Thanks!! Did this offer the other day and found some pretty good deals on stuff. I got 2 tutus, which are normally $20 a piece and payed $7 a piece, 2 complete outfits, a pair of leggings, and then got a whole outfit(hoodie, pants, hat, and shoes) for my friend’s baby shower. I ended up paying $58 for all that, which is a pretty good deal.

  2. Anna

I was at my BRU yesterday and scored 5 layette sets for the soon-to-be here baby for less than $3 each – each set was at least 3 pieces. I am going to head back today or tomorrow to see what else I can score.

  3. Stephanie

hello Also , please keep in mind that Babies r us just changed there coupon policy… You can NO LONGER use your “rewards dollars” with a coupon. I had double checked before I started to shop & was told yes they can be combined still — My order rang up & and seemed high to me. I went to the car and sure enough the 40% never deducted/ i went back into the store & was told I can not use the reward money with other coupons…… I was a little upset because I had asked first 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I did it, even better really… 40% coupon, $10 off $50 clothes purchase and $25 of my rewards dollars all on the same order. AND that was just two days ago. It says explicitly on the Rewards policy that you can. It’s still online as of today. You might want to print it out and take it all back in. Sounds more like your store is making up rules like other stores have been known to do.

      • Taryn

I agree when I went in there and used the 40% off coupon the cashier specifically asked if I had any other coupons to use. So obviously at my store you can use more than one.

      • Liz

I also used all these coupons except my rewards was $4.

    • Jessica Schwartz

I work at BRU and in fact you CAN use the 40% off coupon with rewards dollars and rewards coupons. I had a lady come in and use $20.00 in rewards dollars, the $10.00 off $50.00 in clothes rewards coupon, and the 40% off coupon and it WORKED! She got a TON of stuff for only .95 :-]

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

thanks everyone…. i thought that was how it worked- i will print out there policy and go back 🙂 I was so angry I made them return all my stuff and give me my rewards dollars back/ stephanie

    • Blyth

I just used my rewards dollars yesterday as well, in addition to the coupon with the 40% off on clothes. In fact, after the reward dollars and the the coupon, I only paid $27.00, with a total savings of $167.00. I found shorts as low as a dollar before the additional discount, and I removed all of the hangers so all of the items would fit. I also found that the 75% off of Christmas, included items like a large Disney plush throw, for only $2.48. They also had 50% off of all Christmas books, that were ringing up lower then the marked price.

  4. Jessica Atkins

Oh that reminds me, they had onesie sets(5 in each set) for $3.00!! I didn’t get any because they were in boys but that is a really good deal!!! Then they had the pants that matched the set for $3.00 as well with 2 in the set.

  5. Mary

Well my cashier had no problem using my rewards with this coupon. I got two santa shirts for next year, marked down to 7.50, then 40% off that, then used my $4 reward and got them both after tax for 5.18!

  6. Melissa

I scored a lot of Little Miss Matched onsies, socks and bibs for under $2 a piece for my sisters new baby coming this spring.

I also got Skechers Twinkle Toes (reg $29.99) for $12.84 after the coupon! They wont fit my daughter till the summer but they are super cute! Im going back now that theres another coupon to print to try and find them again.

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Do rewards dollars get sent to you? I have a rewards cards, but I haven’t gotten any rewards dollars yet. Where did you get the $10 off $50 coupon?

    • Taryn

I’m not sure where people are getting the 10 off 50 but I finally realized that you have to go online and register your rewards number and all the certificates are online. 🙂 Just go to the toys r us website and then click on the Rewards r us link.

    • Miriam

$10 off $50 clothes purchase was mailed with my reward dollars in November and December

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

the $10 off $50 clothes was a “rewards members” coupon that came with my rewards dollars. She took the 40% off first and said as long as I was still over $50 she’d take it off.

I was at $64 ($12 of which was baby shower invites) so she took the other $10 off AND then I used $25 of rewards dollars.

I still have $25 in rewards for after Jan 14th. AND the 40% off coupon is either online or in the mailer so you can go back and do it again until the 23rd…

  8. Ruth

Does the $10 off $50 come off before the 40 percent?

