Update – Darn!  Looks like they’ve run out! 🙁

Woohoo!  Through 4/30, Fandango and Hewlett Packard have teamed up to offer $5 off any movie ticket purchase!  Keep in mind that this promotion is valid only once per email address and you will be required to pay an online convenience fee of $1.25 per ticket; also this deal is not valid with any other promotions or discounts.  If you’re planning to see a matinee this weekend, this will definitely make for a pretty sweet deal!  Here’s what you’ll need to do…

1. Just head on over here and enter your city location/zip code in the box to find theaters in your area that offer online ticketing
2. Select a theater and follow the steps to purchase your ticket(s) and $5 will automatically be deducted from your order while supplies last
3. Complete the purchase process and follow the instructions on your confirmation page to claim your tickets at the theater.

Enjoy! 🙂

I did this deal this morning!! Our matinee price is only $4 so the $5 will go towards the convenience fee too. I bought 3 tickets to take my son to see Rio next week for his birthday and only had to pay 25 cents per ticket! 🙂

So you can buy it now and redeem the ticket later???? Like next month??

If your theaters has show times listed that far in advance then yes

        Thanks!

You have to choose the theater, date and time and a specific movie. The tickets that I bought today are for next week. You get to choose everything though.

Thanks so much Collin! Great timing for this deal since my boyfriend and I were going to see a movie this weekend!

When you check out does it show your discount?? I’ve bought 2 tickets and it doesn’t show the discount. I just want to make sure I’m getting the deal. I still need to buy 4 more tickets with different email addresses.

I just tried it again to make sure it’s still working. After you click on your showtime, the next page will take you to where you click how many tickets you want. Just choose one and then continue (I did it as a guest each time). Then it will show the discount applied.

Also, under where it says Ticket Quantity, it says:

HP Promotion: Your discount will be automatically applied to your order on the review page.

After I clicked continue, the discount showed up everytime. I just tested it again and it’s still working.

Does it show the discount at checkout? I bought 2 tickets with different email addresses and it said I was charged $6.50 for today’s matinee (regular price). I need to buy more but don’t want to pay the service charge if I’m not getting the discount. Thanks for any help!

It did for me on the final page. Also on the copy of the ticket that prints after you submit, it shows that I was charged 25 cents.

The is only valid once per email fandango account. So it will only take $5 per email account. I purchased two but under different accounts of my family members to get both with the $5 discount. Hope this helps. Im taking my son to see Rio on Sunday. I cant wait.
