Walgreens Deals 1/2-1/8
As most of you know, Walgreens released a corporate coupon policy a couple months ago… finally! You can view the policy here. Be sure to print a copy and bring it with you when you shop in case any issues should arise. You can also now print Walgreens Instant Value Coupons online here. *NOTE: If you can find the monthly coupon booklet in-store, save your printer ink. (Thanks, Rose Knows Coupons!)

Have questions about Walgreens?
Check out my Walgreens Store Guide post!
I just got back from Wags. My store took the $5 store coupon and the $2 printable coupon for the Chrildren’s Homeopathic. I didnt even present the store coupon, since others had mentioned their stores weren’t accepting them, but my cashier offered it. So, I ended up making $7 off of each box, and got the free Breathe Right strips for each box. This ended up a killer deal for me!
Where is the link to the $5 coupon?
The $5 coupon is in the monthly Wags booklet. You can find the book at the front of the store usually underneath their fliers. HTH
Yep – me too – 7.00 money maker – no beeping! Loved it – 2 deals
My wags didn’t even carry the finesse. Oh well, got some cheap pantene.
Every coupon beeped for me this morning. Didn’t get the $5 flu medicine to go through. Also I didn’t get the RR for the advil. My coupons wouldn’t go through and she put them in manually at $1 a piece. Does anyone know what I can do to get the $5 catalina??
you should had ask the manager for a form to fill up and send it by mail, to get either your money back or a catalina coupon.
I didn’t realize it until I left. I was so flustered because it was taking so long and everything was beeping!! I haven’t been doing this very long, so I am still learning!! Thanks for the help.
You can call the Catalina company and tell them that you didn’t receive your coupon. You will have to tell them the item it was suppose to be given for and they will verify it. I had to do this one time and they sent me the coupon a few weeks later. I think there is a number for them on here somewhere. I don’t remember where though.
I just came back from Wags and they wouldn’t take the $4 off coupon for the airwicks. They said they couldn’t reduce down the coupon because there isn’t anywhere to write in the price or change the price of the item. Did anybody else have this problem or is just my store?
that coupon listed is not for the compacts so it is good that they are not taking it, the 3$ coupon at that same website is for the compacts
I use this coupon all the time they go on 50% off. But every cashier is diffrent. Some will say they cant use it but the manager usually will say yes. I have had some reduce it and some do not. I know its crazy no consistency at wallgreens but you can still grab good deels! try to not get fustrated. Their will always be other great deels!
Print a copy of the Walgreesncoupon policy that says they do reduce coupons.
I know there policy and understand they can reduce coupons but coupons should be used for the product that is on them and the compact is not listed on this $4 coupon it is for another item not compact
went to a Walgreens in Oswego, IL at 10am and there were no more Finish dishwashing detergents left. The lady said that all the Wags in Oswego (which is a total of 5) sold out within in seconds of opening!!! bummer. Hopefully I’ll be able to get back right when the restock later this week, if they do at all.
Me too,I went out at a little after 8 am to Yorkville , I made my way around thru Oswego and Aurora and No. Aurora . And found NONE!They are all within 5-10 min of my house-I don’t think ANY had hardly any to begin with. I guess they are saying they will be getting some in on Tues. Wish they would be prepared! Lots of sad customers I’m sure!
anything that is ever a good deal at my walgreens is never in stock. i dont even waste my time going there usually :/
Has anyone actually seen the Atkins $1.50 coupon in this weeks inserts? I don’t see it in mine – am I missing it?
I think the Oscillococcinum is generating a coupon for free Breath Right nasal strips 10 or 12 ct only, up to $7.49. I’ll have to try the $5 Wags coupon- I saw it today, but didn’t want to push my luck without the aid of my favorite cashier. 😉
And look inside of your Omega factor 3 boxes- there’s a coupon for $3 off, so it turns into a $3 MM after the coupon. (I read this in the comments section of another couponing website.)
Ottawa has NO Omega factor 3. They said they did not get their shipment. MMMMM . I will look in Morris tomarrow – thanks for the heads up on the 3.00 coupon too! All you guys ROCK!
When I opened my Omega 3 box, there was a coupon for $3 off another Omega 3 product!
Great shopping at Wags. I got 5 of the Finish automatic dish washing detergent! I also go lots more but won’t go in to detail. I just wanted the Finish. Great week for coupons!
just got back from Wags… had some great unadvertised deals! Loreal lip gloss was on clearance for 2.59..used $2/1 Loreal coupon, select John Freida Root Awakening on clearance for $1.69, used 2 – $2/1 coupons (printables), plus a coupon for $1/1 on the product, select Nexxus on clearance for $2.69, used $3/1 (got on the mail from Nexxus) , Woohoo! total $0.35 :O)
Bummer… I bought 4 boxes of 24 count Advil and did not get the $3 RR 🙁
will the $5 coupon in the january walgreens book work on this?!
