I really am very close to ordering the Gevalia coffee maker, since my previous Gevalia is hanging on its last leg so to speak. I am not crazy about white either. Does anyone think this Cuisinart would be better than the Gevalia coffee maker ??

We love our Cuisinart. The best features are the extra metal filter that works in addition to a regular filter and that it’s programable. We have one in stainless steel, but I assume this is the same version.
I think we have the same coffee maker. I have this exact one, but in the black/stainless steel. I absolutely LOVE it. The metal filter is super convenient and I love that its programmable. Nothing too fancy, but has all the features I need and works great. I highly recommend it!

I just spent $50 on a stainless steel cuisinart coffeemaker at Ross but you better believe i’m buying this as a back-up OR as a gift. They also have cuisinart toaster in white on sale for $18 plus some change. I’m replacing my FREE Gevalia with this one. My Gevalia one (white with stainless steel accents, programmable and has the supposed no drip feature as well) doesn’t make hot enough coffee (when I add milk it gets too cold) and even though it stays on long, the coffee is sludge by the time I have my last cup. Plus I have to clean it once a week to get good coffee out of it. No bueno. Giving my sister my Gevalia one as soon as this one gets here!

This is the best coffee maker ever!!! And what a steal at just under $25. One of the perks for me was that water doesn’t spill out of the carafe when you fill up the water reservoir. Enjoy!
I got it at $35.00 in white, great deal. But, the rebate says “This offer good for purchases made between 07-01-10 and 12-31-10. Any response received after 1-31-11 is not eligible….doesn’t this mean it isn’t good anymore?

The rebate states that it’s good for 10.00 if purchased through Amazon. It doesn’t apply to products sold by third party merchants and other sellers through the amazon website. 🙁 I guess I should have read the fine print. It is still a good buy though. I bought it as a gift for my youngest daughter is who moving out in a couple of months.
i checked and it was still 55, but then refreshed about 5 minutes later and dropped back to 34 for the white. it has done this 2 different times for me, about an hour or so apart. so if you really want it, i would say, keep checking since amazon prices are constantly changing. and yes, mine was through amazon directly, so the rebate is good for the one i purchased, so final price is around 24.
