  2. Monica

i got this coupon today and got my free Dove dark chocolate! I’m glad Dove was included, I am tired of the Reeses, regular old Hersheys, and Snickers kind of deals.

  3. debra

OMG, So funny but I did get this coupon this am but I thought it was Dove SOAP!! LOL! I passed up on the deal since the travel size soap was .99! That is sooo funny! I will definitely go back for my chocolate today!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Me too! lol

    • tina

UGH!!! I NEED A CVS URGENTLY!!! My Aunt Flow will be coming tomorrow or Tuesday and I need chocolate!!!!! & some chips to go with it 😉 lol

  5. MarieE

Ok… Weird question… What is the magic coupon machine? This is my first weekend trying this coupon stuff 🙂

    • Elizabeth

It’s the red machine located somewhere near the front of the store (usually). Just scan your card and coupons print. I always scan it until it says no more coupons available 🙂

    • Wendy

It’s not a weird question, if you’re new! And stores in my town just got them in the last year, so there may still be some out there without them. It’s a freestanding kiosk (actually called the CVS Extracare Coupon Center, but what fun is that? LOL) – in our stores it’s close the the front end of an aisle not too far from the door – where you can scan your ExtraCare card & get CVS coupons. These make for some awesome deals! Here’s a link to the CVS website with a picture of the kiosk so you know what you’re looking for. HTH https://www.cvs.com/extracarecouponcenter/

    • Michelle

Its what they said, but its also a price checker to see how much an item is (just in case that description might help, lol).

  6. Amy

I got this deal today and a ton of 75% christmas clearance

    • Therese

The CVS here still has their Christmas clearance at only 50% off!! 🙁

      • debra

Check the price scanner as my CVS had signs up 50% but they scanned 75% off!! Yayy! The store manager told me last week they were going 75% today so I double checked.

        • Therese

I did check, this was early this afternoon 🙁

          • debra

don’t give up hope! hope you still have a good selection and get lots!!

  7. mrslauriemclean

I just got back from CVS and did this deal! I was surprised to see all of the different candy that was in the Snickers deal – Skittles, Starburst and more – spend $.89 get $.89 ECB. Luckily, I did get the $.50 Dove Chocolate coupon and noticed that was part of the deal. Thanks so much, Collin, for helping me have a keen eye for deals! I was proud of finding this one on my own. LOL!

  8. angela

got mine too! but i was noticing that gummi savers was also included- and for those of you who have not used the bogo gummi savers that you printed from coupons.com that would mean 2 free packs after coupon and extra care bucks! …..I already used mine last week
🙁 when they were 2 for 1 dollar- so not bad it came out to .25 cents each

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got the .50 off coupon from the machine today and was surprised to see that Dove chocolate was on the promotion. I actually wasn’t sure if it was the same promotion or a different one (just because Dove was never on previos snickers etc. promotions before and it’s not on the ad).
I asked the girl at the register and she told me it was a separate promotion, so I also took snickers. After I paid, it only printed one ECB back (for the Snickers), but the girl at the register said it was a mistake and printed me another one manually.
Now I realize that I accidentaly scored 2 free chocolates after ECB, oh well 🙂

  10. amy

Got mine today to! I love my chocolate espically dove! Made my day.

  11. Amy

I was pleasantly surprised to get this today too! What a great treat!

  12. jill

Got mine, plus .69 conditionar for my hair!

  13. mary

Got mine today!!!! Love Dove chocolate!

  14. CoffeeB

Since it’s only one per transaction..I can’t remember, but, can we go back later in the week and do it again? Or will it remember that you’ve already done this ECB?

    • debra

it is tied to your CVS card and will know you did this deal already. If you look at the bottom of your receipt you should see “offer limit reached”. Bummer I know as I would definitely clean them out on this one. Sorry, I would have no shame when it comes to Dove. LOL

    • mrslauriemclean

Limit one per Extra Care card (1 per household, really) – so it will remember.

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

just got back from cvs and also got a $1 magic q for snickers bagged candy. they happen to have snickers bagged candy from christmas 75% off starting today paid .12 for a bag not bad!

  16. Dana

Darn I got this coupon today but didnt realize it would give an ECB and got the Snickers instead. Oh well no big deal!