Children’s Oscillococcinum Homeopathic Flu Medicine 6 ct $8.99 = $8.99 RR
yes it does work!
Not at my Wags! Very rough night everthing beeped, no finish, no jet dry and the cashier wouldn’t take the oscillo $5 coupon because it didn’t say childrens was included. “If it doesn’t say it is included than it is not”
I bought one 20 pack of electrasol for $3.49 and used the coupon but no RR. The ad did not show this. Did anyone else have any luck with this deal?
You might want to take your receipt back in and ask if the manager will print you one, page 5 of the ad shows that you get a 1.50 RR with the 20-pack Electrasol (Electrasol/Finish is pictured) or 8.45 oz Jet-Dry.
Sale prices differentiate by region. A manager cannot just print out a RR for an Item that does not have one.
I live in a WAGS test area (Portland) where you use a walgreens card for the deal and there’s no register reward for this area on the Electrosol.
Portland walgreens ad does not show a RR with the electrasol
Oh no. I hope they’re not going to switch to cards like Rite Aid and CVS. Then I won’t be able to do the deals as many times as I want. 🙁
The Finish/Electrosol Dishwashing soap states 1 transaction only. However, if you break your muliple soap boxes into different orders, you will still get the proper RR.
My dish soap coupons say Finish on them not electrasol…. Can I still use them? is it the same thing?
Electrasol has been in the process of changing their name to “Finish” since last year. The item pictured in the ad is a box that says “Finish” large, but also says “Electrasol” on it. You should be able to use it.
My $2 Advil coupons say it is only good for 40 ct or more… Is it bad karma if I just give it to them and hope they don’t notice/it doesn’t beep?
Yes, you need to follow the wording on the coupons.
Hi… I went to WAGs today and got the deal on Nivea Men’s Arctic Freeze Aftershave. It was on sale 3.99 with a $3 RR. It was in its own seperate display in cosmetics area with a stack of $1off coupons (its a new product i guess)… So that made it free. Keep your eyes open ya might just score one =)
I printed out the $2 Advil coupon, and it was not recognized at all by Walgreens. They wouldn’t take any of them. Anyone else have that problem?
They also managed to completely mess up my order, so it could have just been their error.
Yes I had the same problem, but my cashier pushed them through
I’ve always wanted to try the Electrasol products, but I thought they were too pricey. Now I can get 2 boxes, and make a little money on them. Yay! I clipped out the part of the Wags ad this week that details the $1.50 RR for Electrasol products, and will be sure to check and see if I get the RR. My Wags is amazing- always allowing me to exchange things if I get the wrong thing, or giving me a refund if the sale price doesn’t ring up correctly. It’s usually only $1 or $2, but the manager says, “Hey- I’d go back and get the refund!”
The deal below won’t work. The BOGO free is only for the Nature Made Heart Health line. The Vitamin C Chewables are part of the Immune support line.
Deal Scenario #2:
Buy 2 Nature Made Vitamin C Chewables 60ct $8.49 each (based on online price)
Minus buy 1 get 1 FREE sale = $8.49 for both
Use the $2/1 Walgreens coupon found in the January coupon booklet (will deduct $4)
Plus, stack with 2 $1/1 coupon found in the January issue of All You mag.
Final cost only $1.25 each!
Has anyone tried going to WalMart to purchase this since they are agreeing to price match? Even at $3.49, with a $2.25 coupon, that is a superb deal. I don’t know what their stance would be about the RR.
For the L’oreal deal, I bought 6 voluminious mascaras for $5 each and had 2-$5/2 and 2-$2/1 and 2- $2RR’s and sent $14.10 with tax and got back a $5-RR!!!!! 🙂
Does Walgreens do rain checks for RR?
My store will raincheck for the sale price, but can’t do anything about the RR.
mine (Portage, WI) will give a raincheck for the items at what the price would’ve been after RR…last time I asked they didn’t so not sure if its new or i just got lucky but i’m liking it!
There is a $1 off the specific Oscillococcinum flu med at the same sight mentioned on the link.
For those of you who belong to AARP – have the cashier slide your card each time you make a purchase and you may receive coupons or discounts. This week they are offering a $5.00 register reward when you spend $20.00. I am in California – don’t know if this is offered in other states as well.
I have a question about the SlimFast deal. Are they really suppose to take off $3 per each 2 items purchased with the coupon from the January booklet? It doesn’t say that anywhere on the coupon and you can’t use more than one. I think they only took off $3 for me. Granted it’s still $20 for 6 packages of SlimFast items so it’s a good deal, just not as great as posted.
My Walgreens weekly add had a Trident or Stride gum IAC for 79 cents per pac and I had a $1/3 Trident coupon in my 1/2 paper (sorry, don’t remember which insert). Total 46 cents if anyone needs gum.