  9. Niki

I went and did this yesterday. Although I got some cute things, they weren’t ridiculously cheap. I don’t think this is the last winter clearance sale and if you can wait, I suggest it. I got our son a Nike winter coat last year for six dollars! Most of the clearance in our store in Ohio seemed to be around fifty percent, but I know it will go way lower. Did find summer socks for $1.70 for three pairs and then forty percent off of that!

  10. M

Went yesterday to San Diego, CA w/ my flyer i got in the mail for the 40%off stuff ur bag and found tons of clothes marked @ $4-20 before the extra 40% was taken off. Shoes were $6-10 before 40% off cq. My total for 10 shirt/onesie, 5 pairs of shoes, 1 fancy dress, 2 sassy teething toys (b1g1/2 off) was $81 after cq’s. Also was able to use my bRus reward dollars and the 40% cq no problem.. lol and I picked up my 3 paks of wipes for $7- promo (((( thanks collin for posting the deal on Wipes!!!))

  11. Jamie

I went to BRU last Friday hoping to find some great deals and was dissapointed. I didn’t find much that was a good price. I was hoping to find sleepers for less than $8, but they were more than that with the 40% off. I can get these at Ross or TJ Maxx for $8. I did find some shoes at a good price tho, so I got the next 2 sizes for my boy!

  12. Amber

I went and did this deal Friday. I got my son some Nike shoes for $12.59! 🙂 They were orginally $31.99 on clearance for $20.98 and then 40% off that. I was excited to get him some good shoes. He has some now and they have lasted forever!

  13. Rebekah

I need to go check this out, I’m totally bummed I just tossed my $10/$50 rewards coupon for a clothing purchase because I didn’t think I could use it with this deal anyways because I was going to use rewards $$. Hoping to score a good deal on some shoes for my 21month old!

  14. Meg

I went yesterday and my favorite purchase was a 3 piece outfit for Christmas next year – white shirt, snowman vest and black cords for $10. I was happy with that.

  15. Kelly

I did not realize the $10 off of $50 could be used before the 40% off was taken into account?? I went the other day and spent more than I intended. I went to pick up my wipes for $7 and then spent $27 (after rewards)on clothes. I bought 4 packs of 4 onesies, 2 packs of socks (6 packs) 2 MLB outfits, 1 pair of shorts, a hat and a drink. I used $9 in rewards. After I went home I noticed 2 items were not reduced by 40% so make sure you check the receipt. Overall I thought the cearance prices were too high. I saw footed pjs for 14.99 on clearance. With 40% off they are still 8.99 which to me is not a good price at all. If I had thought about it more I would have spent only enough to cover the $9 in rewards. I am trying to be a smarter spender in 2011. We will see.

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’ve had my rewards card for over a year, but I didn’t realize that I had to register until today. Does that mean all the times I’ve used were a waste and I won’t get any rewards coupons for them?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I didn’t realize this for over 2 years! Once I got registered I noticed that I should have had a reward sent to me (as it shows montly statements of what you have spent). I called and explained, and they sent what I was owed.

  17. Megan

I went to the toysrus by my house and they had signs up already saying 40% so I went to ask for the bag and asked about my coupon and they said I would get 40% off twice. So I went back and picked out some more. I got tons of stuff including a winter coat marked 44.00 down to 7.00. In total I bought 8 things for 14 dollars and some change. I was happy. 🙂

  18. Jill

Went to BRU today and it was pretty picked over! Got a few outfits the next size up for my daughter but with the coupon they were still around 4 dollars per outfit. Not too bad (2 bucks a piece) Got 3 jacket/pant sets that will be great for spring and fall of next year! Shoes were completely empty. Was hoping to pick up some twinkle toes but they were all gone.

  19. Amanda

I am new to the rewards and I got sent my first set, can you use more than one at a time?? I thought you can use just one at a time, cause I had a 5 dollar, and two 4 dollars so can I use them all at the same time??

  20. Chelsea

Luckily I am still vacationing for Christmas and am actually in a city with a Toys-R-Us. I went to check Toys-R-Us for a different deal yesterday. So glad I did, because I scored BIG on this sale!! I ended up getting 37 items or sets (like a five piece onesie set, six pack of socks) for $76.00 which included the 9% sales tax!! It consisted of 11 onesies (four long sleeve) 5 shirts, 2 sweater vests, one hoodie, 2 swimmer shirts, 2 swim suits, 2 pairs of shoes, one pack of socks, one pair of shorts, 2 3-pc layette sets, a five pack of onesies, 3 girl shirts, 2 girl pants, a halloween hoodie and sweat pant set, plus the free bag!