  17. Cindy

After reading this I went to CVS and got mine too. ALso cashed in on the Maalox deal this week. I got 4 maalox, one dove bar, 2 20oz cokes, 1 king size reese’s, and 1 peanut butter snickers so I could use my $10 wisk ECB from last week. I spent #2.59 out of pocket and got back $12.48 in ECB. Not a back shopping day. I had to get a raincheck on the finish dish detergent since they were all out.

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

were’s my e-mail w/a code? Should it take this long (10 min.)?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oops, this is for the Nestle’s game post.. my bad

      • debra

LOL. I didn’t get my code for one email account and tried signing up with a different email and used the code from the other one and it worked. But I never did get a code for the second email acct. Oh well.

    • Melindatx3

It came in my Spam mail.

  19. Melissa

I got this coupon also, however, the cashier told me it wouldn’t scan for Dove chocolate… it was meant for a single bar of soap…. hmm….

  20. Sharon

I’m pretty new to Hip2save. Please tell me about the magic coupon machine. Thanks

    • Anonymous

Someone asked the same thing above and received an answer, just read through the comments! 😀

    • Lauren

That’s the red coupon machine at CVS. I think they use to be price scanners only, but now you can scan your ExtraCare card and coupons print out of the right side of the machine.

  21. Niki Velez

Today at CVS I got 4 free airwick automatic spray refills for free.

Deal spend 20 and get 10 ECB
    Buy 4 at $5 each and use 2 B1G1 coupons= 4 Items free

  22. Jessica

The magic coupon machine gave me both the dove coupon and a coupon for a free snickers…the better deal was to use my coupon for the free snickers because I didn’t pay a penny for it and then I got back .89 in ECBs!

  23. NightmareReader

Sorry guys, need to vent…So, I took my sister to the CVS in Lake Worth, FL on Saturday to use the free Excedrin coupons to get that $10ECB when you buy $20 Excedrin deal. I was so excited, she is just getting into couponing and we had enough coupons sent to our houses to do the deal. We took our items to the register and the cashier immediately called for her manager. She said she thought they might be fake or copies. I assured her that they are even printed on special paper and have individual ID numbers on them, making them very real and NOT copies. Her manager arrived and proceeded to tell me that they WERE photo copies because the numbers were the same (pointing to the UPC scanner on the coupon) and that he wouldn’t accept them. Nothing I said or explained could convince this man that we were not committing any kind of fraud. He even said “What would prevent you people from bringing in 1,000 of these things? Nothing.” How rude. Needless to say my sister was EXTREMELY embarrassed and we left without buying anything. Thinking about writing their corporate office. The CVS near me is wonderful and never turns my coupons down. It’s a shame that things like this can turn people away from using money saving coupons.

    • DP

I think you would be better served by calling- If I am not mistaken, they have some sort of new policy that they do not respond to letters via email.

    • Shannon

Definitely call corporate with the store number and manager’s name. They have always been SO helpful to me and understanding. I always tell them how much I love CVS and that they specifically win my business because of their fabulous sales and acceptance of coupons. Last time I called about a cashier not accepting my coupons (I had two items and two coupons and, they said I could I only use one coupon) they said that they would do further training on that store and educate them. I think you will be satisfied when you call them – in the right spirit, of course! 😉

  24. Samantha

I too got the coupon out of the machine, so i put my snickers back to get the dove instead but when I got to the register the cashier said that they received an email saying that these coupons are for the single bars of dove soap, not the candy… 🙁

  25. Katie S.

My CVS trip was great today. The magic coupon machine printed a free CVS hand sanitizer coupon (value up to $1.69.) Plus, the Christmas stuff was 90% off. I was able to get the Finish Dishwasher detergent and I thought got a pretty good deal on Sobe. Started with a $10 ecb, did 3 transactions, spent $34.24, and got a little over $300 worth of stuff, plus have a $10 ecb for my next visit!

    • Darlena

      where is your CVS?

  26. Michelle

I got this one! I had to scan my card a second time for it to come out, so if you don’t get it the first time, try again! Thanks!!

  27. Liz

I got 2 of these Qs and used them on dove bars of SOAP and they came off. ?? What’s that about?!?! LOL

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

If they work, they work…I have been using them for the Dove chocolate bars, I wonder if they are supposed to be for the soap??

  28. deborahann

I got this coupon from the red coupon machine! Yippee, I cant believe I am being paid for eating chocolate!