Rite Aid is the place to use your Trident gum coupon this week! Look over there for good deal!
I was able to get the Oscillococcinum with the coupon since someone put the adult version where the kid version was (so it didn’t beep) but of course the RR didn’t print, so we figured out the problem got the kid version and the RR, but for once when a mistake happened I made out because I got 2 breathe right coupons since I purchased and returned!
I got 4 free breath right cats and I only purchased 2 of the childrens medicine (2 seperate trans). It printed 2 per transaction. I was also able to use the $2.00 mq and $5.00 wags and only pay $1.99 and recieve the $9.00 RR. Good day at Wags! 🙂
Also – I noticed that Biore has a RR deal from 1/2/11 – 1/29/11. Buy 2 participating Biore items get $5.00 RR. There are $2.00 mq available and also $1.00 mq. The nose strips and other items were around $7.49. They had a heat activating face wash on clearance for $4.19. I bought 2 of those for $$8.38, used 2 – $2.00 mq and paid $4.38 and received the $5.00 RR. .62 Money maker! Yippee!
Today I tried to do the oscillococcinum for children deal using both the Walgreens coupond and a manufacturer’s coupon, and neither one of the coupons were accepted. I ended up not buying the product as a result. Walgreens must have changed their computers since some of the previous posters mentioned that their coupons were accepted.
I don’t know if this has been posted or not yet, but here is a $1/1 coupon for the Celsius Green Tea, making them free after RR instead of $0.99. I just used 4 at my local store. No beeps like the last Celsius coupon did.

Thanks! I will have to give that a try!
I am having trouble finding the huggies $2.50/1 q. Is it gone or am I just missing it?
i cant find it either!
Went in today and purchased (2) Coffeemate Peppermint Mocha liquid creamers for $2.49 each – but this week they are BOGO, also used $1.00 MFG coupon so I got 2 for $1.49 or $0.75/each! – Pretty excited! Doesn’t expire until May 2011!
Monthly deal on Walgreens brand products. Buy $15 worth get a $3 RR, spend $25 worth get a $5 RR. Includes Walgreens diapers (on sale for $6), Walgreens wipes, Walgreens Tampons (I saw some on clearance) and a few other Walgreens products (I cant remember what they were). But seems like a good deal for the diapers.
Spent $30.14, Received $43.50 in Register Rewards (money to be used on another visit) PLUS, catalina coupons for FREE 5 Breath Rite boxes, 1 Sierra Mist, and 75 cents off Vitamin Water. I basically got everything FREE, plus other FREEBies,… and then made $13.36.
I bought 8 boxes of cookies, 2 bottles Pantene conditioner, 3 boxes of Finish Dish detergent, 2 boxes Omega Factor 3, 3 boxes cold medicine, 8 cans mandarin oranges, 6 cans tomato sauce, 6 pkgs mechanical pencils.
In Regards to the $5.00 for the oscillococcinum–the Wags coupon in their booklet is for the regular med, the CHILDREN’S OSCILLOCOCCINUM is the item that is on the $8.99 buy, then get back $8.99 RR. The PRINTABLE is for the Children’s version, so they will take that, although the register was having trouble scanning it today. My Wags would not accept the booklet coupon as it was for a “different” item. So, still overage of $2.00 is not bad, but those of you that are scoring the total of $7.00, be pleased with your local Walgreens–it really is a case by case situation!
Collin Thank You Thank You Thank You!!! I was able to make $13.50 shopping today and purchase $73.70 worth of products. This even included my favorite treat, 2 bags of Indiana Kettle Popcorn. I was able to do the same at Rite Aid and lots of free cat food and batteries at Target. You rock for all you do again Thank You!
How did you get free cat food??? I need cat food bad! My stock has depleted! Thanks!
If i have 5 coupons for the Finish, can I do it all in one transaction, or will I need to do 5 seperate ones?
all seperate to get 5 rrs
Thank you!
Do any of you guys know where in the store I might find the ColonAide? I looked in the laxatives section-nothing. Then I looked in the vitamin/supplement section-nothing. I didn’t see any employee around to ask at the time. Any clue?
If anyone in UT county is still looking for the electrosol at Walgreens, the Springville Walgreens has a lot as of today. The packaging is a little unorthodox, but you still get the same 20 tablets.
Hey everyone maybe someone can help answer this question for me. I went to walgreens and purchased 4 vicks products, I was able to use 3 $4/1 coupons, so my total came to $4.96 with tax. I thought because my total before coupons was $16 that I should get $5 RR but according to the manager b/c my total was less than the RR he would not give me the $5 RR. Is this correct? Either way I got a great deal but would just like to know for future Walgreens visits.
I was about to post a similar question. I did the scenario described in Collin’s deals, but was told that because the coupons brought my total down to only $13 it no longer qualified. Is this a new policy? I can’t find it in the coupon policy anywhere.
