so much toothpaste, and body wash, and other things that I don’t need in my stockpile, and now I want to give it away! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Angie

Where did you find the Pictureka game coupon?? TIA

      • Emily

it’s in the 12/5 SS, but I got it delivered! ๐Ÿ™‚

        • Angie

Ohh ok! thanks!! Do the coupons vary if you get it delivered rather than buying it at the store??

          • Emily

Most of the times, it’s the same coupons ! ๐Ÿ™‚
You can even get them delivered later, the day after, call your local paper, and if they have any leftover coupon inserts, you can get them MUCH cheaper! ๐Ÿ™‚ hth!

    • Meridith

That is awesome! Thanks for sharing that story!

    • sarah k

Where is this Pictureka game located in the store? same area as the hungry hippos-the x-mas seasonal isle , or is it in the toy/game section???…I have never heard of this game, so I’m not sure….Thank you!

      • Laury

The Pictureka game is a card game hanging up in the game section of the store.

    • Dawn
    • Dawn

@ Emily, I donate some of my stockpile & good deals to my daughters school for food drives & to the food banks, I feel so blessed to be able to “pay it forward”. I actually give some people coupons in the store if I have something they can use ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. muser

Hungry Hungry Hippos Travel game? That sounds like a parents worst nightmare! ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Amanda C.

I thought so at first too, til I got it last year and there is a cover on it so the lil balls can’t fall out. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Michelle

I LOVE it! MY kids are 2 and 4 and the little balls stay put! Its the best! If I get the real game down its a nightmare, lol.

  12. Tracy

I know free is fun, but just in case anyone was curious, this game is super lame. We have it (because I got it free last year!) and it hardly works and is just junk. But, like I said, I understand the need to stocking stuffers and saving money so do what you want…just throwing it out there ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Eunsil

Uh oh…thanks for the post. I’ll avoid giving this to our friend’s daughter then…I don’t want to give a junkie as a gift!!

    • Leslie

I totally agree with the above comment. I have the travel game and it is hard for more than one to play. I bought the full size game this year and hope it will be better.

    • Michelle M

I have this game, and I think it’s great for toddlers. My kids are 4 and 2 years old, and they LOVE it! My favorite part is that the balls are all enclosed inside the game, so I don’t have to worry about losing any. I can see why older kids would get bored, but for younger ones it works very well. We’ve even given it to friends at birthday parties (from stocking up last year).

  13. Angie

My target (WJ, Utah)always gives me trouble about using these coupons for travel size games. When it beeps, they tell me it’s for the full size version. It’s so frustrating because it’s working for everyone else!

    • Michelle M

Well, it beeps for everyone else, too, but most cashiers just accept the coupon anyway. Sorry you have trouble with it.

    • paulemay

Which Target are you going to?? Jordan Landing or 70th & Redwood?

  14. Sarah

I was going to buy this online. Thanks so much for the info. I might brave the snow and the people to go to Target tomorrow.

  15. Olivia

My son has this game and loves it!!but note he’s was only 3 when he was in love with it. atm he’s 4 and due to rotating toys he hasn’t seen it for a few months now.

I’m trying to figure out how may papers to buy just for this coupon tomorrow lol.

  16. Cindy

Where is the stocking stuffer area? Is that with the dollar items at the front of the store, or is it in the Christmas section? I remember trying to find this game last year and having no luck trying to find it in the games section.

    • Shelly T.

Look in the travel section by luggage etc. That is where I found it last year.

      • Hazel

My Target has the Christmas section next to the candy aisle and I saw these games mixed in with the candy.

    • paulemay

They have it in the seasonal/holiday section, with all the Christmas candy etc.

  17. Stacy W

My Target has become horrible with coupons lately. It takes forever to check out because they scan through your entire purchase before they scan coupon to make sure you bought the item. They will not let you use these coupons on travel games and insist it is only for the full size game.

  18. Olivia

where do you find out if your local newspaper is going to have which coupons? thanks:)

  19. Jennifer

what is the S/S? Sorry i am new to couponing! Thanks!

    • Meredith

SS = Smart Source coupon insert that comes in the Sunday paper

    • audrey

I looked at another website that has the listing of the SS inserts and do not see this one listed at all. May just be regional.

  20. alyn7737

I wish more people would give some of their stockpiles to the local food pantries. That’s one of the reasons I got started couponing. I had to have help from food pantries for a short time. Unfortunatly, people seem to “give” the things in their cupboards that are expired, no good, or something they would never use themselves but happened to come across while cleaning it out, it seems as though they have the idea that “beggers can’t be choosers.” People that need food pantry items are real people, they aren’t just lazy, good for nothing, “wanting a hand-out” people, they have children (just like us) and they have feelings.

    • randi

i do not give to our local food pantry! but i give alot of my extra to freinds and family that need it! as far as the expired stuff goes! if its something they where not using in the first place donate it before it expires! although i have no problem using expired things, as a matter of fact i am using expired toothpaste and its just fine!

    • Sarah

I’m sorry you had a bad experience. I think a lot of couponers do give back. My church has a food bank, and since I’ve started couponing I am able to take a bag of food and personal items (we’ve also adopted several families for the holidays) to donate.