Then, we went to Babies-R-Us…unfortunately most of the clearance there was still pretty expensive (or all girls clothes–I was only looking for my son). Buy, I ended up getting 3 fleece sleepers, a hoodie, a long sleeve tshirt, and a 3 pc layette set for a shower gift…paying $31.

My mom and I added up the original prices and it came to $392.06 but we paid just over a hundred for over 40 pieces. A lot of it was Carter’s brand and all of it was very cute!! I’m not going to have to buy stuff for my baby for a long time!!

  21. Katie

i got 31 items for 52 bucks. They are really cute! There was a lady in the little boys area that was scanning items and marking them down further while I was browsing. She said if I saw anything to let her scan them first and make sure they weren’t marked down more. I think the most expensive item I got was around 3.50 everything else was close to 1.50! Great deals.

  22. lisha

went and did this earlier tonight. didn’t have anything cute for boys at my store and it was all still expensive even with the 40% off so all i got was a couple packages of socks

  23. Natasha

I got 2 outfits, 3 shirts, a hoodie, pack of socks and a pair of shoes for $20. I am a happy camper 🙂

  24. Kristin

I didn’t find much in the clothes that would be a good price even after the additional 40% off. outfits would still be at least $6-7 which is the regular price for the same item at Costco. I did pick up a bunch of socks, though, for my oldest and some for gifts as well as a pair of leather baby shoes (think Robeez wannabies) for $5.40 to give as a gift. Wish there were more clothes at better prices, but I’m happy with my socks!

  25. Diana

I went yesterday and stuffed my bag FULL of long sleeved tops, sweater vests and fleece sweatshirts that my son can wear now, as well as some larger sized clothes (tops, pants) that he will grow into. All in all, I got about 20 pieces of clothing for around $60, after the 40% off and a $5 rewards coupon. (Couldn’t use the $10 off $50 because it expired 12/31). A great deal! I love when this sale rolls around!

  26. Cheryl

I wish I had known about this sooner and went early AM the first day of the sale! I went Sunday and I could not find any clothes or shoes for my daughter. In fact, there were no shoes left except 2 pairs! Also, the clothes that were left were all smaller sizes and not even that great of a deal.

I did wind up getting the toilet paper/paper towel deal. Did anyone else? I know the prices are probably a bit high right? but I just liked the idea of getting the gift card ;).

I am not sure what to purchase with the gift card for the best deal. Any suggestions? I am considering getting a Hasbro product so that I can also score a free toy from them.

  27. Kim M

Hey I wanted to know how do I get my Rewards? I spent a lot of money this holiday season and used my card each visit. I recieve many emails form Toys R US but have not recieved any emails reagrding the rewards. Thanks for the help.

    • MommySpendsLess

Go here: https://rewardsrus.toysrus.com/ and log in (or register your card) and you can print your certificates.

As others have said it looks like they’re dividing up your rewards into two separate coupons with different redemption periods, which is disappointing because the closest Toys R Us is about 20 miles away. I wish they would have been more clear about that when they were advertising their 10% off promotion everywhere. I read earlier that it was going to be divided up into two earning periods, 10/31/2010 – 12/12/2010 and 12/13/2010 – 12/24/2010 but all my purchases were on 11/21 and 12/3 so I should’ve gotten just one coupon. It would also be nice if they were mailed or emailed to you, or at least a reminder since the first one already expires on 1/14.

      • Mariya

Thank you! I was able to get mine due to your comment.

      • kim

        Thank you so very much.

  28. BabyS

I was not given the $10 off of $50 my total purchase was 67 dollars. I was able to use the 10 r us reward dollars. Where does it say I can so I can print it out & take it to they so they can give me my $10.00 !! lol Thank you !

  29. Jennifer

Does anyone know if we can use this coupon more than once? I’d be happy to only receive the one tote, but I’m wondering if I can take my tote to a second “r” us store and get some more 40% off clothing?