  21. Paula

Just got the paper and it’s not in my St Louis SS version either. We have the game and the girls use it for their dolls to play. That avoids the “it doesn’t work well” issue.

  22. Amy

Went tonight and scored 5 Pictureka card games and 8 travel Hungry Hippo games to add to my donation pile. (only had to pay sales tax!) It feels great being able to help others. Thanks, Colin!!!

  23. DP

FYI I went to Target today, and they wouldn’t take my TQ for the sleepwear because I couldn’t use it on sale items! This is the first time I have had a problem, and they said “we can’t because then you would get them for like $3” ummm yess..They also tried to refuse 1 TQ and 1 MC on Tums..She said she would only take 1 coupon because then I would be getting it free. I told her the policy and the manager agreed with her and I called Corporate and they were no help either! They said it was up to a manager if the Q didn’t scan! I am so angry at Target right now I could scream…The manager told me “you people don’t listen”! I would write Corporate but it does no good..Disgusted.

    • Erin

I went to Target last week, 4th Pl in Vanc. WA, my PJs coupon didn’t scan either and the young man called the manager over and she told him to just enter it, that they had been having trouble scanning printed coupons…I’m sorry you had soo much trouble ๐Ÿ™ How awful!!! I <3 my area, I have 1/2 a dzn stores to visit all w/in 15 mins of each other if one was being troublemsome I'd have 5 others to visit! How awful!

  24. Kelly K

My Target will not allow these type coupons for the travel size games. Must be the full size game. So sad.

  25. melissa

Is anyone from or near Dayton Ohio? I looked and looked for this game last year and couldn’t find it. If anyone shops at Dayton Mall,Beavercreek Mall,Feedwire or Huber could you please let me know where in the store you found it? TIA!!!

  26. casie

Hey lady, just letting you know if you have a family dollar by you they carry the travel game ands its $5.

    • melissa

TYVM for the heads up! Now I wont have to walk all around Target looking for it. TY!!

  27. Kim

I got my SS today in my free subscription to the Wall Street Journal. I went to Target tonight and bought the game with no problem. It didn’t beep or bring up the screen that says coupon not for item(s) listed etc. I just wanted to let you all know.

  28. jenny

Gave it to my son last year and he loves it! ME too- no balls falling out anywhere! Its great for hand eye coordination- do you remember how hard the old time was to push down? This isnt at all- Overall a great deal=)

  29. Teresa

I went this morning and picked up 5. Had no problems and no beeps, went right through. The male cashier didn’t even bat an eye. I also received all the overage on my coupons too. My total was 94.96 and I was able to get it down to 19.38

  30. pschmigel72

Sorry to sound so stupid but it says it is in the 12/5 SS, what is the SS. Is that the Sunday Paper?

    • Teresa

SS stands for smart source coupon insert. It should be in there with 3 other game coupons.

  31. Susan

Not in the Portland Maine paper either ๐Ÿ™

  32. cmhodae

No hasbro coupons in the Tampa Bay area in FL. ๐Ÿ™ Usually we get them around this time of year so not sure what is going on. ??

  33. constantly55

this is not in my SS in Toledo,OH……….bummed!

  34. Rebecca

I know my son LOVES this travel hippo game… I was thinking of getting as many games for free as I can and donating them to toys for tots or something nice like that… we LOVE being able to giveback during the holiday season (and the rest of the year, thanks to couponing!)

  35. Brittney

Does anyone know can we print this somewhere the full size game is the only thing my nephew asked for but i have been holding off cause i was hoping to find a better deal and the coupons didn’t come in our paper, any help is greatful ๐Ÿ™‚

  36. michele

  37. cboogie

  38. Jennifer

Got mine at Target this morning. It didn’t even beep when the cashier scanned the coupon…just took $5 off for the $4.99 travel game–MONEYMAKER! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  39. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You can use one of these coupons from the SS to score the Pictureka card game at Walmart for free. You can also score the Hungry Hippos game there for .24.

    • tanya

where are they located in walmart? target is too far of a drive for me. thanks.

  40. Betsy

Look for the travel size battleship too using a coupon from the same set of inserts.

    • Amy

The coupon states “U-Build Battleship” so it won’t work on the travel size game. I saw them in the siocking stuffer area and got excited until I read the fine print. :0(

      • Theresa

I used it for the travel battle ship. The coupon went through fine. It didn’t even beep.

        • Daniela

The coupon worked for me too. I got 2 battleships and two HH for free. No problem for me at Target, at least no today.

  41. Jen

Not in the SS in Sunrise, FL either ๐Ÿ™

  42. Brianna

    Not in Vegas.

  43. Shannon

Coupon does not appear in my SS section of the newspaper- Naples, FL

  45. Christina

Sad wasn’t in my paper either Denver,CO

  46. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I still have about 10 Hungry Hippo travel games from last year. I don’t know how many I collected but Hasbro put out many more coupons for items last year than this year. I got the coupons in my SS. Not sure I will use them or not or given them away.

  47. Brooke

Was really looking forward to this coupon, and I didnt get it in TN either. So sad, my kids have been asking for this game and I was going to get it, since it was going to be free. Is there anywhere to print this coupon????

  48. TERESITA BABCOCK

    Not in Utah either. Boo!
